Painful Marriage

Painful Marriage
CHAPTER 60

🌹HAPPY READING🌹

After a tearful encounter with Zahra and Sela, Kenzo and Dee are now in the car to return home. The two of them were silent with their own thoughts.

Kenzo focused on the road with his hands holding the steering wheel. His mind recollected when he returned to talking with Zahra.

*Flashback On*

"Don't remarry anyone other than me, Zahra," Kenzo asked for something his heart said.

Zahra looked at Kenzo with an indecipherable look. His mouth was tightly shut hearing Kenzo's question. Until then, there was a sigh coming from the woman's mouth. "That's all destiny. Who am I married to, or remain alone? The decisive creator, Brother," replied Zahra.

"But one thing is for sure, I'm happy with this kind of life" Zahra continued to stare at Kenzo.

Kenzo looked at Zahra. "Always happy, Zahra" said Kenzo.

"I'm always happy if nothing interferes with my life" Zahra replied firmly.

Kenzo could only stare silently at Zahra with very sad eyes. Is this the woman I hurt? This is the woman I used to torture so cruelly? Is this the woman I used to treat like an animal? Is this all the result of my actions? I don't like this assertion, My God. Please bring back my spoiled and cheerful woman. Inner Kenzo begged for his luck to have Zahra back.

"Go back like you used to, honey," said Kenzo, who was able to make Zahra look at him with a sharp gaze.

"Don't call a widow like that" Zahra said firmly but sounded very firm.

Kenzo shakes. "There's nothing wrong with my words. I said to my wife, was that a mistake?" ask Kenzo.

"Did Ken forget the divorce papers on that first night?" ask Zahra.

"I never signed it, Zahra," Kenzo told Zahra that they were still legal as husband and wife.

Zahra. "Maybe Ken didn't sign it, but Kak Ken's mouth and heart were already trying to divorce me, and it had already severed our husband and wife's relationship," zahra looked at Kenzo with a pause. "And right now we are only two strangers" Zahra continued with all the tightness in her heart.

"But-"

"Go, Brother Ken," said Zahra, pointing to the door of his house.

"If possible, forgive and come back, Zahra," said Kenzo sorrowfully with all his heart broken. Cupping both hands in the chest begged Zahra deeply.

"Go, Brother Ken," said Zahra without looking at Kenzo.

Kenzo lowered his hand with a smile mocking himself. That stupidity really destroyed him.

Kenzo stood up and slightly looked down at Zahra. "If Umi's done, tell her I'm waiting for the car, baby," Kenzo said, walking out of Zahra's house.

Zahra raised her head to look at Kenzo from the window of her house. "It's too late, Brother Ken," said Zahra, staring at Kenzo.

*Flashback Off*

Nothing hurts more than rejection. Inner Kenzo with one hand moved holding his chest that felt very tight.

Similarly to Kenzo, Dee's memory also rotates when he was about to return home.

*Flashback On*

Without Kenzo and Zahra noticing, Dee overhears their conversation. After putting Sela to sleep with little effort avoiding the child's various questions, Dee came out of Sela's room. However, Dee's steps stopped hearing Kenzo and Zahra's serious chatter.

Dee let out a heavy sigh hearing every word that came out of Zahra's mouth. Really assertive. Inner Dee heard all the words Zahra said to Kenzo.

Looking at Kenzo who had come out, Dee walked over to Zahra. He was sitting where Kenzo was sitting.

"Zahra," call Dee soft.

Zahra turned her gaze to Kenzo who was already outside the house. He smiled at Dee. "Umi," said Zahra hugging Dee spoiledly.

"Does Zahra accept Umi now?" tanya Dee gently rubbed Zahra's head that was covered in her instant Hijab.

Zahra. "Don't say that again, Umi. Zahra was ashamed to remember. I feel very ignorant if I act like that. Sorry, Umi," said Zahra regretted with all the keeogisannya earlier.

"I'm sorry if Zahra doesn't know herself, yes Umi," Zahra continued looking up at Dee.

"Don't repeat, son, yes" said Dee.

Zahra nodded. He promised that he would never do anything like that again to Dee.

"Zahra," call Dee soft.

"Yes Umi" said Zahra.

"We met the others, yes," Dee said, inviting Zahra to meet with her entire family.

"Did Zahra ever accept rejection from her own family?" ask Dee.

Zahra. It is true, all this time he was always treated well by all the Hebi family. There's no difference between him, Al and Kina.

"To be a mother doesn't have to give birth, son. Umi becomes Zahra's mother because of Zahra's affection. And no mother would deny the presence of her son, son," Dee said.

"And one more" said Dee hanging his words while looking at Zahra.

"Abi, Daddy and Mommy will definitely be happy if Zahra comes back" Dee reminded Zahra.

"Give Zahra time, yes Umi. If Zahra is sure, Zahra will go home" Zahra said.

Dee nodded. Zahra hugged Dee again to receive warmth from the woman.

"Zahra," call Dee again.

"Yes, Umi" Zahra replied.

"Are there no apologies for Kenzo, son?" ask Dee.

Zahra fell silent and took off her arms slowly with Dee. "The pain is still there, Umi. Not healed yet" said Zahra staring at Dee with teary eyes.

"And sorry if Zahra's heart is not as patient and sincere as Umi," continued Zahra.

Dee shook her head. "Zahra has been more than patient and sincere, son," Dee said.

"One message Umi, think Sela, yes," Dee reminded Zahra.

Zahra nodded doubtfully. Either she has to explain to her son later, but she no longer wants to hurt Sela. And hard again, his determination refused to accept Kenzo even though the love was still for him.

It won't be easy, Umi. As Umi said, until Brother Ken washed Zahra's wounds with his blood, the wounds were not necessarily healed. Inner Zahra.

"Umi," said Zahra softly.

"Yes, son," Dee replied.

"Did Umi's wounds also this deep because of the presence of Mommy?" zahra asked looking at Dee with teary eyes.

Dee fell silent at Zahra's question. His tongue was suddenly twisted for words.

"Would Zahra's tears make up for all the mistakes Mother used to make, Umi? Is Sela's childhood today able to compensate for Abang and Adek's misery first, Umi?" zahra continued with tears already flowing down her cheeks.

"It's not Zahra who has to pay for everything, son," Dee replied gently wiping away Zahra's tears.

"Just one message, Umi, son. Never imitate your Mother's selfishness" said Dee softly.

*Flashback Off*

Dee's tears don't feel as if she's falling in remembrance of Zahra's questions about her past. He turned his head to look at Kenzo who also wiped the clear water in the corner of his eyes.

"You crying, Ken?" ask Dee.

Kenzo chuckled slightly and looked at Dee for a moment. "It's great to meet the woman we love, Umi. Especially Sela, the fruit of my love and Zahra" replied Kenzo.

Kenzo was silent for a while after noticing his words. The fruit of love that I forced her presence along with the wound in her mother's heart. Inner Kenzo.

Kenzo looked at Dee who was also staring at him. "Are you going to give up, Ken?" ask Dee.

Kenzo shakes. "All this is not yet how much of Zahra's business was, Umi," replied Kenzo mutely.

"Learn from someone you can make a place to go home in this, son," Dee said.

"Who's Umi?" ask Kenzo.

"Stupid man, great at the same time, Ken."
