My brother turned out to be my husband
Chapter 62: Family Compassion.

"Thank you" Elena told Evans, who had just helped her get out of the car.

As Doctor James once said, Doctor Michael also seemed amazed by the body of Elena who has a faster healing process than humans. It cannot be explained medically.

Doctor Michael even had time to blatantly ask Simon for permission to examine Elena's body deeper. However, the man firmly rejected her. He also asked the hospital not to issue any statement to the public, in order to prevent unwanted things in the future. After all, the Wileen family was a very famous family.

Doctor Michael who understood Simon's attitude finally apologized for asking such permission. Not to forget, he also said that there was absolutely no bad intention behind the research he originally wanted to do.

"Together" replied Evans calmly.

During Elena's time in the hospital, Evans tried to take care of the girl and accompanied her for almost twenty-four hours. The man was even willing to leave his job at Blue Ocean City, and leave it entirely to Dennis to manage for a while.

Even so, Evans really felt the distance between himself and Elena was now very far. The girl never brought up the matter at all and treated Evans like a new person known.

Despite the disappointment in his heart, Evans still tried to look fine.

She is determined to restore Elena's memory, as well as the memory of their togetherness.

Evans slowly embraced Elena into the house. Some maids who had been waiting for their arrival rushed to run to the young employer, including Lily.

However, once they saw the figure of Evans who now has a thin beard and mustache, they were all shocked.

A rapture of excitement emanated after. They also welcomed Evans home with great joy.

Evans was surprised. He thought his presence used to have no meaning in this house.

"Thank God you've come back" Lily said full day, to Evans who was now smiling knots.

Lily seemed to have reached out her hand several times, but seemed hesitant in fear that Evans would refuse the girl's hand.

Realizing Lily's behavior, Evans took the initiative to shake Lily's hand first.

Lily cried sobbing.

Simon and Samantha chuckled at the maid who had been with them for a long time.

"You just miss my sister, don't you?" Elena's voice turned Lily's gaze to the girl's figure.

Lily hugged Elena softly. "Of course I miss you too, Miss," he said softly.

Elena laughed a little. With Lily, they went to the girl's room.

...***...

Evans helped Elena lie down and opened her sandals. Not to forget he also arranged a pillow for the girl.

"Let me, Ma," said Evans, as Samantha tried to help the princess shift her body.

Evans swiftly lifted the body of the sister and moved his sitting position until he could lean comfortably on the pillow.

Simon and Samantha smiled softly at the attention Evans had paid to their youngest child, even since being in the hospital.

One side, Samantha feels Evans can now really accept the presence of Elena as her sister. However, for some reason, on the other hand he realized that the attention Evans showed was a little excessive.

"Perhaps, he just wants to try to make up for the time together they lost a dozen years ago." Inner woman it is.

Finished making sure Elena could rest comfortably, the three left Elena, and handed Lily their next assignment.

...***...

Evans himself returned to the room he had left.

As soon as the door of his room opened, the man was stunned for a moment.

After two years of abandonment, the room is still in neat and the same condition. In fact, the frame of the photo that accidentally shifted was not moved from its place at all.

Not only that, his wallet was still on the table, in the same position.

"Mama purposely told Anna, Lily, and the others not to touch your things, as well as let it stay like this. So, they cleaned this room very carefully." Samantha, who saw Evans just staring at the doorway, decided to approach the man. Simon himself rested in his room.

"In this way, Mama just felt like you were too busy going home from work like you used to." Continue the middle-aged woman.

Evans turned his eyes to his mother and apologized.

Samantha smiles. He invited Evans into his room. They sat on the man's bed.

"A few times, Elena slept in this room. He also goes to your apartment and occasionally stays there. Until the last moment, your apartment is still awake because Elena is always taking care of her."

Hearing Samantha's statement, Evans put on a sad face. He thought his relics would disappear once he left the house. However, who would have thought it turned out they were waiting for the return of her who was only an adopted child in this family.

Samantha walks into Evans' wardrobe and opens it. After taking something out of the closet drawer, the woman again sat down next to Evans.

"Here's your apartment key, Elena added a guard using a regular key. He always returns there every time he finishes visiting your apartment." Samantha hands Evans a key.

Evans stared at the key in the mother's hand for a moment. "I don't deserve all this Ma. I'm just an outsider. I'm not part of this family" he said.

Samantha smiled knot. He took the son's hand and placed the key in the palm of his hand.

"You're Mama's firstborn, Elena's sister. Even though you were not born from your womb, you are still your child. Family relationships do not have to be born from the same blood, dear," said Samantha gave understanding.

Evans stared at the keys to the apartment.

"Mama set you free to live your life the way you want, but don't lose the fact that you're part of the Wileen Family."

After saying so, Samantha hugged the man's body and stroked him gently.

A drop of tears rolled down Evans' cheek. The memories of the past filled his memory.

In fact, since childhood Evans never doubted the affection of his parents, especially the mother.

He was always there whenever he had a hard time even if it was just a trivial matter. However, what kind of reply did they get from him, other than disappointment?

Evans took off Samantha's embrace and kissed her soft hand. The man also put his head on his mother's lap.

Evans misses the times when he was a spoiled child. In her heart she made one more promise, that it was not only Elena that she would be happy with, but her parents as well.
