Chapter 106 False Confession

Some time walking they did not talk to each other, resulting in an awkward silence in the room.

Harumi's face instantly coldly mixed with raging feelings "When did you get here ?"

Anton did not reply, he just continued to watch his wife with a sharp glare. Since arriving here, Harumi seemed to be carrying a powerful shield and creating a separation distance between the two.

Anton hugs Harumi, with a longing he doesn't want to express in words. The longing feeling he wanted to convey through a more intense approach with Harumi.

That's what he's doing right now.

"Harumi.iam so sorry for not treating you well all this time. Please, I want you back" Anton rubbed his wife's shoulder with the adoration of the longing he had been harboring.

Harumi unceasingly pushed her husband's body "Let go of me" she resolutely refused, but Anton did not give up so easily "Listen to me, Rumi. Please stop acting like this, I promise your mother, I won't let you go again"

Hearing Anton's words, Harumi fell silent at once and stopped acting in a violent manner. Anton's words made his heart beat faster, Harumi looked up.

Harumi's eyebrows shot up "What do you mean ? You went to see my mom ?"

The man looked at her deeply "Well"

"What are you talking to him about ? Tell me !" Harumi's facial complexion grew increasingly tense and there was a sense of worry raging within her chest.

The anxiety was reasonable because Harumi did not want her mother to know about the condition of her current household. She did not want to make her mother suffer with all that she experienced. Anton carefully releases Harumi from his embrace, and gives her some distance between the two.

"It's not something to be debated right now, Rumi" she argued

The irritation stung Harumi's skin as she looked at her husband "I don't want my family to get involved in our problems. I don't want my mother to have to suffer from seeing the condition of her Daughter's Household. I'm enough to bear all the risks. Not my mother."

For a moment Anton wanted to open his lips, his eyes turned to the side. The spotlight was sharp at Cathy's sudden presence which she thought was not right when she accidentally wanted to head to the Living Room to approach them.

Cathy also threw her gaze in another direction, The woman looked awkward because she was at the wrong time "M-sorry ..."

Anton frowned "It looks like Miss Jones came at the right time" Anton smiled sarcastically at Cathy

Cathy did not return Anton's gaze, she just looked at Harumi with her confused-looking attitude "Ok, alright. I'm sorry, I'll let you guys.."

Harumi instantly prevents her best friend from her while Cathy wants to turn around leaving them "Cathy wait..."

"We're the ones who should be out, this is Your Apartment. Sorry to bother you" he continued

Anton felt this was not the right time and place for him to seriously talk to Harumi "I'll be waiting for you outside, you can prepare all your things." The man stepped up wanting to leave them, then his eyes turned to look at the paper bag lying on the floor right beside his wife's feet that Harumi had brought before.

The contents of the paper bag were Harumi's party dress she had brought from the Liam Penthouse.

"What is that ?" tannya

The woman's shoulders lifted at a glance "Nothing"

Anton was not an easy man to lie to with such a cliche answer, his eyebrows crinkled both his eyes narrowing "Where were you from ?"

Harumi was almost at a loss for words to reply to her husband.

Cathy who was aware of Harumi's attitude, immediately cut Anton's speech by half running to take the paper bag "Its Mine, Not hers. I asked Harumi to pick it up at the Boutique I had ordered for a long time" as if she had expected what would happen if she did not take the initiative to act first. Cathy can confirm there will be suspicions among them that will put Harumi's life at risk.

At first glance Anton glanced at Cathy with a cynical and piercing look. The man seemed to give off an unfriendly aura to Cathy, even though he knew Cathy was a good friend of his wife.

Taking a breath, Anton half-believes Cathy's words, but he doesn't want to extend them "Prepare, I'll wait for you below" Anton walks straight to the door and leaves them.

Upon seeing Anton come out and finishing closing the door, Cathy rushes to make sure that Anton actually leaves them. And his existence does not exist. Only then, he could breathe a sigh of relief and freely talk to Harumi.

"Oh my God !" she said Cathy then threw her body on the couch.

Then he turned to look at Harumi who was still standing in his position earlier. Cathy was astonished, seeing Harumi who was still sculpting.

"Rumi ?" call him

Harumi did not respond to anything, her gaze was blank.

"Hey, Rumi ? You ok ?" call him again

Finally Harumi lifted her face, Cathy gasped at Harumi's teary eyes. "Oh my God, Rumi "

Cathy approached him, and tried to calm down her friend.

Harumi's hand shook gripping the edge of her shirt, looking at her attitude like that. Cathy's getting worried. "What's Rumi ?"

Harumi's face was bent "Why I feel empty, why does my body not belong to me anymore."

Cathy looked at him "What's wrong ? Tell me"

"W-what should I do, Cathy ? Should I continue this marriage with lies. He wants me back. But part of me tried to resist it, the other part of me felt guilty. I-i'm.i'm..." The tears finally colored Harumi's face. Flowing on both cheeks.

Cathy feels a wave of torment in Harumi, she knows her best friend is at a crossroads that each has a big risk to her life.

Harumi is aware that she has ruined her life and will destroy many more lives.

"I don't want to make both my parents devastated to hear the truth happen."

"Rumi, do you still leave that feeling to Anton ?"

Harumi realizes the consequences she must face from her immoral behavior. He knew Anton would never forgive him.

A painful betrayal will make not only Anton suffer but also Harumi.

Cathy gripped both edges of Harumi's shoulder and looked at her "Listen to me ! You should forget about that guy. Throwing away those false feelings. And back to Anton. He loves you, he is your husband. You remember that. He is your Husband"
