Chapter 23. Self Sacrificing

"Good morning!" greet Eiger when he sees Zoe has come out of his room.

Last night, after dinner together, Zoe decided to get out of that room. She felt uncomfortable living alone with a stranger. However, Eiger provides a solution that Zoe can sleep in her room, while Eiger will sleep in the living room.

"Goodmorning. I'm sorry, I made you sleep on the couch like this."

"No problem. What's your plan today?" ask Eiger.

"home." Zoe chose to sit in a place that was a good distance from the Eiger.

"Breakfast first. I'll make it."

Eiger got off the couch where she slept last night, but Zoe held her back.

"No need to bother. I went straight home. Morning bus to my place must have been a lot."

His appearance is neat. Zoe looks like she's been cleaning up, but she was still wearing her clothes last night.

"Yes, okay. You can go home by yourself, right?"

Gosh darn. Actually Zoe also did not expect the man to drive her, but seeing the indifference shown made Zoe upset as well.

"Eiger, at least treat your guests well!" scold Zoe.

Eiger got up from his seat. "Wait here! I'll change my clothes."

Eiger intends to take Zoe to the nearest stop. If they waited near the park, it would not help him at all.

Zoe misunderstood again. That man treated her very well. Before actually leaving the boarding house, don't forget Eiger locked the door.

"We'll just take a taxi. That'll be faster" Eiger suggested.

Zoe felt bad. It's been a hassle, now delivered by taxi. The money will not be enough to pay for a taxi to a stop that is estimated to be a good distance away.

"Crazy idea! The girl thought the boarding was heading to a bus stop nearby. You idiot!" eiger said in his heart.

Eiger is impatient. He pulled the girl's hand to immediately head to where the usual taxi passed by. Don't ask, he had to do it manually because his cell phone or everything he owned was now abandoned at Willard's mansion.

The sound of the car horn stopped his steps. Eiger saw Blerim's car stop right behind him. The man came down when he saw Eiger's hand clasping the girl tightly.

"Eiger! I've been looking for you everywhere. Apparently you're here" Blerim said.

"It's still morning. Shouldn't Uncle go to the office?" ask Eiger.

When Blerim gave the code that his nephew's hand was still tied to the hand of the girl next to him, making Eiger realize and then release it.

"Sorry" said Eiger.

"Where are you going?" ask Blerim.

"I want to go home, sir," replied Zoe.

"Come home?"

"So this way, Uncle. He is Zoe, my friend. Last night he got lost here and couldn't go home. I helped. And this morning he had to go to the bus stop to get home" Eiger said.

"Then, follow Uncle! I'll take you all the way there, "persuade Blerim.

There was another purpose to meet his nephew. In addition to asking Eiger to return to the mansion, he will also ask Eiger to return to the company.

"Sorry, Sir. You seem to be in a hurry. I'd better go alone. Eiger, go!" reject Zoe.

Zoe got off then sat at the stop. The car that Blerim was driving then sped up quickly leaving Zoe alone.

"Where have you been? I'm looking for you" said Blerim.

"Go. Hasn't Lord Balthis kicked me out?"

"Today pack up! I'll take you home" said Blerim convinced.

"I don't want to!" reject Eiger.

"Don't be a kid, Eiger! Balthis was angry and kicked you out, but he didn't realize he needed you. Did he not think that others knew you were outside the mansion? It's gonna be a big deal."

Eiger doesn't really care, but Blerim's kindness in his eyes makes him crumble. Somewhat strange indeed, he was vacillating like this moment.

"Where are we going?" eiger asked when he realized that Blerim's goal wasn't to go to the office.

"To somewhere. I want to talk 4 eyes to you."

"Can't we just talk in the car?"

Ah, this nephew of his was talking too much when he came out of the mansion. Where is Louis Willard's Eiger right now?

"Don't try to imitate something that isn't your style! I don't like your change."

"Yes, you have to prove to everyone that you're getting married soon. Elov will not be found. How long will the Willards wait for that never-ending certainty?"
