Chapter 95. A beautiful dream that ran aground

Naomi and Ellen's faces turned as pale as the color of the paper. They both read repeatedly the written statement from Public Relations Wijaya Company to ascertain whether there was an error in the writing.

"Kelvin and Dian's relationship is a sibling. Kelvin Wijaya is Chandra Wijaya's twin brother."

The written statement was very short, but the meaning implied in it left everyone shocked.

Questions arise in Naomi and Ellen's mind. They suspect the statement is a hoax issued by the Wijaya Family to protect Dian.

How could Kelvin be twin brother to Chandra? Since the beginning of his debut, Kelvin did use his short name only and no magazine managed to find the background Kelvin.

"Naomi. That must be news hoax. No way Kelvin and CEO Chandra are twins. They're not alike at all" Ellen said.

"Yes, Ellen. They dare not show the evidence" replied Naomi.

Ellen and Naomi took pains to calm the uneasiness and panic in their hearts, but their calmness became wavering again due to two photos posted by the Wijaya Company.

Close up of Kelvin and Chandra. In the photo Kelvin did not wear his trademark sunglasses during his modeling career. Without sunglasses, Kelvin and Chandra look very similar to each other except for Kelvin's long hair.

"What about, Ellen? They are really twins" Naomi said in a panic.

Naomi realizes she and Ellen have made a big deal and offended the Wijaya family. Their careers as models and young artists are also under threat.

"I'll call you first" Ellen said.

Ellen takes the phone to call Anjas, while Naomi brings her body closer to Ellen in order to hear Ellen and her father's conversation.

"Dad!" call Ellen excitedly as Anjas receives a phone call from her.

"Allen! Dad's at the Bramasta Company to meet Stefan. I'll call you back!" anjas said and disconnected the phone without waiting for an answer from Ellen.

"Dad to meet Stefan?" inner Ellen.

"Ellen. Why did your father meet Stefan?" asked Naomi with a confused face.

Naomi vividly remembers what Stefan said yesterday about a business marriage that would never have been possible, but why is Stefan seeing Ellen's father now?

"Maybe Stefan changed his mind" Ellen replied with a crisp, confident face.

Naomi is not as optimistic as Ellen. Naomi has a bad premonition with the encounter between Anjas and Stefan, but she hopes that her premonition is wrong.

"Naomi. You go home first. Wait for the good news from me" said Ellen.

"All right" answered Naomi.

***Stefan's office space in Bramasta Company***

Stefan shook his head slowly with a small smile looking at the written statement letter from Public Relations of Wijaya Company and two close up photos of Kelvin and Chandra through his laptop screen.

Kelvin, who has been considered a love rival, turns out to be Dian's older brother and Chandra's twin brother.

This news made Stefan surprised and relieved because the rival in the fight over Dian reduced by one.

There was a knock on the door from outside. "Lake in!" stefan's orders.

Luis walked over to Stefan. "Sir Stefan. Mr. Anjas has arrived!" report Luis.

"Thirty minutes to get him in!" stefan replied with an expressionless face after hearing Anjas' name.

"Okay, CEO Stefan!" said Luis.

Thirty minutes later, Luis takes Anjas to Stefan's study. Anjas walked over to Stefan's desk with a cramped face.

"Please sit down, Mr. Anjas!" luis said pointing to the chair in front of Stefan's desk.

"Thank you" Anjas replied.

Anjas looked at Stefan with a big smile. The authority and aura of leadership emanating from Stefan's body amazed Anjas.

Currently Anjas considers himself to be dealing with a prospective dream daughter-in-law. It was the first time Stefan had invited him to the Bramasta Company to meet so Anjas felt good news was waiting for him.

His proximity to Adi Bramasta recently made Anjas confident that the business marriage promised by Adi will be implemented in the near future.

"What's the important thing CEO Stefan wants to negotiate?" asked Anjas with an impatient face.

"What Mr. Anjas is thinking right now," Stefan replied with an expressionless face.

Stefan is aware of reports from Luis that Adi often meets with Anjas in person. Adi also recommends Jayakencana Company to be the sole developer for luxury villa area projects.

At this time Stefan deliberately invited Anjas to meet and want to find out what has been promised by his beloved grandfather to Anjas.

"You mean the luxury villa estate project was officially done by my company?" asked Anjas enthusiastically.

"Doesn't your company want more than 20% of the market price?" Stefan didn't answer Anjas' question, but rather asked him again. Stefan still remembers what Dian said about Anjas a while ago.

"We're going to be a family soon. No matter the price, it is still on the market. Think of this as my sincerity towards the business marriage between you and Ellen," Anjas replied shamelessly.

"Grandpa just promised a luxury villa estate project and a business wedding?" ask Stefan in an investigative tone.

"Yes, right. Coincidentally tonight I'm going to have dinner with your grandfather. Stefan just come along. We can set a date for your wedding with Ellen. Or we set the date of her engagement and her wedding day three months after the engagement. How's it?" asked Anjas, after expressing his wish at length to Stefan.

Luis, standing next to Stefan, gave his thumbs up in his heart over Anjas' confident attitude. From the start Luis did not hear Stefan say he was going to marry Anjas' daughter, but the middle-aged man was seen trapped in a hallucination of himself.

"Sir Anjas. You should know that all grandfather's promises, have nothing to do with me!" stefan said firmly.

The wide smile on Anjas face disappeared instantly. Anjas felt intimidated by the cold aura from Stefan's body.

"A..what do you mean?" ask Anjas stammering.

"Grandfather is retired. All the important decisions are in my hands. So the luxury villa estate project will not fall into your hands!" answer Stefan.

Anjas' eyes were round to hear Stefan's rejection openly, but he did not dare to argue Stefan's decision. There is another important thing that is troubling Anjas' mind at the moment.

"Even though Stefan didn't give me the project, I still agreed to the marriage ….."

Stefan interrupted Anjas' words quickly. "The Bramasta family does not require a business marriage! Mrs Stefan in the future, definitely not your daughter!" said Stefan.

Stefan's continuous rejection made Adi's dream run aground instantly, but the middle-aged man was not willing to give up.

"I'll meet Mr. Adi now! He must not renege on the promise of a business marriage" Anjas said.

"I have the right to choose my own partner. If Mr. Anjas insists on a business marriage, your daughter can marry a grandfather. After all, it was grandfather who promised you," Stefan said indifferently.

Stefan looked at Luis. "Luis! Take Mr. Anjas to Grandpa's room!" stefan's orders.

"Good CEO Stefan!" luis answered obediently.

"Please Mr. Anjas!" luis said as he opened the door to Stefan's office.

Anjas gave a rude snort and walked out of Stefan's study. Of course Anjas did not go to Adi's room, but wanted to leave Bramasta Company as soon as possible.
