PENGHALAM
Chapter 61. Meet Vira

Yudha was willing to not work at all today because she wanted to see Vira. He does not care if his work will be neglected and must stay up late to finish it. For him apologizing to Vira is a very important thing and should not be delayed at all. He still has plenty of time to finish his job.

"Where are you going? Don't want to work today?" His mother asked when she saw Yudha, who was wearing a regular T-shirt and was about to leave the house. Yudha said nothing, just smiled and nodded towards her mother. He just walked out without saying a word.

Yudha drove the vehicle to the house she had once occupied with Vira. Hoping that once he got there, he immediately found Vira's face. He can't wait to wait for that.

However, it was not as simple as he had imagined. It turned out that when he arrived at the house, the house was tightly closed as if no one was inhabiting it.

"The virus! You're inside? Please open the door! I'd like to talk to you for a second." Yudha shouted and still hoped that there was someone in the house.

He thought that maybe now Vira was still sick so that her house was closed tightly so that no one would disturb her. That shout was even heard by the neighbor who was currently feeling annoyed.

But Yudha did not care at all. He just wants to meet Vira. Various efforts he made. He peeked through the window slit that unfortunately he also found nothing there.

He even made his way to the back of the house, peering through any gaps he could see. The inside of the house looked very quiet, it was really like no one was inhabiting it.

"Vira, I know you're inside. Please open the door! It's me Yudha. I want to talk to you for a minute."

"He wasn't in that house. This house is no longer inhabited. He moved a few days ago."

Yudha immediately turned to the source of the voice, mistakenly knowing that the person was talking to her. A young woman who is currently carrying a shopping bag, may have just arrived at the minimarket. The woman also seemed to be disturbed at Yudha's screams earlier.

Yudha frowned as soon as she understood what the woman had said earlier. His house is uninhabited? Vira moved out of this house? He didn't even think about it. How vengeful Vira was against him so much that he chose to stay away and leave this house, the house they once occupied.

Vira did choose to move because she no longer wanted to live in a house full of bitter memories. He wants to forget everything.

"Where did he go? Did he sell the house? Or did he leave a final message before leaving this house?" yudha asked, walking closer to the woman. For a moment the woman looked towards the house. He seemed to think before then shaking his head.

"Let's see, I don't know if he sold it. He just left this house a few days ago. And I have absolutely no idea where his new home is. I'm sorry because that's all I know right now."

Yudha let out a disappointed sigh, if it was like this she would have to go where else.

There was already no hope of contacting Vira at this time, it was clear she would not pick up again and she did not know the new number of the woman.

Yudha tried to calm down in order to think. He sat on the veranda of the house, thinking for a few minutes about how he could meet Vira today.

Some time he finally arrived, asking permission from one of the people there so that he could meet with Vira. At first the young woman did not seem to allow Yudha at all to meet Vira, but Yudha remained urgent.

"Now Miss Vira is very busy. Understand please. The workers here also cannot be disturbed if they are working. We're just trying to help them get the job done without any distractions."

"I beg you, only about ten minutes. I won't take much time from him. I promise you once it's done he'll be back at work."

The woman seemed uncomfortable because of Yudha's constant urgency. He spoke for a moment to some of his colleagues. Later, the woman allows Yudha to meet Vira.

Yudha felt very relieved because she could finally see the woman's face again. It was as if he was discovering something new that he had never faced all this time. The sense of happiness she felt at this moment even exceeded the sense of happiness when Weny said that she was pregnant. Even at a time like this, he did not care about the presence of children.

"What are you doing here, Mom? I thought you wouldn't see me again."

Yudha was quite hurt to hear the first sentence of the woman. However, he was also trying to understand why Vira said such a thing and he was indeed worthy of listening to her.

"I'm sorry I bothered you today."

Vira folded her hands and stared intently at Yudha. Yudha had been staring at the woman, hoping that Vira could feel what she was feeling right now. Yudha desperately wished for Vira to find out that she was currently feeling very sorry.

"I don't have much time to imitate you. Just tell me what you want. If you need anything, I might be able to grant it now."

Yudha shook her head and looked down for a moment. He took a deep breath and tried to calm down. His heart was pounding hard at this moment.

"I came here just to apologize to you. I'm so sorry for what I've done to you so far. I'm sorry I didn't believe you were pregnant with my son. I want to fix everything. I hope you give me a chance."

Vira was very surprised to hear all that. He had no idea what had happened to the man so he could say that. He was very curious to know what he had been missing all along. But certainly Vira is very sure that Yudha has realized everything.

"You're begging me for forgiveness? Something I can't believe. So what's been going on? What have I been missing all this time? Is there something you're aware of, Mom?"

Yudha held back her tears, unwilling to look weak what else this was a public place.

"I just want an answer from you. I'll tell you everything later. I just want you to give me a chance to fix all this as usual. I deeply regret all my actions. Even my mother was very sorry for what she did."
