"Mrs Zahra had to return to surgery for a kidney transplant. We need a kidney donor for Mrs Zahra" the doctor said.
They all fell silent. Kenzo rubbed his face rough hearing the doctor's words.
"Take the kidney when, Doctor," Kenzo said.
"Don't be crazy, Kenzo!" dee and Melani said at the same time commemorating Kenzo.
"But, Ma, Umi-"
"Don't be crazy Kenzo. Your kidneys are just one, don't make Zahra even more angry because of this" Melani told Kenzo.
"Zahra needs this, Umi. Zahra has to live" said Kenzo.
"There must be another way. We're gonna find a donor for Zahra, son," Kevin told Kenzo.
"Check my kidneys."
Someone who had been standing behind them while continuing to mutter the apology said something that made all of them there surprised.
"Mas."
"Pig."
"Ib."
"Mr Ibra."
Ibra came forward to approach the Doctor and slightly bumped into Al's shoulder slowly.
"Mas" Dee shook his head trying to hold Ibra's hand to prevent the man.
Honestly, Dee was afraid Ibra would do something reckless. It's not that Dee isn't willing, but Ibra's current health doesn't allow her to become a Zahra donor.
"Check my kidneys, Doctor," Ibra said after arriving in front of the Doctor.
"No, Mom!" dee said firmly prevent Ibra.
"Honey," said Ibra softly turned to look at Dee.
Dee shook her head. "Don't be crazy, Mum. Your current health does not allow you to be a donor. After all, Zahra was definitely not happy with all of this. Remember Mas, your sacrifice will be a sorrow for Zahra and many people. It's not about giving happy, but it will give tears, Mas" Dee explained to Ibra.
Ibra. He did not answer Dee's words and turned to look at the Doctor. "Doctor," called Ibra to look at the doctor.
"Yes, Mr. Ibra," replied the doctor kindly.
"What will happen if I donate my kidneys?" ibra looked at the doctor seriously.
"The strength of the body will be reduced, sir, easily tired, causing other diseases to the donor. And even worse, it can cause death" said the doctor explained.
"Don't, Mas" said Dee Iirih.
"Abi," said Al and Kina together as she shook her head to look at Ibra.
"But there must be a donor who is okay, Doctor?" ask Ibra.
Doctor nodded. "If the donor is suitable and healthy, then the donor will not be okay, it will only affect the immune system. And also, many of the kidney donors survived, sir," replied the doctor who made Ibra pause for a while.
Even so, despite the Lives bet, this is a form of Abi's affection for Zahra, son. Inner Ibra closed his eyes for a moment.
Ibra breathes a lot of air neutralizing his feelings. "My kidney match, Doctor," Ibra said.
"Ib" said Kevin in disbelief.
"My son has to save me, Vin," Ibra said staring at Kevin.
Ibra walked up to Kenzo who was silent hearing everything. "Kenzo," call Ibra down.
"Don't, Abi. We can make other donors for Zahra. Abi calm down first, do not rush," said Kenzo. The anger that was so intensely in the crown to Ibra, now vanished after seeing how tormented Ibra was over all this. Instead of being just a victim, Ibra was unconsciously made a perpetrator by Sofia for all her crimes. Kenzo understands, Ibra and Zahra are the most tortured people here.
"Abi won't die just from donating Abi's kidney to Zahra. And if he dies, Abi doesn't die in regret, son," Ibra said, staring at Kenzo.
"Zahra would be angry with us if he let this happen, Abi," said Kenzo clenched his hands in his chest pleading with Ibra.
Ibra. He looked at everyone who was there in turn. Until his last look fell upon a woman he loved dearly. In his silence, Ibra looked long at Dee's face pleading with him.
"Let's check, Doctor," said Ibra after seeing Dee and leaving without saying a word following the Doctor.
"Hiks," Dee's body slumped to the floor to see Ibra and Doctor's departure. Dee sobbed softly at her husband's increasingly distant back.
"Grandmother," called out to Sela softly standing in front of Dee.
"Don't cry" said Sela shook her head.
"Why do the gods cry?" sela asked Dee and looked around.
