Chapter 153: The Unpleasant Invitation

Armilein affirmed the third question as if the imperial side did not impose a will against the Kingdom of Aulzania. Instead of deciding everything on his own, the empire sent an invitation to King Esdagius to negotiate directly.

Though as everyone knew, the emperor of the Great Empire Exousillia was very secretive. Some important people in the empire were not even allowed to meet directly with the emperor.

Clearly that behavior hinted at the pride of a leader from the strongest region in the Zachen Continent. Suppose the empire wanted to commit aggression against other regions, then anyone would not seek to resist rather than feel suffering.

Fortunately, the emperor's personality is limited to keeping secrets, and does not have a great ambition to seize the power of other regions weaker than him.

So with all these facts, why did the emperor now take the initiative to meet directly with King Esdagius who was the leader of an ordinary kingdom? If limited access to the Loudeas Forest, King Esdagius would receive it even though sent by letter of formality or emissaries such as Armilein.

"The "clearly hidden intention. What do they really want?" Ren wondered.

No, perhaps more precisely what was inside the Loudeas Forest that they looked so interested? There is a possibility that this interest was born from the source of the power spoken of by Devaran, but it does not rule out the possibility that it came from something else.

"Is that ... my palace? If that's true, why would my palace attract their attention?"

Ren could not stop thinking about it.

Armilein responded with a slow nod. The time said by King Esdagius is indeed the most ideal time after considering everything including the bustle of the emperor.

"Alright, I will convey this to His Majesty the Emperor. Maybe in the time you have mentioned, the vehicle we sent will come to pick you up, please always get ready."

The main problem has been solved. Armilein who was trying to act calm and graceful now stopped doing so and stared cynically at Ren who was sitting quietly in peace.

"Our problem is solved here. Then, can you explain to us all what happened before?"

"Oh! Does that mean Miss Armilein thinks all three questions are answered perfectly and satisfactorily?!" ask King Esdagius girang.

Armilein turned to her, "Of course, but these two problems are different things. His Imperial Majesty did indeed exonerate the Kingdom of Aulzania from the charges, but not for this man."

"But, wasn't that a well-answered question?" King Esdagius seemed reluctant to accept it.

"Your Majesty, please think wisely. We have released the Kingdom of Aulzania from the charge, or are you indeed conspiring with it in the destruction of the Sancteral Holy Kingdom?"

"Th-That's ...."

King Esdagius felt a great dilemma between siding with the greatest empire, or Anryzel Dirvaren who was a Monarch? Both are equally strong and there is no certainty which is better.

But now that he thought that Anryzel Dirvaren had saved the entire population of Aulzania City, that person must have a strong reason why the Sancteral Holy Kingdom was destroyed.

After all, wasn't it the job of a Monarch to guard the continent he belonged to? Could it be that the Sanctarial Holy Kingdom did something unforgivable so that the destruction was the result of their own deeds?

"That's enough" said Ren.

"King Esdagius, do not forget the fact that you are still a king here. Although this woman is a great messenger but her position is under you, do not humble yourself and humiliate yourself."

King Esdagius immediately smiled bitterly. Since his meeting with Ren in the past now he does not feel that high as a king that makes him sometimes forget to maintain his dignity.

"A-You're right, it looks like I'm humbling myself too much."

Armilein looked at the conversation with an annoyed look as the man did not even answer her orders to explain the situation. But what the man said was true, the position of a king was still high so that even a great messenger was not allowed to behave arbitrarily.

Indirectly Ren also touched on the rules discussed by Armilein. When someone who has a lower position than a king shows disrespectful behavior in front of the king, the toughest punishment given is death.

Being aware of that fact made Armilein flinch, and ponder over what she had done. In fact, what Ren did was the right thing, which was to punish the ignorant in front of a king

But still, Ren's attitude and behavior were also disrespectful in front of a king so Armilein had reason to corroborate his argument later. Armilein thought there was no way for Ren to escape the punishment that would be given to her.

"Heh, you will receive punishment for insulting me!" armilein in the Heart.

Ren saw the change in expression hidden on Armilein's face. He guessed that Armilein was thinking something bad about him, but it was a pity that Armilein's thoughts would not seem to be fulfilled.

It's a pity that Armilein and some unbelievers consider that part of the force to be mere nonsense, and some parts of the story are exaggerated deliberately.

Armilein then smiled cynically, and insinuated Ren's story as if he was just a braggart, "Hahaha, are you dreaming? Destroying Divine level magic using an ordinary sword? It doesn't make sense!" armilein couldn't believe it.

"Then, why am I still alive?" reply Ren cold.

They think, right too!

Everyone gave the same response in their hearts. If Ren was indeed a braggart, then how could he have survived a Lorei capable of using Divine level magic?

They all also saw dozens of meteors splitting the sky so there was no doubt that Lorei was indeed capable of using Divine level magic.

"So you want me to believe what you're saying that doesn't make sense?"

Armilein was still firm in her belief to refute. Since the rebuttal that was thrown out had already entered the realm of unreasonableness, Ren did not intend to explain in words anymore.

"[Blood Prison Cube]"

Armilein was instantly encased by a transparent red cube. This made his bodyguards panic and enter battle mode. Everyone there was surprised not to play, including Nivania who felt alien to the red cube.

"T-Mister Dirvaren! Please don't put it to heart, however he's still a messenger I need to respect!"

King Esdagius cried out desperately for consideration because he knew that this red cube was not something good. He still remembers when Ren was doing inhumane torture inside this terrible red cube.

"There's nothing I need to say anymore" Ren said expressionlessly.

Then Ren jumped out back through the window of the meeting room with Armilein who was in the red cube following him. They flew at high speed towards the Loudeas Forest where Ren and Lorei started the fight.

Along the way Armilein yells giving a mockery containing harsh words and threats for Ren to let go. However, as we know that the barking dog is not so valuable as to make the king listen to him.
