My student's my future husband?

My student's my future husband?
(S2) Ep 32. Arsene Plan

Arsene looked at his new campus which had crossed his head several times. This class is not his main dream. Her dream is across the continent, attending the best cooking academy in the world. However, he had to postpone his dream, this month he should have registered himself at the Le Cordon Bleu branch of Sydney. However, the dry season in the country kangaroo has caused a devastating fire disaster that evenly distributed, even almost one third of the Australian mainland. Many institutions have put their academic calendars on hold, including the world's best cooking academy. Actually there are still many academies in other branches of the country, for some reason Arsene chose to postpone it first.

Fortunately, Arsene anticipated. He took the public university entrance exam test with English Literature as his top choice. He will try another test at Le Cordon Bleu after his first year of college here is over. Although his dream had to be delayed, he hoped that a lot of knowledge would be obtained in this department.

Arsene sighed, looking forward trying to see his future here. I don't know what will happen in the next year. It's just that there are many things that he will do, it's been recorded well in his own head. What is clear and one that is certain, he must change for the better at this campus before his later departure to Sydney.

New students seem crowded filled with white tents that contain various organizational activities on this campus. Everything looks interesting if noticed one-on-one, just return it to each other's interests. Arsene walked with his new friends, while exploring and paying attention to the extra campus activities that open new member registration. There is no cooking activity there, even though he has been around the campus stadium.

The young man sat in one of the empty seats. He allowed his friends to walk first, as he watched the tents. Suddenly a college student in a cocoa shirt and in a black trouser with his eyes on his feet approached him. He smiled friendly while carrying a brochure.

“Assalamu’alaikum?” sapanya friendly.

“Wa’alaikumsalam.”

“Sorry may I explain our organization activity brochure?” the young man's permission politely.

“Please,” replied Arsene kindly.

“Include, I am Dadan from Faculty of Fisheries 3rd semester now. I also happen to be active in the LDK organization. Do you know the abbreviation LDK?”

Arsene seemed to pay attention to his polite style of speaking. Moreover, he uses the word aki, a call that is foreign to him.

“Copper Dakwah Campus?” the answer.

“Iya is right. I am from LDK DKM Asy-Syifa, a campus da'wah institution that is directly shaded by the rectorate. We happen to be opening recruitment for a new member of the LDK special brotherhood. The events and activities that we often hold are tahsin, tahfidz, tadarus Quran, Arabic, social service, inter-agency discussions, street opinion & publications, Islamic mentoring, natural tadabur, etc, as well as aqidah-based cadre, there are also many other tentative events. For the structure of the LDK itself, it consists of several departments. There are coaching department, propaganda department, administrative department, interagency department, and worship services.” The young man gave his brochure to Arsene who was still trying to digest the organization.

Arsene has never been active in a spiritual institution. At his former school in Singapore, he attended a secular education environment, so he only studied religion more seriously at his home with ustadz which was specifically presented by his father. At his High School in Bandung, he felt his time was short enough, so he decided not to be active in any extracurriculars.

“How to register?” arsene asked, as if he was interested. Moreover, there are many activities held by the LDK. He is committed to getting better, including in his religious matters.

“Come to our stand!” bring Dadan.

The vibrant strains of nasyid songs are mixed with the melodies of other organization's stand speakers. Dadan brought Arsene into the tent DKM Asy-Syifa LDK which was immediately warmly welcomed by other LDK activists. Arsene took a quick look at the photos posted there. It seems quite fun too, let alone mentioned Dadan there is a natural tadabur event that might be able to take him wandering while glorifying God's creation.

“What's the name?” ask the other activist in glasses.

“Arsene, Kang!” said polite.

“Include me, Ilman, student of English Literature semester 5. You want to join us?” tanyanya.

“Yes, Kang!”

“Please fill this form first yes?” said Ilman kindly, while thrusting his laptop that has been listed pages containing columns that must be filled by new members.

Arsene nodded. His fingers began to dance beautifully, jumping from one button to another to fill in the self-data as well as instructions listed there. It didn't take long, the young man had finished filling out the form.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks Akhi!”

“Sama-sama.”

“For the future, we will contact via whatsapp. Ahlan wa sahlan on campus fight! This there is a little memento from us for you, hopefully useful!” said Ilman while giving a mini book entitled dzikir morning and evening, as well as a keychain with the logo design LDK DKM Asy-Syifa.

“Jazakallah khair, I'll excuse you first then,” said Arsene bowed politely, then out of the tent was ushered by Dadan.

Arsene looked at the brochure once again. He hopes to find his light there. When he was growing up, he could not waste much time. Looks like he'll just go home after this.

“Kok already home? Thought to go home in the afternoon,” said Ajeng saw the arrival of his eldest son.

“I'm dizzy Mom! See a lot of organizations that are there.” Arsene sat next to her mother and opened her shoes.

“Kok dizzy? What organization did you join?” tanya Ajeng was curious.

Arsene took something in his backpack, then handed Ajeng the brochure of the DKM Asy-Syifa LDK.

“You follow this?!” tanya Ajeng was quite surprised.

“Iya, I went with that first. Other organizations, I'm not interested yet! Maybe this is enough for the next year,” he explained.

“Ya is up to you. But Mommy is happy if you are active in the campus da'wah institution. As if you are different from Mommy or Daddy when you were in college.”

Arsene smiled broadly.

“You don't have any ulterior intent, do you?” tanya Ajeng held back his laughter.

“What does Mommy mean?” tanyanya.

“Udah free!”

“Ish! My goal is to go there so I can be better. I want to be a good child so I can help mommy and daddy in the afterlife later,” he replied firmly.

“Alhamdulillah o Allah, my son is sholeh once ..” praise Ajeng beaming.

“I go to the room first yes, Mom!”

Ajeng.

Arsene threw his body on the bed. His body felt very tired after walking around under the hot sun.  Arsene took and opened his personal record, where he had recorded and compiled all life goals and vision of his life's mission ahead.

The man is indeed a visionary, he easily thinks about what targets he should work on and what targets he should achieve in the next year. The target he had written down was not just written down, but he instilled in his deepest soul, thus encouraging him to get stronger.

Next week is the schedule for the launch of its patisserie store, although next week also the lectures will begin. Opa Gunawan has given him the gift of a small shophouse building located in the city center where local tourists often visit and buy souvenirs, lucky that the building is not far from the campus. So Arsene can still catch up to do his new job later. The man had also arranged a schedule between college and his work, so it would not interspersed. That is also the main reason why he chose English Literature as a substitute for his time, the number of semester credit units is fairly non-dense, as well as his schedule in this one semester that is free, so is his schedule, so that he can still do his new job.

Arsene is unlike Ferdian, who prefers to be a commissioner or advisor for his business. Arsene will jump directly into his own shop. Even he himself will make cakes that will be displayed in his storefront, before he gets a replacement chef. Therefore, he must be serious and focused for the sake of his ideals and future.

One thing is troubling him. He saw a book lying on his bed. He read the book repeatedly. The book also led him to make a decision to join the LDK. Lucky for him earlier, because there were activists who picked him up directly. Maybe God has called his heart.

One thing that has been still disturbing the recesses of his heart even though he has written it in his personal notebook, became one of the targets he will achieve in the next year. Should he make that happen?

Arsene breathed.
