Ibra, Dee, Kevin, Sofia and Yana walk up to the rescue team who say they found a female corpse.
I hope it's not you, son. Inner Sofia with the hope that is still very big if her child is still safe.
"Is the body recognizable?" dee asked in Yemeni to one of the rescuers.
"Very hard. Because we estimate, she's been buried in mud and flooded for two days, and-"
"No need to continue" said Dee quickly. He did not want to hear the words that made his heart ache.
Yana who understood all their words could only pray, even though her tears had also hatched to hear the words of the rescue team. I failed to keep the Trust, O Allah. Ii'm sorry. Inner Yana is sick.
Sofia who understood all the guilt of Yana clasped the woman's hand. "It's not your fault. Maybe this is fate. Zahra always told me, no human being is the cause of other human hurt. There must be God's intervention in all of this. Whether it's fate, fate or doom and trials though. All we need to do is be patient and keep believing in the provisions" said Sofia steadfast.
Yana just nodded even though her tears did not stop dripping from earlier.
"This is the body, sir, Madam," the rescue team said after they got there.
Ibra and Kevin looked at each other. Kevin nodded and advanced to get closer. He crouched down in front of the corpse and began unzipping the body wrap.
There was no foul smell from the corpse after Kevin opened it. The body is no longer recognizable.
"That's not Zahra" said Sofia in tears.
Dee who was looking at it with all her might came closer. His eyes examined the corpse, until Dee's gaze stopped on the corpse's fingers that seemed to glow.
"This is Zahra and Kenzo's wedding ring" Dee said.
"Hiks, Mas" said Dee to Ibra.
Ibra immediately hugged Dee who was not powered. "This ring must be sold a lot, Mas," Dee assures himself.
Sofia takes the ring from Dee's hand and looks at her. "Only Zahra has this ring, Dee. This ring was designed by Zahra when she was a child. This is his dream ring. Until the time will be married to Kenzo, Zahra immediately ordered a ring like this," said Sofia with tears.
"You're the mother, you should be optimistic that it's not Zahra, Sofia" Dee said.
"Darling," said Ibra.
"No, it's not Zahra. The ring can be owned by many people. He's not Zahra!" dee said sure.
"This woman also died pregnant, Madam," the rescue team said.
Yana and Dee's cries broke even more hearing it. "No! It's not Zahra" said Dee, who had been sitting on the ground.
"I'm sorry I can't take care of Zahra" Yana said with all her regret and guilt.
"Any woman can get pregnant, right. All women can get pregnant. It's not Zahra" Dee said.
"Bring the body. We will bury our son properly" Ibra said.
"No! He's not Zahra, Mas" Dee said.
"You strengthen us, Dee. Why are you like this?" said Sofia.
"Our son is still alive, Sofia" Dee said in a soft tone.
"Aren't you the one who taught me iklhas, Dee, hiks? Please strengthen us" Sofi said in tears.
Kevin stood up and hugged Sofia. Her hand gently rubbed Sofia's trembling back.
.....
Kenzo walked down the streets completely slum by the flood. Shoes that were originally very clean and shiny, now it is like used shoes that come out of the mud. The color that was originally black turned brown due to mud. But none of that had any effect on Kenzo. His heart and mind focused only on Zahra, his beloved wife.
"I'm sure you'll survive, honey," Kenzo muttered reassuringly as the others traveled elsewhere to see a woman's body found by rescuers.
Kenzo spread his gaze across all directions. Arriving at a corner of a house, he saw a boy sitting pensively looking at the house.
Kenzo is eager to get close, but he won't be able to understand if he's spoken to by the boy. Out of curiosity and love, Kenzo turns his steps toward the boy.
"Assalamu'alaikum" said Kenzo slowly.
The boy turned his head for a while and looked back at the house in front of him. Kenzo crouched down next to the boy. "Losing is painful" said Kenzo in Indonesian.
A look of shock from Kenzo's eyes heard the boy speak Indonesian. Because if you look at his face, this child is not Indonesian. The Arab face was very attached to him.
"You speak Indonesian?" ask Kenzo.
The little boy did not nod. "I came here the day before the disaster. The intention that initially wanted to gather with the whole family here, now turned into solitude," said the ten-year-old boy.
"Why sit here? Maybe your family is in a refugee camp" Kenzo said.
The boy shook his head. Then he looked at Kenzo with teary eyes. "There's a woman I love so much there" the boy pointed to the house in front of him.
"The woman you love?" ask Kenzo not to understand.
The boy nodded. "Mother is there" said the boy.
"Then why not ask the help of the rescue team to help your mother?" ask Kenzo wonder.
"They didn't find it" said the boy.
"I want to wait for Mom here. He'll definitely be back. No mother can leave her own child. So you can go, if you see a man who is not a muhrimnya here later, I will not want to go out" said the boy optimistic with his thoughts.
"But-"
"Go, maybe your family is also waiting for your arrival" said the boy.
Kenzo stood up and stared deep into the house. Kenzo turned his body and walked away.
When Kenzo's steps were a little far away, he heard a scream interspersed with cries. Kenzo turned around and saw a woman coming out of the house in mud and a very dirty face. "Mother" cried the little boy. They both hugged each other tightly. This bond between Mother and Son really feels very real.
Kenzo held his chest that felt thumping. "Is my belief like that child, Zahra?" ask Kenzo to himself.
"I beg you congratulations. If it wasn't for me, congratulations on Umi and Mommy, honey. They're the best mothers in the world for having a daughter like you" Kenzo murmured.
Kenzo again stepped foot to explore the city affected by the flood. His head kept to the left and to the right with a prayer always spoken in his mouth.
Kenzo stopped when he saw a woman sitting behind him. "Zahra," murmured Kenzo. He saw Zahra's posture on the woman.
Kenzo walked quickly with a smile expanding him. "Zahra," call Kenzo gently.
The veiled woman turned her head and looked down to see Kenzo. Kenzo's hand moved to touch the woman. But not yet had his skin come into contact with the cloth of the woman's clothes, a hand had held him. "Don't touch a woman carelessly here, Kenzo," said Ibra, who arrived suddenly.
"Abi" said Kenzo.
"He's Zahra, Abi" Kenzo said, pointing at the woman.
Ibra just kept quiet and shook her head in response to Kenzo's words. "He's not Zahra" Ibra said.
Kenzo turned his eyes to Dee, Sofia and Yana. Kenzo looked at their puffy eyes. Although his face was covered in a veil, Kenzo was sure they were crying.
"What's up, Umi?" ask Kenzo to Dee.
Dee shook her head. He didn't know what to say to Kenzo. He doesn't know how to tell Kenzo everything.
Looking at the silent Dee, Kenzo again circulated his gaze and saw the rescue team behind them with a body wrap on a stretcher they were carrying on their shoulders. "Who's body, Umi?" ask Kenzo.
"Mother, whose body is it?"
"Who's body, Auntie?"
They all just kept quiet hearing Kenzo's question.
"Abi," call Kenzo to look at Ibra with a questionable face.
"We must immediately bury Zahra, son," said Ibra lirih.
