"Assalamu'alaikum, Dad," Kevin said after pressing the green button to receive Kevin's call.
"Girisham, Ken. How are you?" ask Kevin from across the street.
"Thank you be good, Dad. How's dad?" ask Kenzo back.
"I'm good. Zahra's okay?"
Kenzo was silent for a while, after which he smiled and nodded at his place, even though he knew Kevin would not see that. "Zahra is fine Dad, maybe" Kenzo replied in his heart at his last word.
"Em, thank goodness then. I just wanted to ask, is it true that you canceled our partnership, Ken?"
Kenzo was silent for a moment hearing Kevin's question. He knew that sooner or later Kevin would ask him this.
"I just want to be independent, Dad," replied Kenzo calmly.
There was a breath of Kevin across the street. "Don't lie, Kevin. I know there's something you're trying to hold on to" Kevin said.
Kenzo just smiled. Her father-in-law was well aware of how she was doing. But anyway, Kenzo has to settle it himself, it's his household affair with Zahra, so it's his responsibility to keep what happened a secret. Only he and Zahra have the right to deal with this.
"Let me finish it all, Dad," Kenzo said.
"I believe you've changed. Do not repeat the same mistake. Think sebum.act, Ken. I don't know what's going on between you and Zahra, but one thing you should know, a priest won't hurt his own mother" Kevin said.
Kenzo smiled at Kevin. It is true what his father said, that a priest will never injure his mother, but every priest has a different way of guiding his mother. "Thank you for the advice, Dad," said Kenzo sincerely.
"If you need anything, then don't hesitate to contact me. I close first, Assalamu'alaikum," said Kevin hung up his phone.
"Waalaikumsalam" replied Kenzo.
Kenzo rested his body on the back of the chair by massaging the base of his nose.
Just as Kenzo was about to stand up to grab a drink from the mini fridge hanging in his study, his phone rang again. Kenzo saw the name 'My wife' on his phone screen. Kenzo let the first call pass by. On the third call, he raised the call.
"What's wrong?" asked Kenzo directly without any further ado.
"Mas, can you please come down for a moment" said Zahra from across the street. Kenzo hears Zahra's voice as usual.
Wait a minute, downstairs, that means Zahra has her office right now. Really, Kenzo is not looking to meet anyone for now.
"Back home. I'm a lot of work" said Kenzo and just cut his call.
After disconnecting his phone with Zahra, Kenzo again busy with his laptop and files.
Amidst his busyness, the sound of the door opening violently.
"Dad!" a shrill voice suddenly entered Kenzo's room.
"Astagfirullah, Sela," said Kenzo shocked at the sudden arrival of his son. Usually Sela will come with someone, Zahra or others, at least Arman who will help the child to enter. Because the boy would have always forced and judged Arman to follow his will, but now, he seems to have come alone.
Kenzo got up from his seat and walked over to his son. "What's wrong with you, honey?" kenzo said after aligning his height with Kenzo.
"It's still school hours, why are you here?" kenzo asked after seeing the clock on his wrist.
"Dad," called Sela with her quivering voice. A second later, tears fell down the child's cheeks with her lips curled down, accompanied by her loud cries filling Kenzo's room.
"Dad, Buna, hix" said Sela, sobbing with the back of her hand, wiping her tears.
"Calm down, son. Mother why? Mommy's fine at home" said Kenzo to calm Sela down.
Sela shook her head. "Where do you know Buna's okay? My father did not speak since this morning cama Buna, Hiks," said Sela replied to Kenzo's words.
Kenzo pensively listened to his son's words. It turns out that his son is sensitive to what is happening, his son also feels loneliness and cold behavior. But that's the business later, the important thing is now that he must know in advance the cause of his son's crying. "Wait a minute, Sela why cry like this, son? Wh why? What's going on?" ask Kenzo.
"Buna, you've belldah, Dad. Buna's leg was there."
DEG
Kenzo's heart was beating unnoticed by hearing his son's words. Seen her paled face heard Sela's speech. "Don't joke, honey," said Kenzo, trying to deny what he heard
Sela shook her head in her tears. "Celius, Dad. Cela did not lie, hiks," said Sela staring at her father.
"Where, son?" ask Kenzo's scared.
"So, when you want to take the elevator, Buna's pelutnya dark. Telus Buna Pingcan Daddy. Checkalang brought Uncle Alman to the hospital, hix," said Sela sniffled to tell Kenzo.
****. Bait Kenzo in the heart. Arman was really looking for trouble with him. He should have told Kenzo first, but the man took himself to the hospital instead.
Without warning, Kenzo immediately held Sela and ran out of the room. Sela hugged her father's neck tightly by leaning her head against Kenzo's shoulder. Behind Kenzo's shoulder, the boy seemed to be emitting his mischievous smile. Selu also bell acting. Inner Sela was happy and her ignorant eyes.
.....
Kenzo drives his car at full speed. Sela who was sitting on the passenger bench was a little frightened to see Kenzo who was upset and speeding to bring his car.
"Slowly, Dad. Cela was afraid," the boy's great-grandson was afraid.
"Sorry, son," said Kenzo regretted and normalized the pace of his car.
Kenzo refocused on the streets ahead of him. His hand gripped firmly the steering wheel of the car channeled the uneasiness that plagued his heart.
You have to be strong, honey. You guys have to be strong. Please take care of Mommy for Daddy, son. Inner Kenzo prays for his wife and child who are still in the womb of Sela.
Hearing the words of Sela who said blood flowed at Zahra's feet, Kenzo's mind was immediately fixed on their son.
You're a jerk, Kenzo. Put Kenzo on himself. When he received a call from Zahra, he picked up and listened to what his wife had said. Not just keep raising the ego.
Five minutes later, Kenzo's car reached the infirmary. Kenzo got out of the car and carried Sela running into the hospital.
"Mother," call Kenzo as soon as you see Ms. Sari sitting in the front seat of the ER.
"Sir Kenzo," said Bu Sari, standing up.
"Mom, how's Zahra?"
