PENGHALAM
Chapter 79. The Return of Yudha

Vira feels her life is much better now and also feels more comfortable when she manages to get an assistant who is a young woman. The girl seems to have just finished High School and not continued her studies.

She's a friendly and very polite girl. Very good at homework, especially cooking. Even the girl admitted that cooking was her hobby. At least all of this could ease Vira's burden. This way he just needs to focus on the needs of his child. His assistant who yesterday helped Vira in looking after Leon, his son

All that did not escape the efforts of Raka in finding an assistant for Vira. Not just looking, he also ensures that the person who will be hired as an assistant or security in the apartment is a good person. Do not let them attack from within and take advantage of the situation.

"I'm sorry I'm a little late today. My work piled up. There are many things that must be handled in the office" said Raka.

Vira smiled when she saw Raka coming. The man looked a little sweaty. He seems to be very tired.

"Since when did I set the time for Mas to come here to feel late today? They can come whenever they want. I don't feel like I have a problem with that. This is just that I have been very embarrassed because it often bothers Mas," said Vira while giving a pacifier to her baby. Of course not formula milk, but Vira's own ASI that has been pumped.

"I feel you have become my duty, even though we will get married one more month" said Raka.

"I feel like a burden to you, Mom. Though we're just about to inaugurate the wedding next month, but I've been a lot of trouble."

"Don't ever say that again. You and Leon have been my responsibility ever since we decided to get married" Raka said.

Vira feels a burden because all this time, despite being married to her ex, she still finances all her needs with her own money. Because Yudha's salary is only enough to cost the kitchen and her brother Yuni. Even for Yuni, Vira will add to it.

Without thinking about it, it turns out that on that day her ex-husband came with his ex-in-law. Vira felt a little surprised when she heard the sound of the apartment bell ringing. Raka opens the door, while Vira stands behind Raka and sees who is coming.

"Well, what a coincidence you two came. Please enter first," said Raka kindly to Yudha and also Desi's mother. Yudha who saw Raka's face the first time after the door opened was of course shocked.

There was a sense of resentment and jealousy in his heart especially when he saw Vira was behind Raka. He certainly did not accept if Raka who first came to the apartment than him.

In silence Yudha entered the apartment, it would be hard to smile at Vira in this state. At a glance Yudha glanced towards her son who was carried by Vira. His heart immediately melted away for a moment. Seeing that face seemed to change his world in an instant. She who was jealous and angry at Raka, now felt melted after seeing the gentle face of her baby.

"I didn't know that Mas was coming today. Do you want to eat something or what do you want me to do?" vira asked kindly to Yudha. For a moment the man did not answer at all because he was confused what to say. He felt too awkward when there was Raka there. He feels like he's a stranger here even though he's the biological father of the baby.

"Um, it's okay. I just wanted to see you. I miss this baby too. I want to hold her for a moment. That's if you let me."

Vira smiled at Yudha's reply. He glanced at his former mother-in-law. Feeling a little pity when he realized that there was great hope in the eyes of the woman in order to hold the baby Vira. And of course she let Desi's mom carry her baby. She was Leon's grandmother.

Desi's mother felt very happy but said nothing. He felt that his current feelings could not be described in any sentence, even for the best poet or literary man in the world.

She held the baby away from there, providing a comfortable and cool place for the baby. Yudha, Vira, and Raka were sitting in the living room.

"He's the new assistant in this house. Raka chose him as an assistant here. Raka said that I would be a little troubled when doing homework alone and in the state of my baby is still two months old. He also hired security to keep this house at night."

Yudha was very hurt to hear what Vira said. Vira even told all of that with a beaming face, showing her happiness after getting a lot of attention from Raka.

Yudha was certainly not willing if this happened to her. He did not want any other man to be a hero to that woman. There is no other hero besides him. She should be the one who cares more about her baby now. Others have no right at all.

"Oh, thank goodness that's the case. At least you should just focus on our child and not worry too much about homework or safety." Yudha, of course, pretended to be happy about it. However, he did not want to disturb the atmosphere. He didn't want any meaningless commotion here at all.

Hearing Yudha say our son is a little jealous in Raka's heart. However, the reply from Vira made her smile again.

"The baby is also growing very healthy. I'm not letting her drink formula for now while I can still breastfeed her. Fortunately my ASI is pretty smooth. All because of the help from Mas Raka's family as well, especially Mama. They let me take a complete break after giving birth so I wouldn't get depressed. Maybe that's the reason I've been able to smoothly breastfeed until now and there's no burden at all."

Vira could not hide her happiness at this time, again unaware that Yudha was hurt by everything she said. Yudha never thought at all that not only did Raka care about his ex-wife, but also the entire family of the man.

Desy's mother also felt slapped hearing Vira's speech. His ex-daughter-in-law continued to praise Raka's mother.

"Did Raka's family come here often?" ask Yudha.

"No, but two months ago, ever since Leon was born, we told Vira to stay home and be cared for by my Mama. So for two months he took a complete break. Many people helped him there. So now it's very easy for her to get back to health after giving birth" Raka replied.

This time it was Raka's turn to answer. Just like Vira, Raka also did not realize that this man in front of her felt very hurt by what they had said since.

"It looks like you and Raka are getting closer" Yudha said.

"Of course we have to get closer because we are getting married in a month" Raka said. Vira looks smiling and sits closer to Raka.

Yudha felt her pride just crumbled. Now he feels very failed as a man who has not been able to make Vira happy. He must accept the fact that Vira is already happy with another man where the family of the man also loves Vira as much as they love their own child.

Yudha recalls her mother's behavior. All of this embarrassed him and he could no longer speak. He felt that he was the most cowardly man in the world. It was as if no more women would be with him and he could not open his heart in this state either, or perhaps forever would never again open his heart.
