The Crown Of The Nine Continents

The Crown Of The Nine Continents
Chapter 167: Knight Training

The hourglass has shown that Anryzel's teaching time is coming to an end. Anryzel who was giving an explanation realized it then decided to end the class immediately.

"Enough to get here. Tomorrow is the battle test. I hope you guys prepare well."

The class bell then chimed. A mark made by the academy as a barrier from one lesson to another. All the hero class disciples simultaneously stood up, then they bowed and said together.

"Thank you for the guidance today, Professor!"

Anryzel used hand gestures to respond to them. Partly because he was too busy to reply to them officially, and partly because he was in a hurry.

The disciples did not mind it, they had received a very good lesson today. Such a small thing would not make them become angry at Anryzel's behavior.

"See you tomorrow, Professor."

"Hm."

"See you, Professor."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Professor, I can't wait for tomorrow!"

"Then don't wait."

Anryzel returned the words of the students who walked out of the classroom. Twenty-seven disciples had come out, and now only three were left there.

Anryzel felt a little bothered by the existence of the three of them who continued to pay attention to him. Instead of leaving the room quickly, they instead kept quiet while staring at him working.

"Why are you still silent?"

The three students, Etharez, Laishena and Ferlin, approached Anryzel after being asked why they had not left the class.

"Ahh .. that. Professor, you need help? It's not good to see someone like you doing all this alone."

Prince Etharez looked awkward and depressed. An unpleasant taste naturally surfaced in him when he saw that someone revered by the king should do this kind of work alone.

Seeing Anryzel so diligent in his work almost made Etharez forget that he was someone who could shake the entire kingdom in one fell swoop. That cold and cruel-tending man was now pretending to be an ordinary professor, who wouldn't feel strange upon seeing him?

But Etharez does not know the facts about Anryzel's true self. When Anryzel decides to do a job, then he will be serious in doing it.

Moreover, this job was an agreement he had made together with the king and the nobles. Although it looks trivial, Anryzel still has to keep the deal as a person of dignity.

"No need. Don't underestimate me for a small job. You better go home and learn better."

Prince Etharez is feeling bad. However, forcing herself to help Anryzel would not make the atmosphere better, so she chose to say goodbye and immediately left the room.

Now that Etharez is gone, all that's left are Laishena and Ferlin. The two of them did not speak, or cause an uproar, but their own existence was quite disturbing to Anryzel's work.

Anryzel gave a small peck while holding her forehead and then asked the two of them, "So why are you still here?"

Then Laishena suddenly asked back, "Professor, are you the incarnation of a god?"

A shocking question just came out of Laishena's mouth. Both Anryzel and Ferlin who were beside Laishena frowned at this strange and unclear question.

"No. Why would you ask such a thing?"

Laishena sighed then argued, "Because only Professor is the only human being who can create magic. So I thought, you must be the incarnation of a god."

Anryzel shook her head, put down the document she was reading, crossed her arms and denied Laishena's words believing she was an incarnation of a god.

"If I am a god, then there is no need to bother teaching you. I just need to give you a blessing, and you'll be someone great."

Laishena who heard the rebuttal looked dissatisfied, but she could not say more because Anryzel had already held back her words using her raised hand.

"It has. Let someone else get their turn."

Laishena looked towards Ferlin until she finally realized that there was one more person waiting. Though dissatisfied, Laishena obediently let someone else take a turn and say goodbye and walked out of the room.

Anryzel made sure Laishena was gone. After that he smiled at Ferlin as he felt that it had been quite a while since the last time they met. Perhaps among the other students in the hero class, Ferlin was the first one so as to elicit a feeling of nostalgia?

"For so long as you don't see, how are you?"

Ferlin looked awkward in speaking. In reality, even though they had known each other for quite some time but their closeness was not to a high degree that it required a great deal of courage for Ferlin to talk again with Anryzel.

"I-it .. Thank you for pretending not to recognize me, and sorry for everything, Teacher Ren."

Ferlin felt guilty for not greeting Anryzel sooner. Ferlin was worried that if the other students knew of Anryzel, there would be some unwanted things.

