Chapter 145: Behind the Assault

Rusava enters battle mode. His hand extended upwards to summon a scythe enveloped by a dense blood-red aura. Strength surged up, and slowly that red aura strengthened his basic stats.

"This is a sense of power!" exciting Rusava.

The sentence had ended, Rusava hurtled towards the three brothers while swinging his scythe firmly in a horizontal form. In the middle of the swing, Rusava added his blue flame so that the swing produced a fire wave that attacked first.

Facing the ferocity of the high-temperature flames, Kogia blocked the flames by using an equivalent attack. A violent explosion occurred shortly after the two attacks clashed to annihilate each other.

Smog enveloping the surrounding environment was used by Rusava to attack Kogia. His figure that emerged from behind the fog instantly shook off the scythe, trying to cut off Kogia's body.

But with quick reflexes, Kogia managed to dodge the deadly attack by looking down. As soon as the scythe passed through his body, Kogia launched a counterattack in the form of a super-fast stab.

No one expected such an attack would end it all. Rusava easily blocked that simple attack using his sickle handle.

For a moment Kogia lost her balance because the super-fast, power-filled stab was just bent. Luckily Kogia was still able to perform emergency maneuvers so Rusava could not make good use of the opportunity.

As Rusava was about to catch up with Kogia and attack him again, Watan appeared from behind. In a frontal fashion, Hiran launched dozens of fire-coated fists that produced small explosions each time Rusava blocked it.

Rusava was surprised by the effect of the resulting explosion, forcing himself to be pushed back bit by bit. The opportunity was not left alone, Kogia and Murga also helped Miran in the battle.

Turning to a semi-air battle, Rusava must now confront the invading Irans and Kogia together. Rusava is increasingly bothered when Murga is constantly providing assistance in the form of arrows that he cannot ignore.

Rusava is increasingly cornered when Watan installs several trap magic circles on the battlefield. It will automatically activate when Rusava passes through, or is close to it so that the inevitable explosions continue to occur.

"Flame Explosion!!"

Sixteen consecutive explosions prevented Rusava from moving freely. Then Murga took advantage of this opportunity to release his ultimate shot in a row.

Two cross slashes were launched, creating a pitch-black energy blade gliding flying at Rusava. That powerful barrage of attacks not only sealed off Rusava's escape path, but it also had the possibility of killing him.

Rusava tried to find a way out, he thought very hard. Even for him it was impossible to withstand many powerful attacks at once, escaping being compounded would be difficult due to the traps set up by Miran.

A deafening massive explosion is created when all attacks meet at once. The impact of the explosion caused a powerful wave that resembled a nuclear bomb explosion on a smaller scale.

The attack destroyed most of the forest area, making the forest covered with trees now turned into a hot and arid wasteland.

Miran and Murga gave the same reaction. Their shock did not stop there, after the fog disappeared completely they were made to gap with the existence of someone they thought was dead was still alive.

Their hearts refused to accept this terrible reality. How not, someone who has been considered extinct is still alive and in very healthy conditions.

There were no injuries, not even the clothes he was wearing had the slightest damage. It naturally destroyed their confidence, and now a feeling of worry, fear, and weakness filled all three bodies.

"Do you think the same?" ask Kogia back.

"Okay, maybe if it's true we can negotiate with him?" Murga gave a proposal.

The conversation of the three of them went into Ren's ears, making his forehead wrinkle with annoyance. A cold and heartless tone appeared, as if it was the sound of a death call.

"Free, there's no chance for you to negotiate with me."

Ren stepped up with certainty, approaching the three brothers calmly and grippingly. Rusava, Avrogan, and Indacrus followed him quietly and without a sound.

"G-Wire, we have to escape!" shouts Wonderful.

Kogia and Murga nodded in agreement, they started to take a step back to run but it was all in vain. Their steps were restrained, their movements restricted, and the three had been locked up in a semi-transparent red cube.

"Running away from me is just an illusion" Ren said with a gaze filled with powerful killing intent.

Watan clenched his hands, and then dealt a punch containing Flame Explosion magic with the intention of destroying the red cube that locked them away. However, the attack foolishly failed and exploded inside the cube, injuring themselves.

