Chapter 161 You and Your Story

I understand how the situation I am facing right now is at a crossroads with complex choices with all the consequences.

It's not easy for me, hurting the people I love will be a huge pain in my life. For the sake of my happiness, I will lose my family, my friends, and all who have loved me. Blasphemy for blasphemy, bad image, scorn, it's all I'm going to accept for my whole life as well as my family. They will experience the same, accepting the consequences of my choice.

Will it be worth what I am doing now ? to be happy with him. So also with the man holding my hand tightly now, will he also lose everything for the sake of choosing with me ?

Harumi was silent, she was just stunned to see the shadow of her reflected off the elevator door. The woman stood next to Liam and the man's hand did not detach from her for a second.

Harumi is aware, Liam is trying to strengthen her. Giving her a sense of security and comfort, but a streak of anxiety, guilt still haunts Harumi.

Every now and then Liam turned to look at Harumi with an anxious expression, well of course the man was very worried about Harumi's condition which did not talk much and sometimes with a unstable feeling.

Harumi who noticed Liam was looking at her, started to blush her cheeks "What ?" reply flat

"Don't slur" Harumi said, trying to hide her feelings and holding her left cheek.

Seeing Harumi's behavior, Liam wants to hug her and will not let go of the woman. A smile extended across her face as she realized how adorable Harumi was like a spoiled little girl.

Secretary Will was standing in front of them, at a glance he smiled. Heard the second conversation.

Because this was the first time, he saw his employer so happy with a woman.

Before long the elevator doors opened, Secretary Will let them out first and then followed by him.

As they were about to head out to the door of the building, someone approached Liam.

"How are you, Liam ?" greet a formally dressed man in a grey suit

The man deliberately approached Liam, as if he already knew he was going to meet him.

Liam's move stalled, as did Harumi and Secretary Will.

Liam's expression turned cold, although he had not seen the figure of the man. Just by hearing her voice, Liam was already able to recognize her. "What do you want, Noah ?"

Well, that guy was Noah Wals, Liam's old best friend when they were both in college. Their relationship a few years ago is not good, Liam does not like the bad habits of Noah who often party, play with women night even though he is married, gambling and other bad things.

Liam was not much different from Noah, but he wanted to change because Liam realized Noah would only have a bad influence.

Therefore, Liam tried to stay away from his friends in the past, namely Noah and Simon.

Noah grinned obliquely "Just want to greet you, didn't we used to be best friends. It's only natural that I want to see you"

The two pairs of men's eyes met each other "I have nothing to do with you" Liam turned his face away and immediately chose to leave the man he thought was very cunning.

But, tetiba Noah glanced at Harumi with a suspicious look "She is beautiful, Is this woman who you call Flower Girl ?"

Harumi slowly turned to look at the man, and she saw Noah throw a strange grin at him.

"He's very similar to her, not very similar to Laura" he added in a high tone up to Liam's ears

Liam turned his head quickly at Noah, his face sour. "CLOSE YOUR MOUTH, NOAH !!!"

Furious, Liam releases Harumi's hand and approaches Noah. Liam firmly pulled the collar of the man's suit up to make it lift.

But, Noah's response was so relaxed and he just laughed "Are they not so similar, of course you haven't been able to forget Laura and how her death was ?"

Liam's breathing was hunting, his face was heating up as Noah repeatedly uttered the woman's name.

Laura.

Liam raised both of his eyebrows "This has nothing to do with anything in the past"

"Ooh, really ? Did he know it already ? about your past, about Laura and her death from YOUR STUPIDITY !!" Noah looked back at Harumi who was standing behind Liam

From the beginning, Liam had been holding back his emotions. But Noah kept rolling hot balls at him, which made Liam unable to hold back his anger as a result of the man's words.

Noah seemed to have deliberately provoked Liam's anger.

Liam let go of his grip and quickly punched Noah in the face. That man fell to the floor.

Harumi who saw him was surprised, he looked shocked.

But, not just until there. Liam was still venting his anger, with a fist thrust back into Noah's face repeatedly. Liam pulled Noah's collar, then punched him stronger.

To make the man's face bleed, on his nose and lips.

"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO HURT HER, YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED INSTEAD OF HER !!!" liam said firmly

"Enough, Sir !!" The secretary pulled Liam's hand as he was about to hit Noah again

At first, Liam refused. Until finally "Please, Liam. Stop it" Harumi called out with a trembling voice and the woman's voice resuscitated her.

Liam stopped, he woke up. The fiery emotions made him forget about his surroundings.

Liam stood up, then turned to look at Harumi who showed a sad look. Liam surprised. The man took a deep breath, then walked over to Harumi.

He hugged his woman who looked trembling and frightened. "I'm sorry" said Liam

"K-please ..."

Liam gently rubbed Harumi's shoulder, calming her down. Liam's hand was stained with Noah's blood still attached.

Both of Liam's eyes, which were originally like killers, changed immediately after he looked at Harumi.

Noah, who had been lying stiff on the cold ceramic floor, rubbed his bloody lips and nose, there was no expression of pain on the face of the cunning man.

He laughed at Liam and all the punches he had received "Listen, Liam. I'll avenge all the things you've done to me. To avenge Laura's death, remember well. My revenge won't be long. YOU'LL LOSE EVERYTHING, INCLUDING LOSING YOUR LOVER"

Liam did not respond to any more of Noah's words. He did not want to be affected, for him the most important thing now was to make Harumi feel calm and comfortable by his side.

Liam immediately coded Secretary Will to get it sorted out.

Harumi glimpsed back to Noah, and various questions began to appear in his mind.

Who is Laura ? What is his relationship with Liam ? Death ? What does it mean that Laura's death was a result of Liam's actions ? What does Laura have to do with a man named Noah ? Who is Noah really ?

Harumi tried to brush off that thought, he had enough problems at hand. And now, let alone this.

Harumi shook her head slightly, dispelling the negative thoughts within her brain.

Liam wrapped his hand around Harumi's shoulder and led her towards the car.

The driver took them immediately to leave the building.

Harumi sat in silence next to Liam.

He wants to talk about Laura and Noah and whatever happened in Liam's past. Because all this time, Harumi had never known about the man's past.

Liam never told me about his family, not even his past.

For a moment Harumi glanced, she found Liam sitting with the glare of his eyes pointing to the car window.

Liam also chose silence, Harumi did not dare to ask questions first. Although curiosity was mounting in him.

"Laura Gamble is Noah's half-sister." Liam finally started talking.

Liam closed his eyes, although he did not want to discuss his past.

Hearing the confession, Harumi's forehead wrinkled up "Sister-in-law ?"

Liam opened his eyes again, his feelings mixed with "I just think of Laura, as a sister. But, the truth is Laura has a different feeling, she is just the opposite. And that, makes Noah angry."

He looked at Harumi's pus, Liam's confession made the woman realize that Liam was actually hiding this so as not to want to hurt me or Noah.

"Actually Noah has feelings for Laura, which is why she's so jealous."

"W-how could Noah have feelings for his own sister ?!" harumi's eyes narrowed

"Laura has no blood relation with Noah, Both Noah's parents are desperate to have a daughter, but because there is one thing and another. They decided to adopt a child from the orphanage."

"How about..with his death ?"

Liam grabbed Harumi's hand on her cheek, grasping it gently "Everything you hear from Noah, that's not true at all. Laura's death had nothing to do with me, but Noah always related it. Because he still can't accept that reality."
