Painful Marriage
CHAPTER 166

🌹HAPPY READING🌹

Kenzo kicked at the door of the room that was already closed. He let out a rough sigh and threw down the file in his hand a little hard.

"You shouldn't be like that, Kenzo!" said Anggara who suddenly was on the doorstep of Kenzo's room.

Kenzo raised his head. "Papa" he said slowly.

"What did you do to Zahra?" ask Anggara without further ado.

"It's Kenzo's problem, so Papa doesn't have to interfere" Kenzo replied, turning his eyes away. So many links Anggara, until the middle-aged man immediately knew everything that happened.

"But you hurt my son-in-law!" anggara stared intently at Kenzo.

Kenzo neutralized his expression. He cleared his throat briefly ignoring the warning from Anggara. Kenzo continued his work to divert all Anggara's words.

Anggara sighed softly looking at Kenzo's behavior. Instead of getting wiser, the child was getting more stupid and childish.

As Kenzo rages in his room since he arrived this morning, Arman calls Anggara and tells him everything he knows without anything added and subtracted. Until without a second thought, Anggara immediately met Kenzo. And who would have thought, just now when he was going to get out of the elevator, he passed Zahra who was already covered in tears.

Anggara walked closer and closer to Kenzo's desk. His outstretched hand pulled a little chair to give him space to occupy the chair.

"Don't repeat the same mistake, Kenzo," said Anggara softly.

"If it's no business, Papa can go. I'm sorry, Kenzo is not driving away, it's just that Kenzo does a lot of work" Kenzo said without taking his eyes off the files he had in his grasp.

"It's more important than your job" Anggara said.

Kenzo stared in Anggara. He sighed and dropped the file he had just held onto the table just like that.

Decits of chairs and floors were heard as the man stood up and walked towards the large glass window in his room. "It's Kenzo's business, Pa. So let Kenzo handle it" said Kenzo slowly.

"Fear of your efforts harming you, Kenzo," replied Anggara.

"When you settled that unwarranted grudge, what happened? You hurt a lot of people. You make the child have to be separated from his parents. You make a mother cry because she lost her child. You made a brother lose his sister. You made a sister lose her brother. You made a father lose his beloved little woman. And most painfully, you make your own flesh and blood live as an orphan, Kenzo," Anggara continued at length to bring out everything he had in mind to resuscitate Kenzo.

"It used to be stupid, Pa. Kenzo admits it, Kenzo is stupid, cowardly, a jerk, and has no heart. But this time, none of that will happen" Kenzo said with a straight look at the streets that seemed dense with various iron objects moving alternately.

"My daughter-in-law only intends to help you, Kenzo," Anggara reminded again.

Kenzo nodded. He approved of what Anggara said, but that was not the reason for his anger. Falsehoods. Why hide it if you want to help him? Isn't it better to be open to each other? Many questions now come to Kenzo's mind.

"Then what's wrong? There's nothing wrong with a wife helping her husband, Kenzo!" said Anggara who was getting impatient with Kenzo's behavior.

"If Papa doesn't know what's going on, it's better not to interfere, Pa" Kenzo said.

"Looking at my daughter-in-law crying out of her husband's own room makes me feel so unselfish, Kenzo. Her tears, more precious than anything," Anggara said.

"Even he is precious, Pa," replied Kenzo.

"Then why are you acting like that to her? Destroying your work space and silencing it, is that a solution?" ask Anggara not to believe what Kenzo is doing.

"Please don't do this, Kenzo. Remember, your wife is pregnant. Do not let anything happen to the content just because of all this," said Anggara softly.

"Papa knows, you can defend your pride. But you remember, a wife's good intentions are unlikely to harm her husband. No wife wants to embarrass her husband's self-esteem, Kenzo. I hope you listen to what Papa has to say, before things get complicated," Anggara said and immediately stepped out of Kenzo's room.

Kenzo grabbed his own hair after Anggara's departure. Really, he felt his pride was slightly hurt at the moment. He was like a fool in front of his wife, and also Kevin as his father-in-law.

My pride is a little hurt, Pa. Inner Kenzo sadly stared at what was in front of him.

.....

This is where Kenzo is now. In front of a man who was already helpless with a terrible situation. Feet and hands were tied in chains, as well as bodies full of cuts and bruises.

Kenzo vents all his heartache and grief at the mastermind of it all. Someone who caused his company a big loss until now ended up with a problem with Zahra.

"Sir, he could die if you keep beating him" Arman warned Kenzo.

Kenzo regulated his irregular breathing. His eyes were crimson with a terrifying sharp look. "You can't die. You're only gonna die if things get better, motherfucker!" kenzo kicked the man in the face.

Kenzo distanced himself and allowed the suit to fall apart. A little dust stuck to his suit and shirt. "Don't forget to feed him!" kenzo said to his men. After that, Kenzo walked out of the basement.

.....

Zahra walked back and forth in the living room. Her eyes continued to stare out the curtain slit looking at her husband's car. Twelve o'clock in the night, but Kenzo didn't come home. Zahra's gaze turned to Sela sleeping on the living room sofa. The boy insisted on accompanying her waiting for Kenzo to come home.

Zahra sat on the sofa near Sela's head and rubbed the boy's hair. "You know how Mother feels, son," said Zahra with a smile.

Afterwards, he stares at the phone hoping Kenzo will give him a message or news. But no, no messages visited the green application.

Zahra gets the idea, she takes a picture of Sela sleeping and sends it to Kenzo.

Although not for me, at least let's go home to Sela and our future son.

Such was the sound of the message Zahra sent along with a picture of Sela sleeping, she hoped, Kenzo could remember their child a little.

.....

At the company, Kenzo is still busy with a lot of files on his desk. His eyes were already slightly watery and red due to the laptop that kept on burning, yet he had to finish this immediately for the cooperation he would have with other companies.

When cool with his activities, notifications on the phone distract Kenzo. Kenzo took his phone and opened the green app. His heart was slightly pinched at the sight of Sela sleeping on the sofa, and did not forget the wife's stomach which seemed to be slightly protruding from outside her clothes. Kenzo admits, Zahra is very smart in taking pictures to touch her heart.

"I'm sorry, Son."