"Heh, even the rats in my palace are smarter than you."

It was just a word of sarcasm. How could his palace be inhabited by rats? Even if one of them lived, Ren would instantly exterminate them mercilessly.

Realizing all attempts at escape would be futile, Kogia who led the team tried to speak out for mercy. Something like self-esteem no longer cared about him.

"T-Master .. forgive us. Can't you just give mercy and forgive the three of us?"

"Hey, Kogia!" shouts Wonder not to accept.

"St! Shut up, Miracle!" snapped Murga.

Ren continued to walk regardless of the plea or dispute between the three of them. Arriving before the red cube, he smiled in a way that gave people goosebumps.

"S-Everything! We'll give you all the treasure we have!"

The atmosphere was enveloped by a momentary silence, and it felt quite terrible for Kogia, and Murga, except for the deep-hearted Wonder who was still reluctant to give up because of her high self-esteem.

Simultaneously a chair similar to a throne was formed from a blood red aura seeping around his body. Ren then sat on the emergency throne while crossing his legs arrogantly.

Astonished, Kogia, and Murga were irritated by the arrogant attitude, but since they were not in a position capable of resisting then all they could do was remain silent in annoyance.

"M-Each of us has a beautiful and comfortable luxury home. Not only that, my entire fortune could reach 190,000 gold coins."

"I ... have 154,000 gold coins," he said in a statement.

The three of them revealed the treasures each one possessed. Ren smiled greedily at it, then without much further ado he asked once more.

"Hehehe, a decent amount. Where is your house?"

The three brothers heaved a sigh of relief, they were now able to calm down because they already knew that the enemy this time could be bought using money. Just a few hundred thousand gold coins and a house, it was not worth their own lives.

"The house is in the Lodysna Empire. The place is also very strategic because it is in the capital. How, Master? Not a bad deal, is it?" Kogia told me frankly.

Kogia revealed the secret as if it had no burden. It was triggered by the belief that he would soon die, after all he was sick of being ruled by such an arbitrary supreme leader.

Following Kogia's explanation, Murga gave more details as to who it was [The Four Sovereigns] who were the top players of the Cothenic game.

"[The Four Sovereigns] consisted of four people who occupied the top of the Cothenic. Sir, you should know what that means, right? They are Nezy, Gen-Z, Casmeus, and last Devaran."

Kogia chimed in, "They ordered the three of us to browse through this forest in search of the source of the great power that Devaran felt. Anyway, we're just a preliminary reviewer meant to look for basic information on this forest."

Then, Miran who from the beginning was silent smiled with vengeance. This attitude of his did not at all indicate that he had given up, instead looking like someone who was challenging death.

Kogia trembled violently, as did Murga, they simultaneously prostrated to ask for leniency.

"T-Master, I beg for mercy by killing us without such torture!"

"Lord, give a wonder also of mercy. He had no intention of saying that, he was just the origin of the talk, I can vouch for it!" kogia Pinta.

Ren watched the three of them closely. Then, a harmless smile appeared, and was followed by the decision he had made.

"Your request, I can't grant it."

The finger was heard three times. During that time, Miran was subjected to intense torture in which each flick would make part of her limbs explode and be torn apart by the red thorns that appeared from within her.

Countless times Miran screamed in pain and rolled around while slamming her body into the cube barrier. Only that was clear, when Ren healed Miracle for the last time, the light of life had disappeared from his eyes.

"If you have a little bit of a sincere heart then I will give you easy forgiveness."

NAH!

The last flick destroyed the entire body of Watan. Now, the wonder has been completely annihilated in a very miserable state. As friends, Kogia and Murga can only witness in the final anguish of an extremely painful Miracle life.

"You two, come with me and explain everything you know!"

Ren rises from the throne and orders Avrogan to return to his former form. A cold chill filled the backs of Kogia and Murga shortly after realizing that the two animals they thought were ordinary [Beast Servants] turned out to be just as powerful as Rusava.

"From the start, we couldn't have won?" muttered Kogia while imagining what kind of fate he would accept.
