Chapter 63. Apply for Zoe

The engagement party is not over yet. This engagement was held so luxurious that Jean felt that Bianca was too excessive. In addition, Bianca also asked for some fancy gifts that David had to give her.

"Darling, why do you look so upset?" ask Balthis.

"I don't know if David will continue this ridiculous marriage, or instead let go of the young girl? I think David's getting misguided" Jean lamented.

"Leave it. We talked to him, didn't we? After this we better announce Eiger's wedding plans. I think it's much better for you."

Yes, Eiger it's time to get married. It's just that his son was not sure who introduced the lucky girl who would accompany him.

"Eiger is still unclear. If she loves Zoe, I'll agree to prepare for her engagement party."

Forgetting the engagement party that night, the following days felt very fast. David's wedding will be soon. While Jean was, she kept on approaching her son.

At this time, Jean deliberately visited her son's room. Eiger happens to be in the mansion because today is indeed a holiday. Everyone was busy in their room. Sometimes they will meet. It was breakfast, lunch, and night.

"Lake in!" eiger orders when he hears the door of his room being knocked.

"Are you busy?" ask Jean after she enters.

"No, Ma. What's up?" Eiger sat on his bed. He was lying there to refresh his mind.

"May you talk about something important?"

"Hemm, of course. Whatever, just say it!"

Jean tried to stare at the entire room that was always neat. Men's rooms designed by Eiger.

"Mama wants you to get married soon, Eiger."

Eiger was surprised. It's only natural that he was surprised. It's the biggest demand a great woman has ever asked for in her life. Eiger still wants to find his real family.

"Ma, I'm not ready yet" he refused.

"Hey, until when will it continue like this? Zoe ran away, Eiger!"

Ah, the girl's name was called her mother for the first time. Is this what you call a golden opportunity?

"Did Mama like Zoe?"

"certain. She's a good girl. Even mama hopes that you can get married first rather than your uncle!"

"Why did Mama say that? Uncle David is engaged. She should have married first, right?"

Jean actually had a special reason not to let Bianca enter the family mansion first. Moreover, that arrogant girl would definitely become a thorn in the flesh for the rest of her family.

"If you want to get married first, Mama will give you something special."

There's no way Eiger could have confirmed her mother's request. When he was not too close to Zoe by heart, but the interaction was quite close.

"Mama's gonna propose to Zoe for you. You should get married."

Like a must for Jean. This was done so that Zoe first entered the mansion, rather than having to wait for Bianca.

"Serah Mama's. I don't want to get dizzy."

Eiger has resigned. More than half of his life has been devoted to the family who nurtured him. 

Jean had a word of agreement even though Eiger was still reluctant to get married. However, marrying Zoe is no reason to refuse than she should be pursued by Biana.

"Papa, I want to talk to you" Jean said as she returned to her room.

"Darling, listen to me! You don't want this mansion destroyed because of that one woman? Well, you're the year alone that I don't like her" Jean lamented.

"You don't like it because you don't have the same vision and mission, do you? Learn to accept Bianca. After all he's your brother-in-law later."

Balthis did not seem to want to bother with the words of his wife. Every time we meet, the complaints are always Bianca's problem.

"I want to give you a solution to my problem, honey."

"Hemm, you must want David out of the mansion, right?"

Jean chose to sit on the sofa and pursed her lips. This middle-aged couple is even like a young couple who incidentally still like a teenage girl is in love.

"No, Darling! I want Eiger to get married. He's agreed that I'm going to propose to Zoe."

"It's up to you" Balthis concluded.

Sure enough, when dinner arrives, Jean looks enthusiastic to announce the happy news from her adopted son. Initially, David thought he would get an announcement in his favor, but it even seemed to make him more dizzy.

"Calm down! This announcement is for all members of the mansion family. You will also be a part of this great event" said Jean Semringah.

"What news is this? Did we get a raise?" canda Blerim's.

"You will get a salary after marriage, Blerim," Balthis said.

They laughed when they heard his eldest brother. Eiger is not comfortable in this position. It was like competing with David.

"The announcement is that Eiger is getting married soon."

"What?" Balthis and David were shocked.

While David himself felt that his brother-in-law deliberately prioritized his son's marriage rather than himself.

"Sister, just bring up my wedding. Don't you ever call Eiger. I can be ashamed of people. He thought I couldn't give my future wife an impromptu marriage" David said.

"That's your business. Your date has been set. So, don't expect to be able to change things by yourself!" reproof Jean.

David could not say anything more. In a moment he would definitely get scorn from many people. 

Jean proved his point. A few days later, Jean and her family come to Zoe's residence near the lake. 

Jean brought a beautiful gift to her son's future fiancee.

"Why are you here?" ask Zoe.

"Sorry, if our arrival bothers you a little" Jean said.

Eiger did not come with the reason of having to take care of work. Actually he was afraid of getting rejection from Zoe.

All the members of the mansion, except for Eiger who came. They are welcome to enter a simple house that is far from the word luxury.

Some fancy handouts Jean brought. Not only that, there was one beautiful dress that was wrapped using a very elegant glass box.

Zoe's feelings are getting more and more erratic. He felt that this was the end of his life. He knows exactly what the Eiger family brought. That means, Zoe's proposed. Where is the Eiger?

"I'm sorry, I actually understand the situation as it is now. However, why didn't Eiger come to see me and ask for it?" said Zoe.

If the man wanted to, Zoe could actually think about it again. If now suddenly comes and has to accept it, is this comfortable for Zoe or even a pressure on her life?

"Eiger put that trust in me. As her foster mother, I have the right to take care of this engagement. So, are you gonna take it?" ask Jean to the heart of the matter.