Anryzel knew what Ferlin meant, but let's put the matter aside because there's one thing that's most important for him to say to Ferlin.

"Please call me "Anryzel" from now on. Because of some things, the call is no longer fun."

Ferlin only tilted his head as he felt a little confused, especially at the word "Non-pleasing" Anryzel had just mentioned.

"A-ah, fine." Ferlin gave his consent.

Anryzel smiled with satisfaction. Now there were only a few people who might call him with the old call. But that's okay, there's still a chance that they might change their call to Anryzel.

Then regarding Ferlin, maybe he was deliberately waiting for the other disciple to come out first because there was something he wanted to say? In that case, it most likely had to do with the previous magic lesson.

"What do you think of his class today? I do believe myself to have done well, but for reference the opinion of a disciple is still necessary."

Anryzel directed the topic at the previous class with the aim that Ferlin was more straightforward. This he did because he suspected Ferlin had a certain problem with his magic ability.

But apparently, Ferlin seemed to think hard just to answer it. This response was inversely proportional to the hope of Anryzel who at that time imagined Ferlin would talk about all his problems smoothly and without hesitation.

"What's wrong? My class is that bad, isn't it?"

Ferlin flinched, then quickly shook his head.

"No, no! It's just .. I never thought that Teacher Anryzel was a much greater figure than I thought. The lesson was also very fun, we as students of magic class really learned a lot!"

Seeing such high enthusiasm from Ferlin made Anryzel feel relieved. It is not wrong anymore, the class has been going so well that the students also get many valuable lessons.

"I'm glad to hear it" Anryzel said sincerely.

Anryzel's pleasure creeps in Ferlin who is immediately happy and full of motivation. Ferlin was determined to put in even more effort, and did not disappoint the hopes of Anryzel who wanted the hero class to be the turning point for the future development of the Aulzania Academy.

"Yes!" Nod Ferlin with spirit. "Oh yes ... Teacher Anryzel, b-can you give me some advice to perfect my abilities?"

Anryzel thought for a moment, then said hesitantly. "Isn't your skill a fire element?"

Ferlin gave a nod as confirmation.

"Hm ... advice huh? I'm actually pretty hard at things like this. Do you have a specific clue which part you want to refine?"

Ferlin seemed to put a finger between his lips, and stared up at the sky of the room. Even if Anryzel asked her to point out more specifics, she was at a loss where to start!

"I, I'm not sure myself, Teacher."

"Huh ...?" Anryzel seemed astonished by Ferlin's uncertainty over his own shortcomings.

When Anryzel wanted to ask that further, someone walked into the room in a hasty step. It was Nivania still maintaining her blushing red face.

"A-Anryzel, it's been time - .. uh, why are there still students here?" Nivania was shocked, and did not expect that there would be any students left in the classroom.

Thinking that the student had also witnessed the embarrassing thing earlier, Nivania was anxious to escape for the second time, but that feeling she endured to protect her honor as Assistant Professor.

While Anryzel did not seem to pay much attention to Nivania's expression that held in shame. Anryzel focused more on explaining to Nivania why Ferlin was still in the room when the others had disbanded.

"Oh, just ask for some advice for magic abilities. Why are you in such a hurry, is it time?"

"Yes, the knights are waiting for you."

Anryzel closed his eyes, thinking of the best solution so that Ferlin's problem could be overcome without making it too late to come to the training of the knights. After a moment of thought, Anryzel did not think of a proper solution other than delaying Ferlin's problem until another time.

"Murid Ferlin, I'm sorry. There are some obligations that cannot be left behind. Please let the student understand, then next time I will discuss the magic with you."

Ferlin rounded his eyes and recalled that Nivania did not know the two of them had known each other for quite a long time. Therefore, Ferlin behaved like a student who really asked his teacher for advice.

"No problem, Professor. I could take a chance next time."

The three of them then left the room, leaving behind a quiet and empty classroom. Anryzel and Nivania move towards the knight training ground, at the same time as well, Ferlin decides to return to his usual class.

