“What do you mean, Nin?!” snapped Arsene who had run out of patience to hear what happened.
“Arief is an orphan. His uncle's family doesn't care about him, no one makes reports of loss. Maybe he is still in the sports warehouse until now,” Anin replied quivering.
“Astaghfirullahaldziim!”
Arsene immediately put on his helmet, driving his bike back to school. He did not expect it turns out there were two victims of detention carried out by Anin et al. They were all crazy, what made them act so cruelly at their young age? He did not think the crimes committed by these teenagers.
With a running step, he entered back into the school. Arsene asks the security guard to help him find the whereabouts of Arief, a student of class XII IPA 1, whom he does not know. The school atmosphere is empty. Rainer was still holding his basketball under the orangeish gray sky. He looked astonished at his brother who ran towards the back of the mosque with a security guard, so that his feet were interested in following them.
Arsene's breath gasped after finding a small building behind the art warehouse. The building was smaller in size, with a wooden door that was padlocked from the outside. There were no large windows there, but only air vents. Arsene's heart raced, with negative thoughts enveloping his mind. There is always light in the dark, no matter how small it is. If Anin is right that Arief is still in this room, hopefully the man will still be safe after a day more being here.
Rainer approached his brother curiously.
“Rain, call the teacher who is still in school!” said his brother panicked.
“What's up?” tanyanya.
“Call it, send it here! The emergency! Cepetan!” arsene exclaimed with hunting breath.
Rainer ran to the teacher's room, hoping that there would still be a teacher who had not come home that afternoon.
Meanwhile, the security guard used the strength of his feet to break down the wooden door that was not sturdy. It's been twice a kick, but the lock hook hasn't been opened yet. The middle-aged man tried again, now with even greater strength. BRACKET.
That door is open. A man in a school uniform and his bag rolled helplessly over a thin red carpet that looked scuffed. The security guard went straight into the room filled with dust. Similarly, Arsene, then felt his skin, felt whether the student's pulse was still throbbing or not. He felt a pulse in the student's neck. Immediately, Arsene took his cell phone and dialed the emergency number to call an ambulance.
Mr. Security Guard took the boy out of the room that was thick with dust, because the room had long been unused. The middle-aged man placed Arief's unconscious body on top of the mosque's porch tiles. The spiritual students who were still there saw him in disbelief, as one of their friends was a victim of bullying.
“Who knows this student guardian?” arsene asked with bawling breath after a race against time trying to save Arief.
“I!” a tall, thin-bearded student approached.
“Who is your name?”
“Wildan, I'm my friend Arief!”
“Can you please contact his family now? If you can just pick up!” arsene is still trying to calm himself.
“Good, I'll be going to his family's house soon!” wildan.
But before Wildan left, Arsene told him the truth, so that Arief's family understood and cared, if only Anin's words were true. It is very sad if the student suffers it is ignored by his own family.
Rainer found her brother sweating with a disheveled face and messy hair, as he brought along a male teacher from the counseling department. The uniform is no longer neat, because Arsene has opened his hoodie sweater. Some students swarmed Arsene and Mr. Satpam who were waiting for the arrival of an ambulance. Suddenly the sirens sounded.
The teacher was surprised to see the crowd of students in front of the mosque, as well as the sound of ambulance sirens getting closer.
“What is this?” ask the teacher named Imam, looking at the crowd of students.
“Sorry sir, I will explain later! Can you come to the hospital too?” arsene Pinta.
Some medics came and carried a red stretcher. They lifted Arief's body and carried it to the ambulance car to check his condition and given the first handling.
Arsene rushed to get his bike. He and Rainer followed the ambulance to the hospital to find out Arief's condition. Meanwhile, Mr. Imam was in an ambulance to accompany one of his students. Arief was taken to an emergency installation. The student was given respiratory assistance during the trip to the hospital.
Imam and Arsene sat in the waiting room.
“What happened exactly?” ask the Imam.
“Arief became another victim of bullying, Sir!” answer Arsene.
“After Zaara?”
“Iya, Sir! I have got the culprit, and one of the perpetrators of this bullying tells me that it turns out the victim is not only Zaara.”
“Astaghfirullahaladzim!”
Arsene pulled out his phone, then listened to the contents of his conversation with Anin earlier. The Imam did not believe that the students in his school committed all these crimes. He promised to immediately process and follow up on this non-joking case.
“Can you confirm that our principal is cracking down on the perpetrators? I think this crime is mandatory to be reported to the police,” said Arsene.
“You're right, this case has gone too far. We must report it to the authorities,” said Mr. Imam.
“Even if it tarnishes the good name of the school?” ask Arsene.
“Yes, justice must be served wherever it is!”
“I leave it to you, I hope our school really pays attention to its students. I am willing to be a witness.”
The sky was already dark because the sun had vanished at the western end. Adzan Maghrib was already reverberating sounding incense carried by the wind.
Arsene parted from there, feeling that his body was too tired to sit. Arief's family has come and it looks they are quite worried thinking about Arief's condition that has not been realized. Arsene left everything to Mr. Imam so that the school immediately reported all these incidents to the authorities. He himself has already bagged evidence of a conversation between himself and Anin, which may be able to corroborate the evidence of the perpetrators, although Astria, Samsul, and Bobby, are still in the targeting stage.
Arsene decided to go home and rest. Since night he could not rest properly due to thinking about Zaara, his body felt limp even more inwardly. He asked Rainer to piggyback on him because he felt he was unable to bring his bike again.
But not yet riding a motorbike, his body has collapsed on the paving block of the hospital parking lot. The teenager fainted unconscious.
