Chapter 123 Tears of a Silent Heart

It felt so painful, like the pounding of a wave so big it hit hard.

This doesn't make any sense.

With frustration mounting, Liam sat back down and his gaze this time was completely at the point where he felt such great pain. His mouth formed a gloomy line

"And now you're IN LOVE with him. You Lost Your Mind, Liam. Open your mind !!!" That's right, Zac's tongue is as sharp as a porcupine.

While trying to curb his mounting frustration, Liam poked forward "Well, I know, I will make up for all the wrongs that even I myself do not remember in their entirety, I am willing to accept any punishment. But, I can't lose Harumi"

Zac's hand froze, his forehead frowning "When I was on duty in Bristol, I still vividly remember that night, when you were taken to the Hospital with a severe cut to the back of the head. It was the result of a pretty hard object punch. I was surprised because the patient I was facing that night was my best friend. And that's what makes you have severe amnesia. I warned you because I was worried about you. It's hard to accept reality, but not everything is based on desire."

Liam snorted heartache "and until now I couldn't remember who had done it."

"When you arrived at the Hospital, I only saw one person accompanying you, and I was pretty sure he was one of your personal bodyguards. He even faithfully accompanied you until you realized. Not long after that, both of your parents came. They're so worried"

A flash of anger stung Liam "They know something, but cover it all up with lies."

"You cannot completely blame them, it may be natural for them to protect their Son from the entanglement of the law. Every parent has their own way."

Liam stood up, cursing softly "They should never be parents"

"Don't hate your parents too much, they love you so much. I'm sure your family knows all the truth that happened. But, Liam did you really until now still not remember anything ? What's the last memory you remember of that night's events ?"

Guilt, uncomfortable and unfamiliar, swiped his nerves and Liam stepped towards the window. He had never been so good as "It was raining so hard and the streets were quiet that night, I was driving the car. Then, my eyes blurred, my head was tossed. Until the very violent lacing happened. I still remember the helpless voice pleading for help, he was lying covered in blood in the middle of the road. Then..."

"Then what ?"

Liam did not want to continue, it was difficult for him to discuss the painful past. It won't all be easy.

Liam shook his head softly, then he let out a slick laugh without a sound as the truth struck him "After the hard object hit from behind, I fell down and lay not far from Harumi, I can still see him stiff but I can do nothing to help him.

He tried to scream for help, but because of the heavy rain and the night was so quiet that no one passed by. With all the rest of my consciousness, I tried hard to move around crawling in the middle of that road, approaching it even though blood was flowing steadily in my head. Though only a little more I can reach his hand, until finally the blow back floated harder from behind. And ...."

"And you're finally unconscious"

The pain of guilt had tormented Liam all along. Looking at Harumi's face, hearing all the suffering she was going through, it all rendered Liam helpless "I wanted to save her that night, my heart breaking when I remembered how the accident happened to her because of my mistake."

Liam was so lost in the darkness of his own mind, his face deathly pale. Zac could do nothing to appease his best friend "What if Harumi finds out the truth, are you ready ? even if she loses herself ?"

The man just silently did not respond, but clearly reflected the tension on the shoulders of his field.

"You must be prepared for the worst possible outcome, hmmm. Should have been, you'd have been easier to get away from him. Right ?"

Liam turned around and growled lowly "That's not what I'm worried about !"

Zac frowned in wonder "Wait.you will snatch the woman from her husband. Their marriage was ruined. It's getting nonsensical"

Liam sneered sarcastically at him.

Zac immediately stood up and pointed towards Liam "Keep that stupid mind of yours !! You're INSANE. Don't do that !"

"You don't need to remind me of the right thing, I'm tired of hearing your lecture" in a mocking tone, Liam stared intently at Zac

Zac's eyes were wide open "You've become too obsessed with that woman, you've even forgotten your original purpose. Since a year ago you found out the truth, you've been trying to find the identity of the accident victim until you finally find him. I remember what you said, that you wanted to make amends with him. Even secretly you always help the business that Harumi runs, even if you only see it from a distance. You also launched her husband's career, you helped the welfare of her life. All you're doing well to get her life back to normal"

Zac approached Liam and stood right next to him "You've done so much for them, you've spent most of your time helping out with his life. Without their knowledge. Until finally, three months ago you ventured to meet Harumi directly and began to approach her."

Zac opened his mouth again, then his eyes narrowed. A few seconds passed by "Then, your goal turned completely into an Obsession. And actually now you're in a relationship with him. Even you fell in love with each other. I don't think, what's on your mind Liam ? It's enough that you took away the woman's hopes, made her lose her baby. And now you want to ruin their marriage !! "

Anger ripples within Liam with his acid-coated thorns "You don't know the truth, Anton ISN'T A MAN WORTHY of him ! She always hurts and only makes her suffer even she already has a Child without Harumi's knowledge"

Zac looked at him carefully "What...?"
