My Last Wedding Chance

My Last Wedding Chance
Chapter 1 My Husband

Harumi walked alone in the rain right in the City of Birth, Harumi Nayaka that is my name that every first time someone else heard it will immediately make sure if I am a woman of Japanese blood.

Right, I'm a 30-year-old who was born from the womb of a Japanese woman with my father who is a Sailor of English descent.

I am at an age that may not be the age of teenagers anymore, walking softly with a grim face bowing my head amid the raindrops that fell heavily on my head and body to wet all parts of me without gaps.

Simple dressed plain white knee-length t-shirts with long tight jeans all wet and very cold get into the free skin of my body that began to shiver.

I slowly walked with an unclear purpose, who only carried a bag of cellphones and money that was not enough for a long trip and a piece of paper that I unceasingly held during my trip across the highway that seemed silent because of heavy rain the city of Bristol, England.

"I want to blame myself for never being able to be a good wife to Anton" my inner self who keeps saying and always rings to my mind how imperfect I am.

I saw the clock on my watch that looks faint due to rain water, time has shown 5 hours past 25 minutes in the afternoon before evening.

Without realizing it had been almost 1 hour I walked without a destination dibuur heavy rain without any protection like an umbrella or jacket that covers me.

"it's appropriate that I accept my lack of it because of my imperfection as a wife" my mind churned along my indistinct journey.

Until finally without me realizing the dimly from a distance the light of a car spotlights approached me quickly getting closer and continued to get closer to me.

Making both my eyes more and more indistinct looking at the direction of the light because of its glare so bright, I tried to shade both my eyes with one hand to make it easier for me to see someone behind the light, but suddenly there was an unfamiliar voice heard behind it.

"Rumiiiiii" the hoarse voice of a man who was very familiar to me.

"Anton, Anton" I replied sobbing in tears looking at the face of the man behind the light. Sure enough, the man behind the light who came down from the car hurriedly ran up to me, he was Anton Riandra My husband, my husband who had accompanied me for 4 years of Our marriage.

He swiftly ran and immediately hugged me, regardless of his body being wet from the rain. Anton didn't realize he wasn't using any rain protection like me.

"Rumiii, come home" he whispered slowly in my ear while still hugging my body which was only 149cm high compared to his much taller, sturdy and very field, large body, I can feel his heartbeat rhythmically very fast and irregular.

Taking off his embrace, Anton immediately pulled my hand swiftly carrying me into the car that was still on with the lights still continuing to highlight towards the road.

In the car, the two of us just kept quiet and didn't say a single word, until the silence broke after Anton started holding my hand while continuing to run the car with one hand still in control, his eyes occasionally looked at me and then refocused on looking at the road ahead of him.

I could only look out at the front of the road with a blank look that I did not understand. The piece of paper that I still held tightly in my hand, started to remind me again of what happened 3 hours ago before this happened.

"what do you want, baby ?" asked Anton who was always breaking my daydream. Anton's gaze is still fixed in front of the road with the control of the car but this time both hands have grasped the steering wheel.

I started to lower my head without saying a word, unable to answer Anton's question. The short question from him made me fall into a deep silence to answer.

Our car still continues to break through the fast splitting rain that is increasingly rushing across the streets of Bristol City which still looks silent and only occasionally I see other cars crossing the road.

"where are we going ?" I asked back without answering Anton's previous questions.

"i'll take you to Hampton" he replied, turning to look at me with his sharp eyes.

"Hampton Hotel ?" reply to me with confusion and questions.

Anton Riandra and I have been wading through marriage for 4 years, we are just the two because until now we have not been blessed with a baby.

We first met in the world of work, I used to be a part-time worker who was placed as a staff personnel in a Company engaged in Architecture while completing my College in New York.

Anton when he worked as Head of Personnel, he had worked for 8 years at the company.

Anton Riandra is an athletic man of Indonesian American descent, handsome face, with a body that field height of 186cm, if noticed Anton's face is more following his mother who is of American descent than Asia, brown-eyed with hair that is always neat when working.

My husband Anton loved his American mother who now lives in London alone after the passing of Anton's father who died due to the accident about 10 years ago in New York.

Anton has his only older sister Ameera who now lives in New York with her husband Robert with her two daughters.

After we decided to get married, as soon as possible I finished my Strata 1 lecture which was very behind in the field of Graphic Design and Resign from my job as a staff at the Company.

Six months into our marriage, our sustenance began to slowly increase, Anton was given a great opportunity as the Head Director of the New Branch of the Company where he worked in the city of Bristol, England.

I'm so happy that luck has allowed me to return to my hometown of Bristol. I started to busy myself opening a small business here, a Flower Shop on the side of the road where I bought from my savings.

My father and mother now live not far from my house with Anton. I have two younger brothers, 24-year-old Takeru and 10-year-old Ben.

"already arrived" Anton explained as he quickly turned off the car engine, removed the safetybelt and immediately opened the car door.

I was surprised that it was true that my husband took me right in front of the Hampton Hotel. I don't know what Anton thought brought me here.

I hesitantly opened the car door, and started to step outside, my pants were still not dry due to the rain, but the evening weather when it looked like the rain was beginning to subside little by little.

"why don't we just go home" I told Anton who was focusing on locking the car alarm.

"Follow, don't you see your body with me wet and I'm already uncomfortable with this wet body condition" anton replied, pulling my hand firmly into the hotel lobby and into the elevator to the 27th floor.

While in the elevator, Anton forcefully pushed me to the wall of the elevator and kissed me passionately, which was then just the two of us in it.

Anton's lips pressed my lips to make it hard to breathe, his tongue began to play in the arena all over my lips, he hugged me tightly, as if I was going to get away from him. But with Reflex I pushed Anton's field body to release his kiss from me releasing his powerful embrace.

"Let go of me" I said as I continued to try to escape.

Ting

Finally the elevator door opened slowly, so Anton started to let go of me and pulled my hand out of the elevator that had reached the 27th Floor.
