Elena, Evans, and Jemima have just arrived at K. The plan is to stay in a five-star hotel which is quite close to the Wileen Group branch office building.
Arriving at the hotel, without rest first they immediately went to see Mr. Jeff, the head of the project, looked at the location.
After going through several procedures and wearing a safety helmet, the three were invited around to see the performance of the workers. Evans, Elena, and Jemima greeted the friendly workers who welcomed their arrival with courtesy.
"Be careful Mr. Evans, Mrs. Elena, and Mrs. Jemimas. Some of the scattered equipment or iron buildings might slightly hinder your steps." Mrs. Jeff who was guiding them walked in front gave a warning.
Evans nodded. The man then walked ahead of Elena and extended his left hand to the younger brother.
Elena happily welcomed the man's hand. Evans' large, smooth, warm hands made Elena's chest pound hard.
From behind, the girl could clearly see Evans and Leon's posture in turn. Leon's appearance used to look a little shabby and simple, as well as his hands. Leon has a slightly rough hand as he often does a wide variety of heavy work. Not so with Evans.
The man had a smoother hand than Leon. However, the warmth of their hands remained the same.
Evans removed some small debris and sharp objects that might have blocked Elena's move. The man also helped the sister through a pile of iron that had to be stepped over, by lifting her tiny body. Fortunately, she was not wearing a skirt and heels.
Finished touring, Evans asked Jemima to book three simple restaurants located not far from there, in appreciation for their hard work.
The offer was, of course, greeted cheerfully by the workers. They thanked the two brothers.
"Thank you, Mr. Evan and Miss Elena," said one worker to them, followed by other voices.
Evans nodded his head. Sometimes he welcomes the outstretched hands of workers who want to shake hands, without feeling uncomfortable by their dirty hands.
Jemima who already knows the other side of Evans looks mediocre. However, it was something rare for Elena.
The beautiful girl smiled and followed in the footsteps of the older brother. He did not hesitate at all to accept the handshake of the family fighters.
Elena was more amazed at the figure of the sister, when Jemima asked the three restaurant bills.
Without further ado, Evans paid all the bills using his personal credit card instead of a corporate credit card.
Touched by her actions, Elena took out her credit card and handed it to Jemima.
"No need, let me!" sergeant Evans.
"I know, my money isn't as much as yours, so there's no need to brag!" Elena forces Jemima to accept her credit card.
Not wanting to see the brothers arguing, inevitably, Jemima accepted his second credit card to do the paying.
The three of them also joined in to enjoy lunch together.
...***...
By late afternoon, Evans, Elena, and Jemima went around to several stores of their products, before returning to the hotel. Only in the evening, without Jemima, did they attend a dinner invitation from one of his close friends at a famous restaurant.
Simon did ask them to come on behalf of him, who was unable to attend due to health issues. Lately, his health condition is declining, although it is not too serious.
The doctor simply asked Simon not to travel much in advance. What's more he has a history of heart disease and hypertension.
"Thank you for coming all the way here, Mr. Evans and Mrs. Elena." Mr. George greeted them with great piety.
As an invited guest, despite his age being far adrift, the 50-year-old man who still looked handsome was kindly approaching them first.
Mr. George even gently kissed the back of Elena's hand, before finally leading them to the table and allowing her to sit down.
Mr. George then introduced two of his sons who were present there. "This is Adam, my eldest son who is 24 years old, and the other one is my youngest pitra, Max, who is 15 years old."
The four shook hands. The eyes of Adam, Mr.'s eldest son. George, to Elena makes Evans feel a little uncomfortable. It was obvious that the man had an interest in his sister.
Elena was chatting with Adam and Max.
Adam was the one who opened his voice more than his brother.
The man recounted that their mother lived far abroad to pursue her career as an opera singer.
The four of them actually lived together, but only he, father, and sister were the ones who often returned to the homeland.
"Now it's your turn. What are your activities other than work?" ask Adam.
"lectures. I only went to the office two or three times in one week" Elena replied kindly.
"Good, that way you can learn before you actually jump into your father's business world" Adam said.
Elena smiled.
Adam then asks Elena to go down to the dance floor as romantic music accompanies diners.
Elena looked ahead and found that several visitors had descended there with their respective partners.
Evans was chatting with Mr. George turned his head, as Adam took Elena's hand to follow her to the dance floor.
The man watched the awkward-looking Elena, as Adam held onto her waist and guided the girl's hand to circle her neck.
With relaxed and gentle movements, they moved in harmony.
"It seems, Adam is interested in your sister, Mr. Evans. I can see a match there." Mr. George laughing.
Hearing that, Evans simply responded to Mr. George with a small laugh. For some reason, in his heart he felt very unhappy to see the togetherness of Elena and Adam.
Evans sharpened his eyes, as Adam suddenly tightened his body at Elena and whispered fondly in the girl's ear.
His hand involuntarily clasped hard the fork he was holding.
Not knowing why, the man was eager to pull the body of the sister from the arms of another man. However, he certainly could not possibly be able to do that, because it would definitely look very strange.
After dinner, the two immediately returned to the hotel.
"Sister why? You seem to be holding back the frustration, "Elena said when she found an unpleasant look on Evans' face.
"It's okay." Evans replied.
The brother's voice that sounded flat made Elena frown.
"Yes already." Not wanting to take it for a moment, he shrugged and chose to look at the scene outside the taxi window.
The atmosphere inside the taxi was quite silent for a while, until Evans suddenly reopened his voice. "You seem to feel very comfortable being close to Adam, even though you just got to know each other?"
Elena turned her eyes away from the window. "Yes. He's a friendly guy who's quite fun. We even exchanged mobile numbers, and promised to take me for a walk while in the city where we live" explained the girl with a sparkling face.
Hearing Elena's reply, Evans' face grew even flatter.
"Why indeed?" elena asked curiously.
"I just want to remind you not to be too friendly with men, if you want to look expensive."
The pleasure that had lingered in his heart all day, was simply shattered by a line of painful words that Evans uttered.
Elena restrained herself from rebuking the man. "You may be as good as an angel, but your mouth sometimes still has rottenness!"
