Chapter 9. For Elov!

Work hours ended quickly. Blerim has a plan that David didn't know about before.

"Eiger, go home with your papa. Uncle's got business with David."

Eiger feels uncomfortable having to go home with her papa. Although he wanted to, but Balthis must have rejected it immediately.

"But, Uncle—"

"I'll tell your father."

"No need, Uncle. I'm gonna come over there and ask permission to go home together. Uncle doesn't have to interfere anymore."

How long will the Eiger escape this reality? Slowly or quickly, everything has to change. Eiger came out of his room into his papa's room.

"What's wrong?" ask Balthis.

"I'm going home with Papa."

Balthis. Eiger's arrival makes her feel uncomfortable at all.

"Go home with Blerim. I'm going home with David."

"Uncle Blerim's got business with Uncle David."

That one long sentence was enough to explain that Eiger could not go home with Blerim. He could have taken a taxi, but this might have been Blerim's request so Balthis couldn't turn him down.

"alright. Wait for me in the parking lot! A little more work is done."

"Thank you."

"Hemm," Balthis answered briefly.

Not long after, Balthis soon followed the Eiger to the parking lot. Then the man immediately drove his car. On the way home, neither Balthis nor Eiger spoke to each other. It was like being blocked by a high wall that separated them. Eiger did not dare to speak even though there was a desire. He was just trying to make room for Balthis.

Arriving at the mansion, Jean was apparently waiting in the courtyard. She knew her husband would come. Rushing she greeted her husband then saw Eiger get off the same car. Jean pursed her lips. She could not believe that her husband was interacting with the child who was not her.

Pointing out the intention of welcoming her husband, Jean first entered the mansion. Balthis followed upon seeing his wife unhappy with his arrival.

"Jean, wait!" shouted Balthis.

The woman kept her feet going to the room. Balthis followed him there. Just as Jean was about to lock the door, Balthis held the door with one of his legs.

"Jean, don't be such a kid!"

"You are like a child, Balthis. Why did you come home with that kid? I don't like it!"

Jean kept the door shut. Balthis pushed it open. Jean's efforts apparently lost. Balthis was able to enter easily and then the man closed the door again.

"Why is your attitude like that?"

"Darling, I don't like it when you're with Eiger. He's someone else. Please don't give her another chance to be close to him. It's been enough for 27 years that we've been living away from Elov."

Balthis nodded in understanding. However, Jean does not yet know the reason why Eiger could be with him.

For Jean, whatever it is to the Eiger, she already dislikes it. Until Elov has not been found, that's how long he'll be bad to the Eiger.

"Tell Blerim not to try to bring the boy closer to us. If they want me to be nice to him, better find Elov. In a few days, your replacement will be held soon. I want Elov there!"

Jean's rising voice made Balthis very surprised. It is not usual for his wife to act as harshly today.

"Jean, watch your talk! I want the same thing. I want Elov to be there, but I cannot refuse Blerim's request today. It might be this business for us."

Jean went to her husband's desk. She remembered that there was a gun that had always been the pride of her husband. Balthis said that this gun will be given to Elov one day.

Seeing his wife holding the gun, Balthis was shocked. The gun was empty, but it could have been loaded quickly. However, the effect it will cause will be fatal. The gun nicknamed Desert Eagle was deadly to its opponent. That's why Balthis always kept the gun away from the bullet.

"Where's the bullet?" ask Jean. He looks very emotional.

"Nothing" said Balthis.

"Give me!" jean shouted.

Balthis tried to take the gun. He won't until Jean finds the bullet. Not only is she in danger, Jean will experience the same.

"No, Jean. You shouldn't have held that gun. It's a gift for our son, Elov. Don't you miss him?"

Which woman does not miss her child? Jean misses him a lot. His heart and soul were about to die when he lost the Elov that he had only had a few seconds. Replaced with Eiger not only makes the woman happy, but she lives in grief all this time.

"Balthis, I miss him a lot. More than you miss our son. I'm almost crazy. If Elov isn't found, I'd better end my life!" menacam Jean's.

Balthis tried to take the gun back. At this time he hugged his wife. He tried to make the woman open her heart that Elov must have been found.

"Stop, Jean! Stop saying that! You know, me, Blerim, and David are looking for Elov. You know, because of our past mistakes, we lost a very valuable treasure. The wealth we have today is not comparable to Elov. You know that, right?"

Jean's memory also twisted her past memories. When he gives a baby who is still red to someone else. That masked man was the one who took him. He barely recognizes who the man is even though Jean knows his true identity. After the incident, Balthis tried to spy on his whereabouts. However, they left no trace at all.

"I don't believe that, Balthis. They're trying to make the Eiger Willard's successor. You know, Elov's chances are very slim. Can't you try to rearrange that schedule?"

The schedule that has been made can not be canceled, but looking for the existence of Elov is being done. The most difficult thing is when Elov is not found and H day is in sight. There was doubt in Balthis' eyes that Elov would be hard to find.

Jean pushed on her husband's body. He ran to the balcony of his mansion. He doesn't care about himself anymore. He wanted to jump off the balcony if Elov could not be found.

Balthis's shout invited everyone to come out of the mansion. Including the Eiger which is currently located just below the balcony. While Jean chanted her rejection for Elov, the child she had longed for.

"If your sisters can't find Elov, I'll end my life instead. You'll be free from our dark times together, Balthis!"

"Don't be stupid, Jean! If you end your life, what if Elov comes back? What am I gonna tell him?"

Everyone under the balcony was also very hysterical. Jean had gone up on the balcony railing. One jump, Jean will die.

"Ma, down! I will no longer bother you. I'll help you find Elov's whereabouts. I promise," cried Eiger from below.

"You see, Jean! Even the child we've taken care of wants Elov back. Please comedown. At least for Elov!"

Jean was still in her position. He wants Elov. There was nothing happier for him than his son. He had already gone through an unusual life. Jean was very depressed.
