My brother turned out to be my husband

My brother turned out to be my husband
Chapter 56: I Will Not Let You Go.

The longing that was embedded for more than two years was instantaneous, as the face was again clearly visible before his eyes.

The waiting was full of wounds, tears in the embrace of anger, and shackling pain, as if paying off as he was able to look back at the blue net imprinted on that handsome face.

His cry broke out along with the homesickness that hunted.

Regardless of the fact, that the man had rejected her earlier, Elena continued to run to chase after her figure.

The footsteps stopped right in the inn yard.

However, no human was seen there.

Elena doesn't want to give up. He then ran towards the outside of the inn, albeit without wearing footwear.

Accompanied by tears flowing down her cheeks, the girl ran an indeterminate algal ridge. He even passed by a car parked not far from Mrs' inn. Amber.

"I'm sure it's Brother Evans! I'm sure it's Brother Evans!" Like a spell, Elena repeatedly muttered the same sentence with a choking voice.

Elena was certain that the man she had just seen was Evans. Even with the whiskers and beard growing on her face, Elena was still able to recognize the man.

"Sir Evans," Elena muttered. No matter his feet had been dirty and injured, he kept running towards the large road.

Evans, who was hiding in the car, now raised his head.

The man could still clearly see how Elena ran like a barefoot man in search of herself.

Evans gasped when he saw Elena almost falling on the asphalt.

His eyes were completely reluctant to escape from the figure of the girl.

Fear makes Evans unable to meet Elena. The shadow of the end of their lives in the past even reverberated on the man's head.

"I'm sorry" Evans said. He started the engine of his car and stepped on the accelerator, passing Elena as fast as he could.

Elena wiped away her still faithful tears flowing down her face.

Unknowingly, the girl had already walked quite a distance. He could have strayed somewhere if someone did not find himself.

"Miss Elena!" Dennis who had just returned from the warehouse ran over to the girl, after confirming that she was indeed the figure of Elena he knew.

The young man noticed Elena's messy-looking appearance. Not to mention he ran barefoot.

"Where are you going, Miss? Why don't you wear your footwear?" ask Dennis.

Elena did not answer. He just looked back and forth like he was looking for someone.

"That guy! Where's that guy going?" elena asked as she looked at Dennis with a clear face.

"That guy? Which man is Miss? Who are you looking for?" Not understanding the meaning of Elena's words, the young man asked another question.

However, Elena did not answer either. The girl was about to walk out from Dennis' sight, if only he hadn't held Elena's arm.

Seeing Elena's extremely chaotic appearance made Dennis reluctant to leave her there alone.

He persuaded Elena to return to the inn. However, the girl rebelled and said she would find someone first. He even asks Dennis to help himself find a person he doesn't know his identity to.

Dennis refused, of course. Besides not knowing, she was also worried about Elena's condition. Especially feet.

He had a chance to argue with Elena, before the girl finally relented, after he promised to help her tomorrow.

Dennis who noticed Elena's footsteps stumbling immediately volunteered to hold her.

Without waiting for Elena's approval, the man carried the girl behind his back.

Slowly they walked down the road to Mrs' inn. Amber.

Arriving at the inn, Mrs. Amber and her two grandchildren were waiting there worriedly.

As soon as they saw Elena's condition, they told Dennis to take their guests to his room.

With a very careful movement, Dennis lowered Elena who had now fallen asleep.

Running while crying must have been quite tiring for the girl.

"Eva, please get me some cold water and a P3K box for Miss Elena" Mrs said. Amber on one of her grandchildren.

The 16-year-old girl rushed downstairs.

"What happened to Miss Elena, Dennis boy?" ask Mrs. Amber.

"I don't know Grandma, after returning from the warehouse I accidentally found Miss Elena walking alone barefoot, not far from here. It looks like he's looking for someone. Instead, I wanted to ask Grandma this question ", Dennis said at length.

Hearing Dennis's explanation, Mrs. Amber was silent for a moment.

That's if Elena's willing.

...***...

During her two days in the inn, Elena always waited for Evans to come there. Almost every day he also waited for the man in his cafe. However, Evans did not reveal himself at all.

Dennis said Evans was not seen in the barn or at his home. All deliveries are made by its employees only.

The events of that night made Elena unwillingly tell Mrs. Amber, her two grandchildren, and Dennis. Indeed not all, only important things, such as the relationship of the two of them who turned out to be foster brothers.

Hearing Elena's explanation, the four of them were quite surprised. Evans said he was an orphan who lived abroad for a long time, and only returned to his homeland a year before settling in the Blue Ocean City to pioneer his business.

Elena was a little disappointed to hear Mrs explanation. Amber, because Evans didn't offend the Wileen family at all. Even the man changed his name.

Seeing the sadness that emanated on Elena's face, the middle-aged woman stroked her back gently. He deliberately did not say anything, because he did not want to interfere in their family problems.

...***...

After breakfast, Elena decided to return to Evans' house not far from the inn. The simple house of his adoptive brother was still in a similar condition two days ago, which was dark and quiet.

The small courtyard in front of Evans' house looks even dirtier.

Elena sighed resignedly. He turned around to go back to the inn.

PRANGS!

Elena gasped at the sound of broken items from inside Evans' house.

His forehead creased when he heard the sound of another falling object.

In order to get rid of the curiosity, Elena rushed to open the door of Evans' house. Hesitating, the girl knocked on the door of the older brother's house while calling his name. For the past two days Elena never took the initiative to enter her house. He simply waited for Evans outside the fence for a few minutes before then leaving from there without success.

Not hearing any answer from there, Elena tried to open the door.

"If it's locked, I'll ask Dennis for help" the girl muttered.

Out of luck, Evans' door was unlocked.

Elena opened the door wider and went inside. The pungent smell from the alcoholic drink directly hit his nose.

Using a cell phone flashlight, the girl tried to find a light switch to turn the room on. However, he did not find it at all. As a result, inevitably, Elena can only rely on a mobile phone flashlight.

Accompanied by a flashlight, Elena could see the living room condition of Evans' house which was in a mess. There were many bottles of liquor and snacks scattered there.

Elena stepped deeper into the part of the house. The girl intends to open the curtains so that sunlight can enter there.

However, just now that his hand was holding the curtains, someone was already standing right behind Elena. As close as he was, he could even feel the person's breath.

"You are a stubborn girl!" exclaim that guy.

Elena's heart rumbled.

The voice he had just heard was indeed Evans' voice.

Elena was about to turn around, but Evans swiftly restrained his body to remain in that position.

" ... And you, still remain a shitty, cowardly man!"

Hearing Elena's insults, Evans then laughed a little.

"What are you laughing at?" ask Elena.

"You! The foolish girl who was vigorously looking for her brother," Evans replied in a mocking tone.

"You're not my brother. I already know all."

Evans was silent for a moment. "Then, what are you looking for, stupid girl? I'm not your brother. So, get out of here!"

Now, Elena was silent. His hands seemed to be tightly gripping the curtains of Evans' house.

Evans' hand then stretched out toward the place where Elena held the curtain.

As he drew closer to the girl's ear, he whispered cynically. "Go! Get out of front of me, you bullies!"

Hearing that, Elena took a deep breath. "Don't you ever dare kick me out!"

"I have the right to throw you out of rum—" Evans said in a truncated moment, as Elena suddenly ventured to turn to face the man and clenched her lips.

Evans was about to move away, but Elena tightly gripped the man's front shirt with one hand. While the other hand was clad in the neck of the man he so longed for.
