A few hours passed. Zaara felt tired from helping the waitress to restore the pastries in the storefront. He rested for a while on his couch sipping strawberry milkshakes he asked the officer in charge of making orders for drinks. Looking at his drinking wife, Arsene sat down next to him.
“Udah don't be too tired. You can sit here.”
“Nothing really. I just pegel a little.”
“Lagian why are you suddenly here? He said he wanted to edit the script?!”
“Iya don't know, your thoughts just be here!”
Arsene rubbed his wife's head. The smell of vanilla comes from the kitchen.
“Enak really smell, again make what?” ask Zaara.
“Creme brulee. Want?” haggard Arsene.
“Bby?” Zaara's eyes sparkled.
“Bby. Let me get it first!”
Before long Arsene came out and brought a ramekin containing creme brulee that was specially eaten on the spot. The fragrant brown sugar and vanilla linger softly, making the tongue desire to taste it. Arsene gave it to his wife complete with his spoon.
“Bismillah..”
Zaara stuffed the dessert menu into her mouth. The sweetness and tenderness are directly smeared on the tongue. Addicted to it, again and again.
“Nak bangeeet!” zaara said with her sparkling eyes.
“Let's make it in the apartment huh?”
Zaara nodded. Seeing that, Arsene smiled. Zaara seems to be fine.
“I go back to the kitchen first. You rest here, honey!”
“Iya!”
But the woman did not obey her husband. Zaara walked out to get some fresh air. Although the room in the store spread a lot of fragrant and soft aroma, but too crowded for him.
Zaara stood in the shade of a lush tree standing beside her husband's shop yard. Feeling the gentle breeze and fresh air, Zaara closed her eyes. A black sedan car was suddenly parked right in front of him. The woman's eyes opened along with the car owner's exit.
Zaara and the owner of the car were both stunned, with eyes locked. Zaara with a piercing glare, while the woman opposite her stared doubtfully.
Zaara ventured, stepping forward to the bright brown haired woman who was now wearing a black shirt with a wide collar, revealing her collarbone. The woman who was shorter than Zaara was downing her own saliva.
Zaara smiled, a little haughty. He did not want to be sweet-faced in front of the woman who had just sent him a message and a photo.
“Hai, can I help you?” asked Zaara with a haughty look.
Liza rolled her eyes to the right and to the left, looking nervous and scared.
“You looking for Arsene?!” guess Zaara's getting closer.
Liza stepped back.
“What do you want to find clearance goods?” ask Zaara again, chuckling.
Zaara stepped closer to Liza, until she stopped right in front of the nose of the woman's car. While Liza was still standing beside the door of her steering wheel.
“Sorry!” sergeant Zaara is down.
“Maybe Arsene once played with your feelings. I was like that too, as if toying with people's feelings but never meant it that way. But that's the past, which is different in the present. Everyone has their own faults, it's natural. What is unnatural is when we are still drowning in the same mistake and do not want to get out of there. Though many doors of forgiveness and hope await us in the future. It goes back again to our choice, do you still want to get stuck with dirty mud or get out and fix everything, in the hope that we can clean ourselves?
“I know what happened to Mbak Liza and Arsene in High School. I have also accepted my husband's past. On behalf of Arsene I'm sorry. We are both women, I also do not want to be in your position at that time, because the feeling is not to be played with. I hope Liza can find someone better than Arsene. Who can accept you and all your feelings. If you keep forcing your will, Arsene will be able to hurt you more deeply. I don't want that to happen.”
Liza was unmoved, listening to all the words of the veiled woman in front of her. His heart felt trembling and filled, as if it was justifying what the wife of the man he had liked all along. He was still bowed looking at the ground and the swaying grass.
Zaara seemed to remain calm. Staring steadily at Liza who did not respond at all to his statement. He hoped that the heart of the woman in front of him was melted with his words, so as to awaken his mistaken mind to get Arsene.
Liza bit her lower lip.
“Sorry.. All this time I kept the wrong feeling. I should have rejected Arsene's request to be her lying boyfriend from the start. But my heart blinded me. Although we are often together, in fact Arsene's heart was never there for me.”
Zaara sighed. It's really pretty scary.
Liza was now staring at Zaara's shady face. The afternoon breeze made the hot atmosphere cool for a while. Liza smiled a little. Realizing the reality of the moment, it forced his heart to let go of all his feelings for Arsene, and let him go to never come back again. Difficult but it must be forced. He will not suffer with this feeling again.
“You're really lucky to have got all her heart. Arsene is indeed a rare human being, and he is not a clearance item!” liza chuckled.
Zaara smiled.
Liza's eyes welled up, representing her feelings. Several water spheres fell, a symbol of him who is now willing to release feelings for Arsene.
“May you get the best mate, Liza!” said Zaara.
“Thank you for resuscitating me. Sorry for everything. I'm sorry!” said Liza bowed down and went back into her car.
The sedan drove back to the highway. Zaara just looked at him. His heart was relieved, much more relieved. Hopefully Liza is completely conscious and will not return. Her duty as a shield for her husband was carried out. The wind blew the tip of his hijab, making Zaara hold it back from being exposed.
Arsene just came out of the store. Seeing his wife alone under a tree, he wondered.
“Why are you here?”
“I have become a shield and armor Brother as promised me!”
Arsene's eyes widened in surprise. The man's eyes shimmered scanning all over what he could see. But he found nothing there.
“Liza here again?!” ask Arsene.
“Again?!” zaara looked at her husband.
Realizing that, Arsene became misbehaved. He told nothing to his wife. Arsene bowed for a moment.
“He was here a few days ago,” Arsene said in the end.
Zaara just squinted her eyes. His head suddenly felt dizzy.
“I want to go home!” zaara touched his forehead.
“Honey dreaded first!” Arsene tried to explain, but Zaara asked him to stop.
“Can anterin me home?” pinta Zaara's.
Arsene surrender. He nodded. Arsene immediately hugged his wife and took her home. He was eager to hear the story of Zaara for what happened. But it seems he has spoken wrongly and made his wife misunderstand.
Arsene will wait until Zaara asks him to explain the arrival of Liza a few days ago.
Zaara laid her body on the mattress after she washed her hands and feet, and removed her robe and veil. His head suddenly throbbed violently, making him no longer strong to listen to Arsene's explanation. He just believes there is nothing to worry about anymore. Her and Liza's affairs were already considered to be finished, at least so. Finally Zaara fell asleep.
Arsene chose not to return to the store. His wife's face looked pale. The handsome man just gently stroked his wife's hair and dyed it. He was still wondering about what had happened just now.
Zaara's cell phone vibrated on the nightstand. A message went to his Instagram account. Arsene was lured to open it.
His heart was aghast instead of playing, knowing Liza was sending Zaara a new message.
Sorry for my message. May God forgive me.
May happiness always come to you and Arsene. I'll be back in Singapore tomorrow and probably won't be back in Indonesia in a long time.
I was going to say goodbye to Arsene but as soon as I saw you, I immediately abandoned my intentions.
Sorry and thank you, Zaara.
Getting such a message from Zaara, Arsene smiled with relief. He immediately showered his wife with a kiss on the face. Zaara really did her job well.
