Chapter 68. Wanna Know

This wedding reception is a race of heartache. Biana's disappointment with the Eiger didn't go unnoticed by everyone. Including Blerim who had been observing his brother-in-law.

Blerim can't stand it. He'll come to her soon. Seeing that Biana was far away from her papa, Blerim dared to approach.

"You're sorry" said Blerim.

"Uncle?"

"You're sorry you left the Eiger, aren't you? Don't think he's a surrogate or a foster child. Jean treated him very well, however."

It shouldn't be like this. Biana should have listened to Eiger without leaving the man. Now, only regrets are gained.

"Uncle should stay away from me!" Biana drove away the man who had been so close to the Eiger.

"You kicked me out? Alright. I'm gonna go. There's no point in me being here anyway, is there?"

Blerim's right. He'll just hurt her. Blerim approached the Eiger. He wants to convey something.

"Eiger, Biana still loves you" whispered Blerim.

"Leave it, Uncle. That's decision. Oh yeah, are those words of Mom true? Um, I mean gonna make me your replacement?" ask Eiger.

Blerim does not know for sure the plan, but after marrying Blerim will complete his promise to Eiger. He will find his parents so that Eiger feels comfortable living in the mansion.

Biana suddenly approaches Zoe then keeps the girl away from her husband. Zoe surprised. He almost fell. Luckily Blerim caught it.

"You okay, Zoe?" ask Blerim.

"Yes, Uncle. I'm fine."

Eiger seemed annoyed that everyone's attention was on him. Moreover, Biana with no idea of the shame suddenly held a friendly hand of the man.

Jean, who was in a distant place, suddenly approached Biana and separated her from the Eiger. It's so embarrassing. Jean does not slap him, but immediately expels Biana from the party arena that is not over.

"Get you out of here! I could have been rude, but I tried to be nice to you. Please don't ruin my son's wedding!" snapped Jean.

The mood of the party is increasingly not conducive. Elmer decides to bring Biana home. Along the way, the man continued to scold his daughter.

While Bianca, she's been wanted to go home sooner. Despite staying at the hotel, they had to return to the mansion faster.

"The party's over soon. You can stay at the hotel as you please, but returning to the mansion is a must. Don't forget!" jean's message to David.

David was actually uncomfortable having to follow his brother-in-law's will. However, how else since the mansion was still part of his family.

"Yes, Brother. Me and Bianca will be back soon."

David had to give up. Tonight he stayed at the hotel, while the rest of the family returned to the mansion.

"You okay, Zoe?" ask Eiger.

"You don't worry, honey. Biana is jealous. He tried to get close to the Eiger, but I would never make it happen. You believe in us, don't you?" sahut Jean's.

Zoe was never afraid because Eiger's commitment was clear. However, what was feared was when Bianca entered the mansion. The woman was like she was opposite her mother-in-law.

"Oh yeah, you're all here. How fortuitous. I'd like to collect Uncle Blerim's appointment. No problem, right? Um, I mean a promise to look for my real parents. At least I know that I was born and want them to be happy to see me like this. How's it?" ask Eiger.

Balthis, who was sitting next to his wife, turned to the Eiger. His son still insisted on knowing his biological parents. Balthis could not prevent it anymore. Moreover, his own biological children are really gone.

"If Brother Balthis agrees, then I will find him immediately" said Blerim.

"Go! I have no right to forbid you to know the truth. You're going back to the mansion, aren't you?" ask Balthis.

How could the Eiger possibly leave the person who had taken care of him so far? At least he knows his parents. After that, he will come back again.

When they reached the mansion, Eiger and Zoe immediately went to her room. There are only three old men left.

"Blerim, are you sure of your decision?" ask Balthis.

"Of course, Brother. I promised him. Why why?"

Balthis was convinced that grief must have befallen the Eiger. His parents are dead, but there is no solid evidence of his parents' whereabouts. Balthis got only half of the doctor's story. It was very confusing at the time.

"His mother never wanted to be named. There was no word from the woman who gave birth to the Eiger. I named him, but I never knew who his parents were." Balthis tried to remember what happened decades ago.

"No problem, Brother. As long as I can get the information" Blerim said.

Eiger and David are married. Only Blerim remains. To this day, he is not married. In fact, there was not a single woman who could shake his heart.

"Blerim, aren't you planning on getting married? Um, I mean until when are you gonna keep going like this? Eiger has found the patch of his heart. David is also married. Even if it will eventually be like what it will be," explains Jean. There is excessive worry about one sister of her husband who has never moved on from her lover in the past.

"I can't forget Lilyana, sister. I feel we are still tied to this day. Well, you know how hard it is to love without forgetting. Moreover, I also do not know for sure where he is?"

It's hard to convince Blerim. The determination of his heart that always hoped for the presence of his love in the past never faded at all.

In a room in the mansion. More precisely the Eiger room, they were preparing to sleep. The night is almost late. After changing their clothes, they went to bed.

Zoe sat leaning against her husband's body. Eiger hugged him from behind. It feels very warm and peaceful.

"Eiger, are you sure you're gonna find your real parents? Wouldn't that hurt my mom and dad's feelings?"

Zoe's words have a point. However, he also wanted to know its origin. Instead of thinking, it is better to have certainty. After that, he will return to his extended family.
