The Crown Of The Nine Continents

The Crown Of The Nine Continents
Chapter 141: Unusual Intelligence

Ren's private room was on the topmost level of the entire palace. In other words, Ren's real room was the highest level in the palace itself.

Having an area that allows one to run freely, the rooms are equipped with a wide variety of decorations of very high value. If sold then the price of each decoration will be able to buy one mansion, an impressive comparison.

The room window is designed to face the main gate. The glass installed in the window is the highest quality glass, very clear and strong so that it can withstand several attacks at once.

Appearing from behind the window was a fairly spacious balcony. The scenery presented is the palace courtyard, palace garden, and wilderness on the horizon. It was beautiful to look at regardless of when this scene was seen.

The sun began to rise from the eastern horizon. Light up the world from darkness called night. People began to wake up to do their activities, some were practicing, some were researching, some were even just waking up just to daydream.

But in that room, Ren was still asleep quietly. After all, Ren felt exhausted and ended up falling asleep for one whole night. Then this sleep, will not end for a while because there is something in him that is developing.

......______......

One week has passed. The arrival of the spirits turned the palace into a bustling one under certain conditions. Since the Shade of Spirits was still in its infancy stage, it was still not fully developed into something that could be lived in. That way, the spirits would still stay in the palace for a few days later.

Turning to a private room, seen on the balcony of the room, Ren stared straight at the horizon, thinking about various things at random. During this week she received several letters from the Kingdom of Aulzania which provided quite important information.

For example the news about the emissary of the Lodysna Empire, and the Great Empire of Exousillia which states that the Kingdom of Aulzania is suspected as the mastermind behind the destruction of the Sancteral Holy Kingdom.

Ren slightly did not expect that the olfactory of these two empires was quite sharp. This matter was indeed a little worrying for the Kingdom of Aulzania, but this matter was not trivial, the two empires were unlikely to do anything careless without any evidence.

"Well, the Lodysna Empire is indeed strange, but the Great Empire of Exousillia seems dangerous," Ren told himself.

What kind of power was able to defend the territory of the enormous Great Empire for hundreds of years? They may be very good in strength, but the system of government is also very influential in it. Taking that into account, the Great Empire of Exousillia was definitely very prosperous.

His premonition said there was a special person behind the prosperity of the Great Exousillia Empire, whether it was the emperor or the other higher-ups. What is clear is that they are the main candidates to look out for.

"Hm?"

Ren glanced at the palace garden, where several small children were running around laughing cheerfully. They are like restrained birds that are finally given freedom, what a peaceful sight to behold.

Mixed with a cool breeze, the sound of knocking on the door was heard three times. Making Ren activate the perception of mana in an instant to see who was the one who knocked on the door.

After making sure that it wasn't someone suspicious, Ren replied to the knock with a word that was short but contained a dense and clear meaning.

"Lake in."

Emerging from behind the door was Raytsa who had an awkward expression. Raytsa grasped the rolled up paper and tied it with a red gold rope.

Before speaking, Raytsa earnestly paid his respects to Ren who was still on the balcony of the room. "Your Majesty, I'm sorry if I interfered."

It's not intrusive in the sense that Raytsa has some sort of affair. Unlike if Raytsa visited him only for something as insignificant as obscure pleasantries.

"I know you have business. What'sthat?"

Although the reply was quite cold, but it was no mistake Raytsa saw it as generosity from the highest superiors to the lowly subordinates. After all, the majority of the masters in this world had always acted arbitrarily towards the men, Ren's attitude fell into the gentle category.

"This is the letter that just arrived from the Kingdom of Aulzania. Does Your Majesty want me to read the letter?"

Another letter came from the Kingdom of Aulzania. Ren slightly thought maybe this letter was related to the two empires he had previously thought of. However, there was no special secrecy, letting Raytsa know about it did not matter either.

"Then I'll trouble you to do it."

Raytsa slightly widened his eyes to Ren's unbelievable answer. Honestly, Raytsa thought this letter contained very secret essentials, and now he was given the opportunity to read the letter, and that was what surprised him.

"I understand, " said Raytsa, then he gladly read it all.

"To the honorable Mr. Dirvaren. Regarding the envoys of the two empires who came a few days ago, they kept urging for the Kingdom of Aulzania to act. Even the envoy of the Lodysna Empire dared to threaten to blame the Kingdom of Aulzania for everything that happened to the Sancteral Holy Kingdom. They say when the Kingdom of Aulzania continues to evade, the Kingdom of Aulzania will be declared a criminal, and all other kingdoms on the continent are free to attack it. Mr. Dirvaren, I beg that you be present three days later when the two imperial envoys will ask for the last time. Greetings, King Esdagius of the Kingdom of Aulzania."

Once done Raytsa re-rolled the letter and tied it back up even though it was useless. He glanced at Ren who was still turning his back, and vaguely felt a little uncomfortable, as if the air felt heavier.

"so. Well, they're acting faster than I thought. After all, I started then I had to finish. Isn't it funny to let someone else's kingdom bear the consequences of my actions, Raytsa?"

Flinched by the sudden question, Raytsa replied to a random flash, "B-Really!"

"Uhm," muttered Ren nodded. "It's been decided I'll go."

"Ah? When will His Majesty leave? Let us come together to give a little knowledge to those who dare to challenge you!" ryadsa was upset.

