CHAPTER 5. Diamond necklace

***Mansion Bramasta***

Luis asks Dian whereabouts to all the Bramasta Mansion maids and they all nervously answer Luis's questions. Even Mr. Eko, the butler of the Bramasta Mansion immediately called Laura to report this.

Twenty minutes later, Laura returned to the Bramasta Mansion. Laura's mood was very bad because her shopping activities were interrupted by Mr. Eko's report on Luis.

"Luis! What are you looking for Dian?" laura asked curiously when she saw Luis still interrogating one by one the servants of the Bramasta Mansion.

"Sorry lady Laura. Mr. Stefan sent me to find Lady Dian," Luis replied politely.

"Stefan's back from Las Vegas? Why is Stefan looking for Dian?" asked Laura in an investigative tone.

During the eleven months of Stefan and Dian's marriage, Laura sees with her own eyes that Stefan often ignores Dian so that Laura is sure sooner or later Dian will be divorced by Stefan, but Luis' words make Laura suspect something is unknown to her at this time.

"Sorry lady Laura. Regarding Madame Dian can be asked directly to Mr. Stefan. I was just doing my job" Luis replied.

"Basic useless!" laura's grumbling in her heart.

"Yes! I'll ask Stefan later," Laura replied tightly.

Luis smiled amiably and nodded his head at Laura, before continuing to interrogate the servants of the Bramasta Mansion one by one.

Laura sat on the living room sofa while occasionally glancing at Luis. Over time Laura grew curious why Stefan was looking for Dian and where did Dian go now?

Of the dozens of Bramasta Mansion servants, only the driver who drove Dian home from Bramasta Company was the last person to see Dian.

Dian's departure from the Bramasta Mansion did not leave any traces, as if someone had arranged for her.

Eventually Luis decided to call Stefan to report everything. Laura, who saw Luis pull out a cell phone, immediately stood up from the sofa and walked over to Luis.

Laura believes Luis called Stefan so she would like to know what Luis told Stefan.

"Luisne. Where's Dian going?" stefan asked when he answered the phone.

"I'm sorry Mr. Stefan. Bramasta Mansion cctv recording damaged. I've asked all the waiters and no one has seen the passing of Lady Dian" Luis replied carefully.

"That poor girl really left Bramasta's Mansion? Good job!" said Laura's heart.

Stefan was silent for a moment after hearing Luis' reply. Dian's face flashed in Stefan's mind at this moment. Stefan admitted in his little heart, he was worried about the departure of Dian who was not tracked by his footsteps.

Isn't Dian an orphan? Where can the young girl go? Go back to Las Vegas? Questions popped into Stefan's mind.

"Luisne. Check flights to Las Vegas on behalf of Dian!" stefan's orders.

"Okay, Stefan!" answer Luis.

"Fa! The fan! Mama wants to talk!" laura shouted suddenly and grabbed the phone from Luis's hand.

Luis just resignedly let his phone be taken by Laura. The private secretary sharpened her hearing to eavesdrop on Laura's conversation with Stefan. Luis suggests something to do with Dian.

"What's the matter ma?" ask Stefan.

"Fa. You had a fight with Dian so she left?" asked Laura with a gentle and caring tone.

During this time Laura and Anastasia always showed a good relationship with Dian when Stefan was at the Bramasta Mansion so that the young man did not know the insults received by Dian for eleven months of their marriage.

"Me and Dian are divorced, Ma!" answer Stefan.

"Yes! Eventually the poor girl divorced Stefan" Laura said.

"Mama support all your decisions. Dian must be asking for alimony money from you in large quantities?" asked Laura in an investigative tone.

"No ma! Dian didn't ask me for a dollar!" answer Stefan.

"How is it possible? Mama can't believe it! There's a lot of money in your room's safety box. Dian must have taken it. Mama's gonna check it out now!" laura said enthusiastically and returned Luis' phone before walking quickly to Stefan's bedroom.

Stefan was shocked to hear Laura's accusation against Dian. Didn't Laura love Dian in front of her all this time? Why did Laura's attitude change so quickly?

"Sir Stefan," call Luis on his cell phone.

"Luis! Follow mama!" stefan's orders.

Luis ran over to Laura and stopped outside the brown door. Luis finds out Stefan moved into that room after marrying Dian. Luis suspects that most likely the safety box that was said by Laura earlier, was in the room.

Luis waited patiently outside the door of the room that was not tightly closed. There was a small beep coming from the room, indicating a safety box pass number.

Luis's guess is very precise. Laura is opening a safety box because she knows her pass number. Laura heaved a sigh of relief after seeing the money in the safety box was still neatly arranged.

Laura's eyes were glued to a jewelry box. Laura remembers clearly Stefan bought a diamond necklace from the auction and kept it in a safety box.

Laura initially thought Stefan would give the diamond necklace to Dian because Stefan had never bought women's jewelry from the auction event, but Stefan did not give it to Dian but kept the diamond necklace in a safety box.

Laura opened the jewelry box. His red face held back anger as the jewelry box was empty.

"Damn it! The poor girl stole the diamond necklace!" laura shouted as she slammed the jewelry box onto the floor.

"What's wrong, Laura?" ask Luis outside the room.

Laura ran quickly to the door and opened the door violently, then grabbed the phone from Luis's hand. The phone is still on fire.

"Fa! Dian stole a diamond necklace that was kept in a safety box!" laura said with a ketus.

"Dian couldn't have done it. Dian doesn't know the safety box number" Stefan said.

"Dian cleans your room every day. He must have stolen it!" laura said with certainty.

"Dian cleans my room every day? Why not a waiter?" ask Stefan.

"That's it.Dian himself will clean your room," replied Laura stammeringly.

"Ma! I still have a lot of work! The diamond necklace problem is left alone" Stefan said, turning off the phone quickly.

Laura is getting upset and furious because Stefan is clearly heard defending Dian. Laura believes Dian stole the diamond necklace. Laura was determined in her heart to not let go of Dian so easily. A plan was already in Laura's mind.

When Luis leaves the Bramasta Mansion, Laura calls Gisel to tell him about Stefan's divorce.

During Gisel's stay in Las Vegas, the young girl always took the time to call and maintain a good relationship with Laura. Gisel knows Laura does not like poor Dian to be a daughter-in-law so her chance to replace Dian is huge.

"Hello aunt Laura," Gisel said in a soft voice.

"Cell. There's good news. Stefan is divorced" Laura said enthusiastically.

"Yes! The poor girl believed the photo I sent" said Gisel.

"Divorce? Is Stefan okay, Aunt Laura?" Gisel wants to know Stefan's mood for his divorce from Dian.

"Of course Stefan's fine. Even better because the poor girl had already left Bramasta Mansion," answered Laura confidently.

"Tante Laura's. I'll be back in Bali soon" Gisel said.

"Stefan and Sia must be glad you're home" Laura said.

"Yes aunty Laura. Where is Sia?" ask Gisel.

"She was with her friend on a trip to Sydney for a few days. The day after tomorrow we will return to Bali" answered Laura.

"See you in Bali, Aunt Laura" Gisel said before hanging up. Gisel was already looking forward to booking a return ticket so that he could soon be on Stefan's side at the moment.

Stefan's divorce represents Gisel's golden opportunity to win the man's heart again. Although Gisel can feel Stefan being cold to him while in the hospital, Gisel believes he can successfully melt Stefan's heart again.

Laura goes through her plan to get back the lost diamond necklace, unbeknownst to Stefan.
