PENGHALAM
Chapters 12. Don't Expect On Humans

As usual, this morning Vira cooked for breakfast. The menu this time is just anchovy fried rice. Vira deliberately made a practical menu. Her mind was still filled with her husband's request to remarry. Although Vira said that he was sincere to be combined, but he could not deny his small heart if it was all still stuck in the heart.

Which woman is willing to be in honey. However, Vira had no other choice. He must learn to be sincere and patient.

In the past, when they were newly married Vira felt the luckiest woman. Yudha very much united herself. Vira was very hopeful for Yudha, she thought that she would forever unite him.

However, yesterday everything changed, Vira felt slammed to the bottom of the earth when her husband asked for permission to remarry. Maybe she had too much hope for her husband, so when reality was not as beautiful as her dreams, Vira felt her world was destroyed.

Imam Shafi’i said:

When you expect too much of someone, Allah will inflict on you the pain of empty hopes. Allah does not like it when anyone wishes on other than His Thing, Allah hinders his ideals so that he returns to hope only to Allah SWT. So never expect too much in humans, you will feel disappointment.

Vira serves fried rice to the plate and the tower at the table. The woman then cleaned her cooking utensils.

Desy's mother, Vira's in-laws, came out of her room. He sat down and ate the fried rice he was cooking.

"What time were you guys home last night? What restaurant to eat at? It's a waste of money eating out. Though the cuisine at home is more guaranteed cleanliness," said Desy's mother.

Vira did not want to answer her mother-in-law's words. He was not arguing for fear that it would explode, when his heart was not okay.

"Sounds you're still working fine, right? Why not answer my question?" ask Mom in a slightly high voice.

"Thank God this son-in-law that I never expected was still healthy" replied Vira.

When his mother-in-law said again, Yudha came up from the room. The man also sat down near the dining table.

"Mom, I just wanted breakfast. I've been asked about that."

"What is the difficulty in answering agree or not. It won't reduce your time!" said mother a little upset.

Yudha looked at Vira. Maybe her husband still keeps Vira's feelings. When Vira stood up to pick something up, the man answered her mother's question.

"Yes, Vira agrees."

"Goodoo. If he doesn't agree, you'll be divorced. Rest assured, you will easily get a woman who is much better than him," said Mother.

Vira could hear her mother-in-law's words. He took a breath to remove the sebak on the chest.

"If your wife has agreed to honey, you immediately apply for Weny. Soon you are married. Good intentions do not need to be delayed," said Desy's mother next.

Vira held her chest that felt tight. Although he said sincerely, whether the two of them could not even take care of his feelings. Why did I have to propose and get married again so soon? vira said in her heart.

Vira walked away from her mother and husband. Go into the room. Vira held his chest.

"Why does this heart still hurt when I hear Mas Yudha is getting married again? I tried to close my heart to that man. I tried to throw away my feelings for her. But it wasn't that easy, I still felt pain" Vira murmured to herself.

Don't believe too much, don't love too much, don't expect too much, because too much will hurt so much. Don't blame those who let you down, in fact you're the ones who put yourself up for disappointment. Don't get your hopes up. When the heart has too much hope in man, then Allah has placed on you a pain as far as hope, so you know that Allah is very jealous of the heart that wishes other than Him. Allah prevents you from doing this, so that you may return to His hope.
