PENGHALAM
Chapter 73. Childbirths

Vira's closer delivery makes Raka always ready to standby. He has not allowed Vira to work so as not to be too tired which will even have an impact on the content. Vira initially gets upset when Raka asks her for maternity leave sooner than she should, but because she herself was also aware that it was solely for the health of her baby - especially she also often felt cramping - she was finally able to understand Raka's actions.

"Don't lift heavy things! Let's see that belly of yours, it looks like it's going to explode."

Vira just laughed at Raka's silly words. Raka often visits Vira's apartment just to make sure Vira is okay. He also often helps Vira do homework even though there is already one assistant in the house. Vira himself did not mind it or also felt that he had troubled Raka. As long as Raka chooses to do this, Vira does not need to think long just because she feels bad.

"Doctor said about a week away." They both sat on the porch. Vira stared at the stretch of sky outside here. The air is fresh, not too hot and not too cold. There was fear in Vira's eyes, and Raka could realize that. Under these circumstances, his attention almost never escaped Vira. And he will always try to relieve the anxiety.

"Don't worry, I'll accompany you to the hospital later." Raka gently rubbed Vira's shoulders, trying to calm her down. Raka really understands that the moment of delivery is a stressful time as well as happy for a mother, especially those who have experienced it for the first time.

The shadow of the pain and the tear that could have occurred, is clearly a terror for a new mother. Therefore Raka will not let the bad thoughts haunt Vira which will even make it stressful and so difficult in the delivery process later.

"I'm a little scared. I've read or seen references to this. It made me almost sleepless" Vira said.

Raka felt even more sorry to hear that. It turned out that in these past few days, Vira could not sleep because she was not calm with her own mind. He was frightened by something that had not happened and was just in his brain.

"Don't think about something too often that scares you. You know if the more you feel stress, then it will greatly affect your delivery later. It has to do with hormones, so try to relax."

Vira just nodded, trying to do the advice from Raka earlier, although maybe it would be very difficult to do, let alone she could be said to be alone in the house. In each night, there was clearly no one to hug her from behind and calm her down whenever she felt fear because of those bad thoughts. He needed his shoulders and ears to hear all the complaints. Raka can't do it yet considering they're not married.

"I know it's very difficult. Maybe it's better if I read a lot or watch a lot of motivational topics that won't scare me too much into labor."

Raka nodded and gently rubbed Vira's hair. He believes that everything will go smoothly as long as Vira is willing to make peace with her own mind. If Vira could tame those bad thoughts, she would be able to conquer herself.

Until when Vira realized that her doctor might have misjudged. Five days after the incident she felt an overwhelming heartburn in her stomach. At first he thought that it was a pain that would pass and he could move back home, but he didn't.

Raka who got a call from the assistant house Vira directly gas from the office to the apartment. He helps Vira until she is taken by ambulance to the hospital. Raka even entered the delivery room because it was promised from the beginning that he would accompany Vira until the baby was born.

Vira was very scared. The atmosphere made him a little stressed. The lights are too bright, the sound of machines everywhere, doctors and nurses passing by, not to mention the sound of panic makes his head so dizzy.

He wanted to shout so that everyone there should not make a commotion that makes him stress like this, but to just say a word was very tiring for him. He could only complain as if it could ease his pain. Raka was behind him and continued to calm himself while rubbing the top of Vira's head.

Vira tried to do instructions from the doctor, especially to calm down and also regulate his breathing as he had learned so far. After a few minutes passed, the baby's head came out and was followed by a whole body that seemed to slide just like that.

Her labor was quite painful but also quite short. He managed to control himself and also regulated his breathing well. He experienced the ferguson reflex like other mammals in nature.

Vira immediately forgot the excruciating pain after hearing the sound of the baby crying. She cried as soon as she saw her baby was born healthy. The nurses help her to clean up and cover her little baby before Raka gives her a kiss.

Raka, who had abused the baby, felt a little something in her heart when she saw the baby's face. No need to ask, of course the baby's face is very similar to his father who is none other than Yudha.

Seeing that face made Raka feel like there was something burning in her heart. However, she must also accept that she will see Yudha's face forever after she marries Vira. This baby is the image and copy paste of Yudha.

"She looks very charming" said Raka, continuing to look at the baby's face. Not only Raka, Vira herself also realizes that this baby is much more similar to her father than her own.

Something he actually did not expect because he did not want to evoke those memories again. At first he hoped that the baby would be completely similar to him, there was no need for anything to indicate that Yudha was still there.

However, it was only hope, after all he could not control it. She couldn't blame anyone here if the baby looked more like her father than she did. Let him accept this. After all, not all things of Yudha will be attached to her baby. There must be something different that the baby will get from his own mother.