"No need, I need you all to stay here, you must replace me to protect the spirits."

"But ...."

"No word to argue."

Raytsa's shoulders drooped weakly, command is command. Further objections would be included into the humiliation for his master.

"I understand, Your Majesty."

Raytsa saluted once more to prepare himself who was about to leave. Even in the last second, Raytsa could not see how Ren's expression was when faced with a seemingly heavy problem.

Of course because of this severe problem Raytsa undoes his intention to ask something. Raytsa assured himself that next time there would definitely be a chance for him to know better.

"I'm leaving, Your Honor."

"Raytsa, listen ... I'll talk."

Hearing that Raytsa hurriedly pulled away, and faced Ren back. He focused on hearing so that even a single word would not be missed.

For so long Ren looked at the horizon, he finally turned to look at Raytsa who was waiting. Those red eyes instantly glowed, along with streams of mana that seemed to dance around his body.

"Magic has encryption. If the magic encryption is open then the secrets contained within it will be revealed. Magic consists of many patterns of which are interconnected, and continuous in order to create a desired phenomenon."

Ren displays an illustration using mana itself. Amazed by the never-bored sight to behold, Raytsa set eyes, ears and mind to capture everything.

"In this case, which pattern describes a characteristic feature of a particular effect. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Darkness, they had their own extremely complex mana patterns. If you want to create wind and fire magic, then you should be able to unify thousands of different mana patterns from the wind element, as well as fire."

As a person who is teaching, Ren not only gave an explanation in the form of words but proved it at that time as well. Raytsa's highly exalted creation of magic occurred before his eyes, starting from the arrangement of intricate and small mana patterns, until a beautiful magic circle was actually created.

"In addition to elements, certain effects also require a definite pattern. For example, a lightning magic will propagate to another target after hitting the first target, then to create the effect requires a pattern where [Replacement] is mounted on the last effect of the magic circle."

Raytsa was unnerved, even after being described as short and as easy as possible to understand it was difficult to understand everything that had been said. Luckily real examples are shown in addition to just explanations in the form of words, so Raytsa is able to understand in outline.

"Oh, keep in mind that a magic circle will be more complicated and enlarged as the resulting phenomenon increases. To overcome this, you can create several different magic circles that will later be combined and have the same effect."

"S-I'm enlightened, Your Majesty!" Raytsa nodded his head, almost prostrating himself after receiving this explanation.

But there was one thing that stuck in Raytsa's mind, about how Ren spontaneously cast a magic without having to use a magic circle first. Based on the above explanation, all matters concerning magic must, and always have to do with the magic circle to create a phenomenon.

"Y-Your Majesty, may I ask you two things?"

Ren's contact omits all of his real illustrations of magic creation. It made Raytsa grimace at the thought of how unfortunate something as valuable as that was to be removed just like that.

"I don't mind. What do you want to ask?"

Raytsa thought deeply, then said confidently, "Sometimes I see you doing a new magic spontaneously without creating any magic circle. Of course this is a little contrary to your explanation just now which seems to say all sorts of magic must have a magic circle to make it happen. Please Your Majesty give me enlightenment."

"Oh?" Ren remembered something. "Yes, that's right. Magic is closely related to magic circles. However, not all magic must have magic circles manifested in it."

"Magic circle materialized?"

"Yes, the magic circle materialized it could be seen and felt its existence. In simple terms, the magic circle materializes only an intermediary to facilitate the use of the same magic at a later time."

"I'm sorry for my stupidity, Your Majesty. I'm begging you to give you an easier-to-understand enlightenment."

Still don't understand?!

Ren was a little confused as to how to explain something so complicated as to be easy to understand. His brain was thinking of looking for something that could liken this realized magic circle.

"Ah, here. When you want to draw, before you cross something on paper you must think about what to draw first, right?"

Raytsa nodded quickly.

"The "realized magic circle can be likened to an image that has been on paper. Whereas what I use is something that is still in the mind, and still in the form of a temporary shadow. Then, do you know what it's useful for someone to describe their imagination on paper?"

Raytsa twisted the brain, and concluded on a simple answer. "To last forever? Or perhaps, to keep his imagination?"

"Mhm, more or less like that. You don't always have to use a realizable magic circle to do magic, but instead you have to be able to string that magic circle in a very short time without experiencing the slightest mistake."

"I-That's not possible." Raytsa looks gloomy.

Let alone creating new magic directly, even the research he did had not made significant progress.

"No need to be discouraged. In fact, I had to do endless research to find out everything I said."

"really? Thank you, Your Majesty. I'll try harder."

"A good spirit. So what's the second question?"

"Eh, that includes one?" Raytsa.

Raytsa asked permission to ask twice actually to anticipate if there was something he did not understand. That way, the possibility of getting deeper enlightenment would be greater. But he didn't think that after all Ren still considered the question only one.

"Of course," Ren replied without a burden.

Raytsa immediately searched for random ideas among the most random, until when one curious question appeared in his mind. "Your Majesty, with all the results of that incredible research, how long have you been researching?"

Ren held his chin while estimating how long he had been researching magic in this world. Then with a very ordinary expression, he retorted to Raytsa, "I guess .. one or two months?"

"A-Ap- ...?"

Raytsa's eyes were wide open, then he accidentally lost consciousness as a result of the shock he experienced. Ren who was a little confused at that time did not know what to do, and in the end he chose to run away.