.............

The training grounds of the Knights of Aulzania were nothing more than a luxurious barracks, and a vast field. Several adequate facilities for conducting combat exercises are available there, such as a wide variety of weapons of various sizes, to equipment that allows the knights to stay safe while doing the exercises.

The barracks could hold up to over a hundred people at a time. Everyone had their own rooms equipped with the most comfortable facilities among the other royal forces.

With this kind of configuration, it was already conceivable not how vast the land required, and it cost how much just to manage the barracks and guarantee the lives of the knights.

In exchange for preferential treatment and a high reputation, the Knights of Aulzania are required to have sufficient abilities to guarantee the safety of the kingdom. They are required to become stronger, become more agile, become more responsive, and become role models of other government forces in eradicating existing problems in the community.

Since the rights and obligations that were shouldered were enormous, it was no wonder one had to have sufficient qualifications to be accepted into the ranks of the knights.

But lately, their qualifications as knights began to be doubted by the community. Protest after protest was complained by the public, both directly to the royal family and through the intermediary of the nobles. The public firmly complained about the deteriorating performance of the knights.

The knights always arrive late when trouble occurs. Even when they come at the right time, sometimes their abilities are not enough to deal with the problem. That is the main problem of the existence of knights who are declining reputation.

Because the knights were an army that was directly under the command of the king and the loyal nobles, then the performance of the knights that worsened could be used as an excuse for the traitors of the kingdom to start a rebellion.

King Esdagius did not want that to happen, nor did the nobles who remained loyal to the kingdom. For them, the peace and prosperity of the kingdom was more important than themselves.

It was this alarming situation, which led Anryzel to intervene directly in the field at the request of the kingdom. Anryzel was asked to restore the knight's qualification which was progressively declining in performance.

Not only that, Anryzel was also given the highest rank in the royal military, which signified that the Knights of Aulzania would be under his guidance. Each knight was required to obey Anryzel's orders as long as it did not violate the rules, morals, and ethics that prevailed.

They should respect Anryzel well, regard him as a competent coach, and are expected not to cause unnecessary trouble.

King Esdagius firmly declared that whoever caused trouble first to Anryzel, then the punishment given would be no worse than death. This order gave an indication of how important it was for the knights to remain respectful, and obey Anryzel's orders with a few exceptions.

Arriving Anryzel in the field, all the knights who had prepared were immediately lined up neatly forming a straight line. They are strong, like a soldier who is coming from the most important superior in an army.

During the training period, the knights were not allowed to speak except for Derrian who was the representative of all the existing knights, or was given permission directly by Anryzel to speak. This command is done to minimize debates that are not needed.

And also, Derrian still had restrictions on speaking. The things that Derrian had to talk about were the most important, among the most important. Then if it doesn't fall into the essentials, and Derrian speaks, it would be considered against the rules.

"Derrian. How many knights are present at this time?" anryzel asked firmly.

Derrian took one step forward, saluted while bowing then spoke firmly. "Ready. One hundred and twenty-five people were present from one hundred and fifty people overall!"

The style of speaking, and the motions performed by Derrian seemed very similar to the military training style that existed on Earth. There are only a few strange parts caused by the combination of two habits, from two different worlds, that are too forced to merge.

Yeah, that's right.

Anryzel was the one who proposed this kind of training style. Anryzel also gave himself the title of supreme military, and gave orders to all troops to call him a general.

It cannot be helped, if the strange desire of Anryzel appears suddenly, then that's when the absurdity will appear together with him.

"Why are twenty-five people absent? Answer!"

Derrian replied again firmly, "Ready. Those left have affairs that cannot be left behind, General!"

Anryzel then looked at the few people lined up. They looked extremely tense with pale faces as this kind of training was very foreign in their eyes. Moreover, the tension was increasingly becoming, when an Anryzel who became his coach.

"Alright, get back in your line! Now is basic training from the base. We will start everything from scratch, building a solid physical foundation to be sufficient enough to withstand the weight of the battle that may come! Are you guys ready? Answer me out loud!"

