CHAPTER 55. Secret research place

***Anian office space in Jayanata Company***

Dian tidied up the paperwork on the desk and prepared to go home to the apartment. Tonight Dian does not need to meet with business partners because Chandra will represent her.

Chandra knows that during her overseas service, Dian has to work overtime every night so Chandra gives Dian the freedom to get home from work on time for the next few days.

Anyway tomorrow afternoon Dian has to pick up Kelvin at the airport and bring him home to the apartment.

David knocks on the office door and goes inside after getting permission from Dian.

David looked at Dian who was already standing while holding a briefcase and seemed to be preparing to go home.

"What's up David?" ask Dian.

"Erik's CEO just called and wanted to invite Dian to dinner together to talk about the development of the AI project" David replied.

Dian thought for a while, then nodded her head in agreement. The AI project is very important to him.

"Davids. You're coming too" said Dian.

"Well Miss Dian," replied David.

David drives Dian's white porsche to the restaurant where Erik's appointment took place.

When the waiter escorted Dian and David to Erik's table, they were both shocked that not only was Erik there, but Stefan was there as well.

Dian spontaneously turned to David. The private secretary shook her head slowly in response to her not knowing Stefan was taking part in this meeting.

Dian approached the restaurant table and stared intently at Erik. "It's a trap dinner?" ask Dian without saying stale.

Erik smiled awkwardly and stood up from his seat, then pulled the chair on the left to let Dian sit there.

"Vice CEO Dian. Sorry for my sassness. Stefan wants to talk to you about something important. I promise only as an intermediary and neutral. I will not interfere in the affairs of the two of you. As proof of the sincerity of the apology, I will take you to the secret research site of the AI project later. The scientists of the core technology research team are there" Erik explained at length.

"Confidential research place?" inner Dian.

Dian was indeed interested in Erik's offer, but this feeling of being deceived was extremely uncomfortable.

"I hope CEO Erik doesn't repeat it again" Dian said with an expressionless face, then sat down in the chair provided by Erik.

Erik breathed a sigh of relief and sat back down in his chair. Erik sits between Stefan and Dian. David took a seat next to Dian.

"Sir Stefan. If it is about antique keris, then there is nothing to talk about," Dian said firmly.

Stefan looked at Dian. The cold face of the young girl made Stefan's heart feel hollow.

"Sorry Dian. Today Grandpa went looking for you and said a lot of bad things" Stefan said.

From a previous phone call with Adi, Stefan knew the old man must have made things difficult for Dian. What else Dian refused to firmly give the antique keris.

"Is that all you want to say?" asked Dian in an investigative tone.

Stefan seemed to think for a moment, then spoke again.

"When you're willing to return an antique dagger, I'll agree to all the terms you've applied for" Stefan replied.

Stefan knows Dian won't return the antique kris because he wants to upset Laura, Anastasia, and Adi. Now Dian's goal has been achieved.

Stefan had no problem with Dian keeping an antique kris for a while until the young girl was willing to return it to Adi.

Dian was astonished by Stefan's attitude tonight, but she didn't care if Stefan said it or not.

"Alright," Dian replied briefly, then turned to Erik.

"We're going to a secret research site right now" Dian said.

"I always keep my word" Erik said with a big smile.

Erik, Dian, and David leave the restaurant and the faithful Stefan sits there. Erik did not dare to take Stefan for fear of getting angry from Dian. After all Stefan as a shareholder of Alpha Company has been to a secret research place.

A white porsche car stopped in front of a three-story building. Dian and David follow Erik into the building.

Erik stuck his identity card in front of the entrance, then pressed a few passphrases. Entrance opens automatically.

Dian observed the entire room in the form of a long glass corridor with walls made of translucent material.

Erik walked in front as a guide. Dian and David followed behind. Erik led them into an empty, enclosed room.

Erik placed the right palm on one side of the glass wall so that a thin image appeared in the form of a sensor all fingerprints of Erik's hand.

Erik brought his face closer for an eye pupil scan. A few seconds later the wall in front of him opened.

Behind the wall is a long glass corridor. The three of them walked past him. Dian felt himself as if he were in a long labyrinth.

In the end they arrived in front of a white door. "We have arrived" said Erik, opening the door.

Inside the room were several scientists with the appearance of white coats. They concentrate on doing their own work. Some test the remote control with the product made. There was also a person talking to the computer in front of him.

Dian looked at the astonishment of the research technology in front of her, which could help her understand the future development of the artificial intelligence industry.

Suddenly Dian felt something soft hit his leg. The feeling of deja vu that was once felt by him and repeated today.

"Mao Mao," called out to Dian as she saw the red panda staring and tightly grasping her legs.

"Mimi's beautiful! I miss mimi beautiful!" said Mao Mao.

Dian bent down and lifted the red panda, then placed it on the lap of the arm.

"Mao Mao still remembers me. Why is he here?" ask Dian to Erik.

"Mao Mao is programmed to have sharp intelligence and memory so that it can recognize everyone who has met him even if only a few seconds," replied one of the men scientists was thin and wore large glasses.

"Oh it turns out so," Dian replied as she stroked the soft fur of the red panda.

The man's scientist stared at Dian from head to toe.

"Mao Mao's! She's the pretty mimi you said a while ago?" ask a man scientist.

"Yes. Mimi is beautiful," replied the red panda while nodding her head.

"Mao Mao told me about me?" ask Dian.

"Yes. I designed it. Mao Mao's character does like beautiful men and women."

A young girl with a cheerful face and big eyes and wearing a white coat walked over to Dian.

"Mao Mao's. Here I am carrying," said the young girl as she spread her arms.

"No want! I want to be hugged by mimi!" reject the red panda.

Erik and a few other scientists chuckled faintly at the plain answer of the red panda.

"You're the creator of Mao Mao?" ask Dian.

"Yes. Miss is very pretty," the young girl replied as she looked at Dian with sparkling eyes. Dian smiled slightly looking at the attitude of the young girl who was exactly the same as the red panda.

"Vice CEO Dian. Introduce, this is Vivian, a renowned genius scientist in the industry and also the leader of the AI project," Erik told Dian.

"Vi! This is deputy CEO Dian, a business partner of Jayanata Company," Erik told Vivian.

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Dian," said Vivian.

"It's nice to meet Miss Vivian," replied Dian.

"Vi! You take deputy CEO Dian around. I went to see the others" said Erik.

Vivian nodded her head and took Dian and David to her private research room. Of course, the red panda came along because it did not want to escape from Dian's embrace.
