Chapter 44. Mysterious Room

When David and Blerim go to the office together, Blerim accidentally asks David for a ride. Initially David refused because he felt uncomfortable if at any time his brother, Balthis contacted him.

"Sister, why don't you use your own car?" David feels his privacy is compromised when he is with Blerim.

"Once in a while I want to enjoy being with my sister who is the same single as me," Blerim replied calmly.

Normally David wouldn't be upset if Blerim said single. But this time David was very sensitive.

"It's just you, brother. I'll be married soon. I think the title of the single will only hold you alone!"

David put on his seatbelt before he started his car engine. Blerim was sitting comfortably in the passenger seat. It was like having a private driver.

"This is the first and last time you come to the office with me! If you can't get in your own car, at least use a private driver!" scold David.

"Tumben today you're so sensitive? Does this have anything to do with last night? I mean, the incident related to the sudden assault."

David quiet. If you respond to his brother's words, it could be a boomerang in the future.

"I don't know!"

Blerim smiled wryly. "Ck, you're this! If that's what you did, what's wrong with confessing? I'm not gonna put you in jail either."

Again, it's free to argue with Blerim. That guy must have wanted to corner her again because of last night. But it hasn't stopped there. While focusing on driving, David's phone rang. There's a call from her brother, Balthis.

"Oh, my goodness. Brother! Why call at the wrong time like now?" david said in his heart.

David refused to raise the call in front of his other brother. Blerim always watches over him. Until the third call, David did not respond.

"Better you lift up! Balthis was angry" Blerim said, then got out of the car when he got to the office.

David could breathe a sigh of relief because Blerim was down. It was only at the fourth call that David picked it up.

"Hello, what's wrong? I'm going with Blerim" said David.

"Oh, it's appropriate that you don't pick up your sister's phone" Jean said.

"Oh, brother Jean. What's up?"

"Prepare flight tickets for the day after tomorrow. We'll be home soon," he explained.

"Have you got any clarity on Elov?" David's curiosity is so high that he can execute the Eiger quickly.

"Later, I'll tell you when we meet. Remember, flight tickets for the day after tomorrow. The clock's up."

Actually Balthis could have booked a flight ticket from his current place, but there is something that causes can not take care of things that easily.

"Yes, all right, brother."

"Yes already. Brother hang up the phone. Brother wants to go with Brother Balthis."

David put his phone on the dashboard. He leaned his body against the back of the car seat. It feels so tired. There was one thing that troubled him, a word marriage.

David felt himself empty. His business is only about his job, his brother, and himself. While seeing Eiger with Zoe, David felt that Eiger's life was very colorful. That's why the more Eiger sees happiness, David's hatred increases.

He is no longer young. More precisely just a few more years then David will get into 5 heads. Which woman would marry a man who was almost half a century old? Unless Balthis had a female candidate introduced to him.

Focusing his mind, suddenly the windshield was knocked by someone. He is an office worker at his company.

"What's wrong?" david asked after opening the windshield.

Just because of thinking about the future, David forgot about the important meeting that he is today. Eiger should be there, not him.

"Yes, go! I'll be right up to it."

David took his phone, put it in his pocket, then walked towards the meeting room.

Blerim sat in the meeting room looking at the arrival of David who seemed to have no strength to face the reality of life.

"Tumben's late!" sindir Blerim's.

"There's business for a minute" replied David.

Blerim started the meeting today. David and some of the staff started to listen. Actually they question the existence of the Eiger who until this moment did not come. Blerim just said that Eiger was sick. He needs a break for a few days.

Some staff understand him because the Eiger job is a lot and very busy.

Being in the mansion alone with the girl he did not know for long, Eiger freely poured out all of his heart and head. Sometimes Eiger feels like letting go of his family at the moment. However, there are considerations to return the favor of his family.

"I think your decision is right, Eiger. And, I feel like my decision is also right."

"What do you mean?"

"I want to go home. I miss the house and the calm of the lake. You must know that I can't live looking at the vast water?"

Zoe's days have always been there. Eiger can't hold him back for too long because his relationship with Zoe is limited to public lies.

"When are you going home?"

"Later night. I have to clean up some of my stuff at the hotel. Too many branded dresses, shoes, and bags. I feel a little weird keeping some of that stuff. You know I'm—"

"You deserve it, Zoe." Eiger accidentally cut off the girl's speech.

"That's too much."

Zoe and Eiger who are still both standing make their position very close. Spontaneous one of Eiger's unharmed hands pulled Zoe's hand gently.

"You're the best" said Eiger.

Zoe who felt treated like that suddenly felt strange. It was the first time Zoe's hand had been held by a man.

"Eiger, release!" lirih.

Zoe did not want the people in the mansion to feel suspicious because of something they did not understand, namely the fake relationship between Eiger and Zoe.

"Hemm, are you sure you'll be back that soon? Then, when will you come here again?"

Strange question according to Zoe. He had not even left before the Eiger, but was asked when to return? Waw!

"I don't know. Wait till I get home. Once I get there, I'll let you know when I'll be back."

Eiger will feel lonely. Although not too close, Eiger feels comfortable near Zoe.

"Ehm, what is this place? I mean, why are we stopping here doing nothing?"

Yes, the two stopped in front of a room that he thought was very mysterious. Eiger was also curious about the contents of the room. However, remembering Balthis' message not to break the rules made Eiger's guts shrink.

"Not right now, but someday I will manage to open this room in my own way!" eiger said in his heart.