One hundred and twenty-five people answered simultaneously, "Ready, General!"

Anryzel nodded once, then gave the order to warm up. "As a warm-up, start running around the field a hundred times in thirty minutes! You guys hear that? Do now!"

The knights rounded their eyes in disbelief, but Anryzel's cruel and cynical look and gaze frightened them so much that they did not want to defy orders any longer.

They started running consecutively at full speed to surround that vast field. No one attempted to protest because the penalty of breaking the order was a very severe punishment and there was no leniency in it.

Thirty minutes later, the knight who was in the last position managed to make a full hundred rounds with great effort. Even so, Anryzel does not provide lightening at all because this is only limited to heating.

"Enough rest! Now do push ups a thousand times,****up a thousand times, and squats a thousand times!"

All the knights gulped their saliva, imagining that the first training was already hard like this, then what about the next training? Some of the female knights who had weaker physical condition than men let out tears from exhaustion.

This is one of the shortcomings possessed by the ksartia according to Anryzel's observation. Although they had good abilities in terms of physique, magic, weapon use, and fighting abilities, but none of those aspects were upgraded to a higher stage.

Their physical flaws were already used to being covered by reinforcement magic. Their fatigue was already used to being covered by stamina recovery magic. It makes them weak when no one can use recovery magic.

If one day they are in a desperate state, then what can be expected of those who cannot even last long without recovery magic?

But Derrian who saw signs of deteriorating mental health among the knights began to speak up. He seemed to have yet to realize that their flaws were being corrected by the physical training provided by Anryzel.

"Sorry to interrupt, General! Some knights would experience pain if they overextended themselves in an extreme change of training all of a sudden!"

Anryzel responded to Derrian with a cold look. "Is that? I should have known as a coach better about your condition. Take it easy, if anyone among you reaches his limit, I will guarantee the safety of that person and help him immediately."

The knights gulped their own spit, once again. The pressure exerted by Anryzel's gaze was so intimidating, even if they wanted to fight back and break orders, then it couldn't be done at all!

All the knights forced themselves to carry out orders. Most of the men could only endure the fatigue, and the pain all over their bodies was in a state of silence. While the women, all of them were training in a state of shedding tears of pain.

One by one they fell, and reached the limit their bodies could reach. When that happens, Anryzel calls Nivania to take care of them and rescue them.

Of course Nivania did this not out of her own will, but on the basis of Anryzel's request emphasizing the word "Saint" in her request.

Now out of the one hundred and twenty-five ksartia that practiced, only twenty people remained standing. Despite holding on, they actually forced themselves to show more decent qualifications than others.

At that moment, they thought that the physical training of today would be coming to an end as they could endure to the end. However, their hopes are shown to be betrayed by the grisly smile of Anryzel who instantly gives them a desperate command.

"Now, do my command once more until your body reaches its limit!"

They finally realized that from the beginning, Anryzel did intend to make them tortured to unconsciousness. Under the pretext of providing life and death training, Anryzel temporarily removed the pity in her.

No matter if the knight was a woman, a brother, or even his own lover, he would not grant any leniency!

That's how the hell training goes on.

Author Note :

For those of you who had time to comment in the form of "Please up not too long" or the like. I thank you for still waiting for this story even though the update is erratic, and tends to be long even up to several months.

This old update is not without reason. Many factors that make me unable to write or type such as the busyness factor in the real world. Almost fifty percent of the reasons I don't update it are because of the real world, but fifty percent more can be for other reasons, and the most powerful is the lack of motivation to write.

Sometimes I plan to update. Suppose today, but because there was no motivation at all, the update was finally undone. Or when I have motivation, even no inspiration, finally canceled again.

Well the point is, when there are all supporting factors for writing, I must update really.

So I present a wise but unwise sentence, a pearl sentence but worthless, and this beautiful but boong sentence to anyone who joins and accidentally reads it:

"Imagination sometimes makes us happy, and eventually forgets the real world. But the real world, it'll never fit our imaginations."

See you later, 3
