My brother turned out to be my husband

My brother turned out to be my husband
Chapter 64: A Confession.

"The movie was boring for a long time. Can I just replace it with another movie?" Elena turned her gaze from the television screen to Evans. Even though the film has run more than half the duration, it has even entered a pretty tense scene, but the girl did not feel it at all.

Elena only felt the excitement in the first minutes.

Evans did not answer. The man simply sat down beside Elena while staring at the television screen with a blank look.

Elena frowned when she found five cans of soda lying in front of Evans.

Suspicious of the drink consumed by her brother, the girl took one empty can. "Alcohol!" exclaim Elena.

"Sister, are you drunk? Then how are we gonna get home? My body has not recovered properly to be able to drive a car!" screech the girl then. His hand shook Evans' body half-strongly.

However, instead of answering or responding to Elena's panic, the man instead brushed off the sister's hand while speaking harsh words.

Getting such treatment, Elena was a little surprised. But he quickly accepted it, as Evans was semi-conscious.

"Sister, we better go home. Let me book a cab downstairs," Elena suggested later. He wouldn't risk their safety if the rake was carrying his own car.

Evans turned to Elena and brought his face closer to the girl. "You turned out to be that kind of girl, huh?" asked Evans while frowning deeply.

"Huh? Whatchu mean?" Confused by her brother's reaction, Elena asked.

Instead of answering Elena's question, the man laughed out loud as he struck his own thigh repeatedly, as if he was facing a very funny situation.

"You!" His hand pointed right at Elena's nose. "You're an imposter!"

Elena brushed Evans' hand. "What, the hell, I don't understand what you mean!" annoyed.

"No! No! You understand Elena. You purposely did all this just to punish me and make me suffer! And without even doing this, I've suffered, Elena!" yelled the man.

Elena remained silent. The girl was still trying to digest Evans words.

"When I was trying to forget you, it turned out that you easily found me. You're trying to pull me back, even if you have to face my abusive attitude and words." Evans stopped the conversation for a moment, then went to the kitchen.

Elena, who could guess what the man was about to do, stopped him. "Sister, you're so drunk! We'd better go home" Elena said, pulling Evans' hand.

Evans brushed it off. "No need to care so much about me. If so, it should be that after I made the promise that time, you did not forget everything about me. Why, El? Why am I the only one you forget? You must be pretending to do it to punish me, right?"

Hearing the long rant from Evans' mouth, Elena was shocked. The girl's face looked a little panicked for a few seconds, before then trying to look ordinary.

"Don't talk carelessly! I don't understand what you mean! Come on, get ready, we'll go home." No matter what kitchen Evans was heading to, the girl picked up her bag and took her sister away from there.

However, just a few steps Elena walked, her hand was suddenly forcefully pulled by Evans in order to hold her tightly.

"Please, remember me, El. I was Leon, your husband in the past, and you were Iris, my beloved wife in the past. A bitter event has us trapped in a vicious cycle of reincarnation, filled with despair" Evans said.

Elena fell silent, not intending to return Evans' increasingly stiff embrace.

"I love you, Elena. The fear of repeated bitter events forced me to sacrifice everything, including this excruciating feeling."

Hearing the man's love statement, Elena widened her eyes. Because, all this time he had never heard it directly.

As if she was losing focus, Elena did not even realize, that Evans was now frowning her lips.

...***...

The sunlight that penetrated the window of Evans' apartment room, made the owner wake up from his sleep.

"Gee!" He just remembered that they were in the apartment since last night.

Frustration that shackles make Evans reckless to drink alcoholic beverages that he deliberately bought secretly when out of the apartment for a while while they were busy enjoying the film.

Evans tried to remember what happened last night until he could lie in his room. However, the more he tried to remember, the more his head felt dizzy. In fact, his stomach was starting to shake.

Hurrying, Evans went to the bathroom to get his entrails out while washing himself.

Finished doing his activities in the bathroom, Evans came out with a fresher face.

The man immediately went over to Elena who was cooking breakfast for them.

"Sorry, because of me, we don't go home" Evans said as he arrived near his sister.

"It's okay." Elena replied flatly, without looking back at him.

Getting an odd treatment from Elena, Evans suddenly frowned.

"Why him? Did I do something wrong last night?" ask Evans in your heart.

He was wondering whether or not to ask that question.

"Breakfast first, and then we go home. I've made drunk drinks too" Elena said as she passed by Evans.

Evans followed the girl from behind and sat down at the dining table. The two started a poor breakfast in a quiet atmosphere.

Occasionally, Evans glanced at Elena who was busy eating her tuna sandwich.

"You know, I'm uncomfortable being stared at continuously like that. Just tell me what you want to talk about." Elena's words were thrown suddenly, making Evans almost choke. In a hurry, he pointed out the white water in front of him.

"Nothing." Evans is lying.

"Don't lie!"

Somehow hearing Elena's voice made Evans feel a little frightened.

"I just... Last night I must have done something, right?" asked the man hesitating.

Elena fell silent for a moment and chewed on the last bite of her sandwich. "Nothing, you're just raving indistinctly about a boring movie and going to bed. I took you home a few times, but you refused" replied the girl later.

Evans raised both eyebrows. I don't know why Elena's answer felt unreasonable in the man's mind.

"You sure?" Evans tried to convince.

"Tomorrow I'll set up the CCTV so you know for yourself, how annoying you are!"

After saying so, Elena rushed to the bathroom and asked Evans to quickly finish her breakfast, as they would be home soon.

Evans stared at Elena's departure until she disappeared behind the bathroom door.

His heart was now completely unsettled.

"What is it?" Inner man it is.
