CHAPTER 24. Fine dining

Questions arise in Stefan's mind as he climbs the stairs to the second floor of the Vallkyrie Club restaurant. The young man was seen bowing his head staring at every step of the stairs he was on, but the main focus of his mind was centered on Dian.

Isn't Dian an orphan girl? Why Dian can get along with two young men who clearly see their standing status including high.

Although Stefan does not know Leon and Billy, but he often saw the two young men present at the dinner of fellow businessmen so it can be ascertained Billy also has a high position in one company.

Rizky pointed towards the dining table next to Dian's entourage's dining table. Rizky paddled her feet through Dian's desk and deliberately pulled her chair hard before sitting there.

Stefan could only shake his head following Rizky and sit down quietly.

"This is your menu!" the waiter said, handing the two menus over to Rizky and Stefan.

Rizky held onto the restaurant menu while glancing towards Dian's desk. Dian and her four friends were chatting and there was clearly a cheerful laughing voice.

Rizky's hands shook tightly gripping the restaurant menu. The arrogant man realizes his appearance and Stefan is ignored by Dian's entourage again.

"I followed their orders," Rizky said to the restaurant waiter while pointing at Dian's dinner table.

"Good sir. Mr. Billy ordered this set of fine dining menus," replied the restaurant's waiter, showing him the food ordered by Billy.

"Billy's loyalty, really" Rizky muttered when he saw the set price of a fine dining menu ordered by Billy reached one million per person.

"Did you order it?" asked the restaurant waiter with a friendly smile.

"of course. I ordered two, "Rizky replied and turned to Stefan.

"Fa! I'm the one who bought the dinner tonight" said Rizky in a voice loud enough to be heard by Dian and his friends.

"Good sir. Food will be served when ready," replied the waiter and left Rizky's desk.

A while later Stefan advanced his body closer to Rizky.

"Rizkiy. You know Billy?" stefan asked in a small voice, which only Rizky could hear.

"Of course, Fan! He's Billy Tatum" Rizky replied in an equally small voice.

"Tatum Company?" ask Stefan.

"Yes," Rizky replied as she nodded her head.

Tatum company is one of the 10 big companies in Bali decades ago. Although now Tatum Company is not growing rapidly like Wijaya Company and Adinata Company which has many subsidiaries.

The Bramasta company founded by Stefan's grandfather decades ago was not included in the 10 major companies at the time. It's just that since it was taken over by Stefan, Bramasta Company has advanced rapidly in the past five years and its main rival is Jayanata Company.

Stefan and Rizky stopped their conversation because the waiter came to arrange silverware, which is a cutlery in the form of spoons, forks, and cutlery, and knives on each table with different sizes adjusted to the type of food ordered.

Stefan and Rizky look towards Dian's table, which is starting to be served appetizers. Billy who was sitting right next to Dian took the napkin in front of the young girl and opened it wide and placed it on Dian's lap first before opening his own napkin.

"Thank you Billy" said Dian.

"Sama-sama princess," Billy said as he looked at Dian with sparkling eyes.

"Basically a playboy," Rizky grumbled in her heart to see Billy's attitude that was considerate to Dian, while Stefan's face was getting cold and grim.

When Dian and her friends enjoyed the appetizer, Rizky and Stefan opened the napkin wide and placed it on their lap because their appetizers were served on the table.

The menu is served in small portions, but presented with a very interesting presentation. The main meal will be served after the appetizer is spent. And also with dessert.

It is not surprising that fine dining can take hours.

Rizky is increasingly upset to see Dian eat elegantly and understand the table manner using silverware right for each type of food.

As the beef steak was served on the table, Sherina raised her glass of red wine so slowly that Dian and the others raised the glass of red wine.

"Cheers!" sherina.

"Cheers!" reply Dian, Natasha, Leon, and Billy together.

The five of them enjoyed the red wine and drank it slowly.

Billy cut the beef steak in front of him into small pieces, then placed it in front of Dian after taking Dian's still-intact cow steak.

"Thank you Billy," Dian said with a calm facial expression as she could feel a sharp glare from the next table.

A close friendship since childhood made Dian have been accustomed to receiving attention and kindness from Billy, but because Dian already knew Billy had a desire to forge a deeper relationship made Dian feel a little awkward.

Sherina could read Dian's heart so precisely that it gave an eye gesture to Leon and Natasha. Leon and Natasha nodded their heads in an omen understanding Sherina's cue.

Leon cuts the beef steak quickly and puts it in front of Sherina.

"Sister Rina. The beef steak is ready to be eaten" Leon said with a big smile.

"Good boy," Sherina replied as she pierced a small piece of beef steak and chewed it slowly.

"Dians. The steak is very soft. Not to lose with your cooking. Try me!" sherina.

Dian nodded her head and went along to stab a small piece with a fork and chewed it slowly.

The awkward feeling disappeared instantly. Dian gave a thumbs up to Sherina omens agreeing Sherina's words to the delicious beef steak.

While Leon turned his head towards Natasha with a wide smile that was still adorning at the corner of his lips.

"Natashasha. Let me help you cut the steak" Leon said.

"Thank you Leon" Natasha said, handing the plate to Leon.

The five of them continued to enjoy the main meal leisurely. Stefan and Rizky, too. Stefan looked at Dian.

The young girl seemed accustomed to enjoying fine dining. Though to the knowledge of Stefan, Dian is just an ordinary chef so it is impossible to ever enjoy a luxurious fine dining menu set like today.

Stefan increasingly feels himself completely unaware of who Dian really is and makes him confused and uncomfortable with ignorance during their eleven-month marriage.
