[Chloe’s POV]

“What is this? What happened?” Edric asked in surprise.

Everyone looked at the scene before their eyes. Did Eden suddenly turn into sand? It was as if they had just woken up from a dream.

Someone clapped his hand hard, Magnus walked forward a few steps.

“Amazing, really great. Unusual strength is in the body of a little woman like you.” Magnus watched me from top to bottom with sparkling eyes.

“I'm curious, what kind of baby you gave birth to in this world..”.

I growl. It's good that he thinks he can see my son like he saw a show at the zoo.

“Mama! Papa!”

My eyes grew and looked back. Dwayne's left hand was raised upwards, waving towards us while his right hand was grasped by a pale-skinned man with green eye beads.

Dwayne took off his hand and ran towards Dimitri, he was immediately picked up by his papa.

“Dwayne, papa told you to wait on the ship only.” Dimitri looked at the man who was carrying his son.

“Sorry, I didn't mean anything bad. I met him sitting down there alone. This cute little boy should not be left unattended.” The man smiled gently.

“Santiago..” Sofia walks past Edric. His hands were wrapped around the man's arms.

Edric's jaw is hardened. “Santiago? Why do you know Magnus' right hand?”

“Sofia, you know all of them?” The man named Santiago asked.

“Yes, that's my second child Chloe and her husband, Dimitri.” Sofia's eyes looked at the child being carried. “And you must be my grandson, Dwayne.”

Dwayne glanced at his mom and dad.

“She's your grandmother, Sofia.”

“Can I carry you?” sofia asked doubtfully as she stuck out her two hands. Eyes glazed.

Dwayne nodded and Sofia's tears fell as she clutched her small body.

“Grandmother Dwayne? Then Sofia will come home with us?”

“No, dear. My house is here. Edric already has a wife. Lady Suarez will definitely not be happy.”

Edric hurriedly interjected, “I've long separated the house with him. We can be together again, Sofia. Nothing stands in our way like it used to.”

Santiago hugs Sofia's shoulder from behind. “Edric, it seems you have not heard the news that I already have a wife.”

“Cannot..”.

“Yes, Sofia is my wife.”

“So you've changed it??” Edric clenched his hands so tightly.

“I don't know who he is. But ever since Sofia asked me to take her pain away, I have fallen in love with her. Sofia is the woman I was destined for.”

“What did you say? Sofia is mine!”

Before this was all a second bloodbath, I hurriedly calmed the situation down.

“Papa, you still owe me an explanation. And we'd better get home soon because here's not the right place to talk.”

I glanced at Dwayne and Edric nodded in understanding. He can solve his problem with Sofia later. Why did Santiago say mom was the woman he was meant to be? Maybe he's just lying. But he looks very serious.

“Sofia, I'll be back once the problems in my kingdom are resolved. I also want to talk to you, Santiago.”

The man nodded and he brought Sofia into the castle, whereas Edric could only stare at them away.

“Who is he, mama?” dwayne asked as his eyes looked at Magnus.

“He is the clan head who lives in this castle.”

Magnus laughed out loud. “I like this kid. Dwayne, once you're big, don't forget to look for me.”

“Ehm!!” Dwayne nodded for sure.

Dimitri and I could only exchange looks of disbelief. Dwayne is the greatest at capturing people's hearts.

After parting ways with the head of the Children of the Night Clan, our ship sailed home. Oh, don't forget I whispered to Alaric.

“Stop your cunning plan because nothing can separate me from Dimitri.”

I got out of the cabin after a long talk with Edric. All my suspicions and misunderstandings were resolved. A few days before his coronation, Prince Dixon got drunk and complained that he had killed King Azov to a friend.

Knowing what Prince Dixon did was an unusual crime, he reported what he had heard to his father who happened to be a middle-level official. Then he told her what his son had told Edric.

Edric who had been loyal to serve King Azov was of course angry. He searches for Prince Dixon and drags him before Empress Juliana to confess. But Prince Dixon insisted he was not the one who killed his father.

Then under the influence of Edric's manipulation of the mind, he confessed all his deeds. He mixed the potion into his own father's drink. The potion made the stamina and concentration of King Azov decreased. That's why he couldn't escape the boar attack.

Empress Juliana condemned it but she could do nothing. He made Edric promise that Prince Dixon's actions should not be spread.

Finally Prince Dixon can waltz free without any meaningful punishment.

“But he can't escape God's punishment. I think Dixon deserves that karma for being such an ungodly child.” I finished my story with Dimitri, a little slapped with my own words because I was almost a disobedient child as well.

We were standing at the end of the deck of the ship, and Dwayne had fallen asleep on his papa's shoulder. I held back some of the wind-struck hair while looking at the end of the ocean, remembering how I used to want to run away from her side.

But now I can't imagine any place other than being next to Dimitri.

“How about Edric? Looks like she's very shaken.”

“I think Edric can still hold on for now. Many tasks he had to complete in Azov.” Kingdom I let out a breath. “This is also a punishment for him for already leaving mama and making her miserable.”

Dimitri nodded. “Luckily, I've already passed that sentence. What do you think of Empress Juliana?”

“In my opinion, Empress Juliana was also quite wise. He can appreciate women and not be ashamed if his war commander is a woman but it's not my problem anymore after giving up the status of war commander.”

Dimitri raised his eyebrows. “Hmm... So what do you want to do now?”

“Not yet. I still think about it,” I said with a small smile. I felt my whole soul very calm and serene.

But it seems Dimitri was not satisfied with my answer. “Hey, just like that?”

I laughed and put my head on his chest. Not waiting for long, one of his hands held me tight.

“Which I know for sure, I will always be by your side with our son.”

“Thank you for coming into my life, little rose.”

She used to call me little babu but now I'm her little rose. Dimitri kissed my head and I closed my eyes.

Every story has an end. But for Chloe and Dimitri, their story has just begun, to live in love with each other in eternity for good.
