Chapter 149 Never Wanted to Go Away

It took half an hour, until Cathy was finally able to leave the party after she had to face Mrs. Anita Seymour first.

His superior was furious when the incident that became the center of attention at the party reached his ears and one of his assistants in Galery was involved.

Cathy had to face all the scolding and harsh warnings from her boss for half an hour.

During a serious conversation with Mrs. Anita, Cathy just shut up and nodded. He listened and answered only a few times.

Cathy did not tell in detail about her quarrel with Harumi and Anton, even Cathy closed her mouth about Harumi's identity.

The man immediately turned his face away and left in a hurry without saying anything, not even saying sorry to Cathy.

Cathy was silent in astonishment, her originally irritated face suddenly turned stiff.

His mind seemed to be scanning some memories in his brain. And he still kept staring at the back of the fast-walking man from behind.

"The face of the man is no stranger, I'm sure I've seen it before. But, where is ?" muttered

Cathy threw away the thought for a while and continued on, although her brain still kept thinking about the figure of the man in the neat suit.

It took a few minutes, Cathy had to circle the park as large as it was, and still not until some of her past.

Two men of great stature, and one man with a bloody face gathered on the ground. The two men gripped the person's shoulders firmly to lift his body.

When recognizing the face of the man sitting on the ground, Cathy's eyes widened because it turned out that the man who was bleeding was Anton.

Heedless of her bare feet, and the coldness of Cathy's soles as she set foot on the grass. The woman anxiously ran over to Anton.

"Anton.." call him in a raucous voice.

With a quick gesture Cathy pulled Anton's arm to stand up.

"W-what happened ?! where's Harumi ?!" Cathy cupped Anton's cheeks and raised her frail face and saw blood on her lips and nose.

Anton was silent, his gaze blank. It was like closing his lips.

"Take him off ! Who are you guys ?!!" Pull one of Anton's arms and wrap it around Cathy's shoulder to help her stand up straight. Cathy once threw a cynical look at the two men.

"They were Liam's men." with his mouth still sore, Anton finally spoke up

"What ?!!"

The two men just stood looking at them.

Cathy was annoyed, as the two men were silent. Even if they don't do any fighting. It's like they let Cathy take Anton. At least they didn't stop Cathy from helping Anton.

"Let's get out of here" she asked firmly

Anton and Cathy walk slowly leaving the two Liam's men.

"How did you find me ?" anton asked as he walked in pain aided by Cathy

"You better think about your condition now !"

At first glance Anton looked at Cathy's face from the side and slanted grin "Thanks"

Cathy silently did not respond.

Cathy sits Anton in the park seat after leaving the place where she found Anton.

Anton looked tired, leaned back, and took a deep breath and exhaled.

Cathy took a tissue from a small bag hanging over her shoulder, and pulling Anton's face helped clear the bloodstains on her face.

"What really happened ? Where's Harumi ? and what did Liam's two men do ?"

"Can you ask them one by one ?" anton held back the pain as Cathy rubbed a tissue on her injured lip

"I'm not a patient woman, so answer me!"

After a few seconds of silence, Anton turned his face away from Cathy "Harumi and Liam...They seem to have a relationship."

Cathy stared flatly at Anton, no surprised hue was pictured on her face as she had already known in advance about Harumi and Liam's previous relationship.

The only thing that worries him is that Anton knows it now.

"whenever since when, Rumi could go that far behind me. I really can't believe he dared to betray me." she continued

Anton's raucous voice hinted at the grief and shock that ravaged his life.

Anton turned to Cathy, and he saw the woman just silently without a reaction.

Anton is confused, and it leads him to conclude something "Cathy...have you figured this out yet ?"

Anxiety was evident from her attitude, Cathy stood her back to Anton. He still chooses silence.

"ANSWER ME !"

Cathy turned around and crossed both her hands on "Well...I already know" he insisted

Anton shook his head and still couldn't believe "It's impossible...WHY ???!!!! "

"Are you still not aware as well, Harumi IS NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. HE'S BEEN TORTURED ENOUGH, ANTON!!!" reply Cathy is no less harsh

Anton stood up, and gripped Cathy's shoulder with both of his hands so hard "Say that's not true, Rumi IS MINE. I do everything to make her happy. "

"Make him happy ? In fact you're just making him suffer more. Harumi deserves to be happy, and LIAM gives her that happiness. AWAKE !!! SHE IS NOT LOVED YOU ANYMORE" Cathy's gaze pierced

Cathy tried to defend her best friend because that was the truth.

Cathy finds Anton shaken. The man was silent then released his grip from Cathy's shoulder.

He sat back down weakly, and bowed with both hands supporting his head.

It's the first time Cathy has seen Anton so badly, and so devastated.

All of Harumi's actions are not justified, but Cathy understands it may be time for Harumi to move on to find her happiness even though the path she takes will bear great risks in the future.

Seeing Anton's condition, Cathy's heart was sliced. The Anton he knew was very ambitious, very stubborn. Now the figure seemed to disappear for a moment.

Cathy sees Anton now as a heartbroken man and withholds grief. Tonight, Anton is different.

Cathy followed sitting next to him, looking at him anxiously "We'd better get out of here. Come to my apartment, you can rest while there until your condition stabilizes. You can go back to California."

Anton remained silent.

Cathy felt a silence engulfing the two, at which moment suddenly the woman's mind flashed back about the face of the man who had hit her earlier.

His mind seemed to be searching for memories of the mysterious man's face.

A second later, the little memory began to clear up a little.

And it makes Cathy happy because she is not senile to remember the faces of others.

I saw him on the night of the Harumi accident three years ago