"Chaca is not crying anymore" Sela continued, pointing at herself and Shasa. Shasa nodded in agreement to Sela's words. The little girl hugged Dee with Sela.
"We love Grandma."
"We love Grandma."
Said Sela and Shasa simultaneously hugging Dee who sobbed in the arms of her two grandchildren.
.....
"How's Aska?" ask Kevin.
"Sofia will be in court next week, Uncle," replied Aska who understood Kevin's question.
Kevin nodded. He leaned his head against the wall and looked up at the ceiling of the hospital. Really, it was tough for their test.
"I didn't expect it, brother," said Dee, who was suddenly sitting next to Kevin. They were still waiting for Ibra to come out of the examination room.
Kevin raised his head. He turned his head to look at Dee who was looking straight at the front door of the examination room.
"Don't know what, Dee?" ask Kevin.
"We are so strong that we are given a trial that even if imagined, it feels very unlikely to happen" said Dee.
"Dee-in"
"It feels like fate cursed us so much, brother. Zahra, Mas Ibra, everybody's hurt" Dee said quickly cutting off Kevin's words.
Al who heard his words immediately gave Sela who had been sleeping on her lap to Kenzo. After which, he walked and rested right in front of Dee.
"Umi," call Al softly.
Dee turned her gaze to look at Al. His mouth was tightly shut not answering Al's call.
"Isn't prayer our best weapon for this test?" al said holding both of Dee's hands on his knees.
"Umi's prayers never seem to be answered, hiks," said Dee lowered her tears so as not to break in front of them all.
Al shakes. "Don't talk like that, Umi. We must not doubt the existence of our Creator, Umi," Al said.
Dee nodded with her head lowered. He let go of Al's hand and wiped away the tears that he could not prevent. "Umi can't afford to lose Umi's child and husband" Dee said, recalling Zahra and Ibra.
"We must pray, Umi," Al assured Dee.
Kina who saw it all could only hug Aska. She did not want to cry, but all of this forced clear water out of her eyes. Aska rubbed gently on Kina's arm to calm her palace.
Chequek.
The examination room door is open. "How's Doctor?" kevin asked, standing over to the doctor.
The doctor looked at them all before opening his voice.
"Doctor?" call Kevin again.
The doctor breathed slowly. "Kidney Mr. Ibra, it fits Miss Zahra" said the doctor.
They're all quiet. Whether happy and sad, not knowing what kind of expression they had to put out at the moment. Only tears represent everything.
"Then how, Doctor?" ask Dee.
"Mr Ibra said she wanted immediate kidney donor surgery, Madam," the doctor replied.
"Aren't there other donors, Doctor?" ask Dee sissily.
Doctor shakes. "Nothing is, Madam. But it will take a very long time to find a new donor. While Miss Zahra's health requires us to immediately do a kidney donor," replied the Doctor gave an explanation to Dee.
"Hiks," just a cry that Dee could let out at this moment. As a mother, she could not see her son in pain. As a husband, Dee was not willing to lose Ibra.
Melani and Bu Sari who were there hugged Dee from behind. Fellow women, they were bewitching how Dee was feeling and the dilemma he was experiencing at the moment. Dee tried to calm herself down and inhaled a lot of air.
"Doctor," called Dee after she felt she was calm and in control.
"Do the operation. Sorry if I force this, please save my son and husband. Thank you Doctor," said Dee and went straight from there to calm his heart.
"Umi," call Kina to see Dee leave them all.
"Adek after Umi first," Kina told them all and soon followed Dee.
.....
"Doctor, the patient is bleeding" a nurse told the doctor who is still undergoing surgery.
"Immediately take a special handler," said the doctor to the other Doctor.
There were four doctors who performed the operation and were assisted by seven sisters.
"Both patients like giving up" said another doctor saw the two human bodies different age was having seizures.
"Pendonors lose their heartbeats, Doctor."
While in the hospital garden, Dee sat with her eyes closed. The tears that came out from the corner of her eyes signified a very deep sadness in her heart. His hands were unceasingly scrolling the grains of the prayer mat followed by a mouth that unceasingly spoke miser.
Be strong for me, my. Survive for Umi, Zahra. Inner Dee prayed for Ibra and Zahra who were fighting their lives in the operating room.
