Chapter 60. Intending to Get Married

The atmosphere of the mansion returned to its original state. Balthis and Jean are back. Eiger has sent Zoe back to her hometown. There is a problem that is still strange, namely David's wedding plan that adds pros and cons.

"It shouldn't be you getting married, David! Brother doesn't agree that you married that girl." Balthis' anger could no longer be controlled.

"Sister, you think I can control love. No, right?" refute David.

Eiger still approaches Zoe. The girl was still hesitant with her feelings. Moreover, the Eiger family is very well-regarded. Zoe felt far from the Eiger's reach.

"My decision remains that the one to get married is Eiger. Don't argue anymore!" balthis.

The middle-aged man felt that the marriage to be held by David would have a bad impact on his family. However, Eiger's marriage to the girl of his choice would be an early problem for the Eiger. They would find it hard to accept a person like Zoe who was born from an ordinary class, not a noble.

The reason is right according to David, but Balthis who remains on his decision, is willing to give up just like that?

"OKAY. Instead of Uncle continuing to protest to me, we better negotiate with papa about plus minus the marriage that Uncle will live. How's it?"

"No idea" he answered briefly.

"Okay, since everyone has gathered, then I'll start this conversation" Balthis said at a small family meeting. "Eiger, do you still want to find your parents?"

It's an opportunity or just a Balthis talk to seduce the Eiger. He could not trust fully in Balthis' sometimes inconsistent speech.

"Everybody would want to know its origin, Pa. However, I'm not sure if you're saying that. Without you even asking, I've been intent on looking for him" explained Eiger.

"Then you just look for it. Just like me and my wife. We're getting bad news about Elov" Balthis said.

David, Eiger, and Blerim watch the man closely. Jean, who was sitting quietly, suddenly started crying when her husband talked about Elov.

"Sister, are you okay?" ask David.

"Yes, David. I'm kind. It's just that when my husband talked about Elov, I couldn't bear to not cry" Jean replied.

"What news do you bring?" search Blerim.

Balthis could not hide this secret for too long. He began to tell what happened while in his destination country yesterday. He was unable to bring Elov home, but the man's tomb was found.

"So, Elov's gone?" ask Blerim.

Balthis. Blerim said yes because from the beginning the man was sure that his nephew would never return. Several times to do the investigation, signs of the man's life is very difficult to find.

"Ma, Pa, Eiger are very sorry" said Eiger.

"Yes, thank you," replied Balthis.

Blerim and David are in their minds. Not much to tell them. However, Eiger feels that he will remain Willard's family because Elov is gone.

"If it's like this, I should be able to get married. The descendants of Brother Balthis no longer exist. The only way is for me to get married and then have children" David said.

"David, what are you thinking?" ask Jean.

"Because you have certainly no children, then never refuse me who intends to marry. I'm going to pass on Willard's descendants. Agree or not, I don't care" David said.
