Chapter 58. Keeping Secrets

Being at the dinner table alone with the Eiger became a big question for the middle-aged man.

"Where is David?" ask Blerim.

Dinner time came, but the Willard family personnel were not yet complete.

"Hotel."

"Hotel?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"What business is it?" ask Blerim curious.

"Not knowing."

Dinner time is almost over. Not long after, the person he was waiting for suddenly appeared. The aura is very different. Brighter than usual.

"Where have you been, David?" ask Blerim.

"What do you care, brother?" ask David back.

"I just don't want you to make a mistake" Blerim replied.

"Bianca was not a mistake. He is my future" he said confidently.

"Wow, this is cool, Eiger! Look Unclemu! He was very happy when he mentioned the girl's name. Does that mean Brother Balthis has to prepare an emergency engagement party?" ask Blerim.

"It's not like that, Uncle! I wonder, what was Uncle David's motive for accepting the girl?" search Eiger.

"Motive? What's your motive, huh? I originally intended to interrogate the girl, but when I found out why. I can't let him go to jail. I will defend her and make her my wife."

This is surprising to both Blerim and Eiger. They did not expect that David's goal changed 180 degrees.

"I won't let go of Bianca, Uncle." Eiger. The only way David could confess was that speech.

Still mystery. The sudden departure of Balthis and Jean raises a million questions.

The middle-aged man grabbed Jean into his arms. She brushed her hair soft even though she was no longer young. Jean was very good at taking care of herself, especially when she was in Willard's mansion and became the only single mistress in the mansion.

"What are you going to do after this? Think Elov's really gone, or what?" ask Balthis.

"I don't know, Balthis. I'm so lost once. When you look at our son's grave, you know that I can't hold him anymore. If I miss, maybe I'll hug the Eiger instead. He's the red baby we've adopted for the rest of Elov's babies."

To be honest, Jean's words were no longer directed. The bad past becomes the story of the dark and sorrowful present. Suppose that accident never happened. Suppose that ridiculous deal never existed. They will now live happily with their families.

"Do you intend to move Elov's tomb to our country?" The final question Balthis asked.

Jean let go of her husband's embrace. He didn't want to be sad all day. He has to manage his emotional attitude very well. She can't be a bad woman.

"No, Balthis. Let him calm down here. I just want you to investigate Elov's death. I mean, what exactly underlies Elov to sacrifice himself for others? Obviously that's why, isn't it?"

Balthis's mind was apparently not what Jean thought it was. If Balthis thought this was the end of his search, he was wrong. Jean gave an even more complicated task.

"I want that man punished. He hurt my son to make him go away. Elov does not know who his parents are, but that person must have had a reason to sacrifice Elov for his personal interests. I condemn their treatment of my son!" obviously Jean.

"Other guy? You're a lady of honor in the Willard family. Don't squint your name just a mistake in the past. Remember that!" balthis.

Jean is actually happy living with Balthis. However, the man kept many secrets that until now still could not be revealed. Moreover, his choice on the same Eiger became the secret of his life.
