Chapter 102 - The Welcoming Party

Anna gets permission to go home early and permission not to take lessons in the afternoon to prepare to attend the invitation of the Gold Dragon guild at night.

Anna asks Bimo to deliver the avatar hunter back to the laboratory while he himself returns to his apartment which is not far from the underground laboratory.

In the evening, Anna goes to the Asian Soul building where the welcoming party is held by taxi.

Unlike the other Hunters who came in the best clothes they had, Anna came in just wearing casual clothes. She even only wore thin makeup on her face and also the mask as usual.

Aside from not wanting to trouble herself, Anna did not have a dress at all in the wardrobe in her apartment. She left all the dresses she had at the Lloyd's daughter's residence, which had been burned to the ground by Cassey's rampage.

Upon arrival in the Asian Soul area, Anna did not go directly to the back building where the banquet hall was located.

Anna remained silent for a long time in a place while staring at a window on the 6th floor of the building, where she had bad memories of that place.

After a long silence, Anna then walked a few steps and stopped where her body was last lying before she finally moved into a white room.

From the basin that appeared on the paving floor, he knew his body had hit the floor very hard.

Anna also recalled the pain she felt on her entire body at that moment.

All of the Hunters who were in the hall were silent as Wang Zhu Ming spoke, as if a single word coming out of his mouth meant a lot.

After Zhu Ming stepped off the stage, all the guild higher-ups invited to the party tried to approach him for a chat or just shake hands.

Among them of course there is also the most famous and leading Hunter in City C, Brandon Lloyd.

Along with his wife and daughter, Brandon approached and greeted Wang Zhu Ming.

"Mr Wang, we meet again" Brandon said with a smile on his business.

Zhu Ming only glanced at the middle-aged man for a moment, before turning to look at the others who greeted him as well and invitingly shaking hands.

Feeling uneasy about being ignored like that, Brandon slowly pulled up Cassey's arm, then spoke back, cutting off the conversation of the person who was talking to Zhu Ming.

"Mr Wang, you certainly remember our daughter, right?" brandon asked as she pulled Cassey closer to her.

Being forcefully spoken to like that, Zhu Ming finally turned to Brandon, then looked at the beautiful girl next to the man.

After recalling the girl's face, Zhu Ming's countenance turned sour.

"of course. The bully," Zhu Ming said briefly, before leaving without saying anything more. He went to the table where Ronald Stewart sat and joined the chairman of the Association there.

Brandon Lloyd who was left with no respect was certainly about to explode. All his life, the middle-aged man had almost never been treated as such disrespectful.

It was only recently that he finally felt what it was like to be treated disrespectfully by someone. Incidentally, the person who treated him like that before was also the same person.

Brandon looked at Cassey angrily, "What does he mean as a 'disruptor'?"

Brandon destroyed the entirety of his office last night upon hearing that his men had been arrested by the Association for the wrongdoing of some teenagers.

Not to mention he recalled the official call from the Association that he might receive in the near future.

Only Wang Zhu Ming's influence could help him. For this reason, he wanted to show the man that the girl he had been close to the last time was his real daughter. Reinhard Bern didn't take the question. He sat down without spirit. It was the first time he had walked out of his apartment after being locked up since the murder of Cassey to his future wife that he witnessed firsthand with his own eyes.

"Rei, what really happened to you? We haven't done a raid in a long time since you locked yourself up. Was that time you rejected your future wife? Or you don't like your matchmaking because you already have Cassey?" asked a man who was sitting some distance away from Reinhard. He was the vice-captain of their raid team. A very famous young raid team in City C.

Reinhard Bern lifted his face and looked at the vice-captain who had previously spoken to him, then turned his head in the other direction.

Half an hour later, the Director of the Asian Soul branch of Kota C took the stage and invited the chairman of the proud young raid team of the Gold Dragon guild to come up on stage.

All the invited guests gave a standing ovation to the young hero of C City.

Despite being in an uncomfortable mood, Reinhard Bern as team leader was forced to step foot onto the stage of honor.

As a young Hunter role model of City C, the, he certainly had to suppress his own feelings and show that he was the best captain who would lead the young Hunter-hunters of the Academy graduates who would later be under his leadership.

After Reinhard Bern stood on the stage, Wang Chu Gong also invited the 8 young Hunters who had just joined the Gold Dragon guild to go up on stage and introduce them to the entire invited guests.

Flashes of camera light coming from the media crew directly rained down on the young Hunters. Among them, a beautiful girl who ranked fifth as the best Academy graduate, seemed very cheerful when introducing herself to all the invited guests and also to the media crew.

That beautiful girl is none other than Cassey Lloyd. He also answered all the questions the reporters asked him excitedly.

In the first sequence, Wang Chu Gong called Luke Stewart to take the stage.

Luke went up on stage with a face full of pride. As he introduced himself as the son of the chairman of the City C Hunter Association, there was a commotion among the invited guests especially the reporters who were covering the welcoming party.

Chu Gong did not pay much attention to the question and answer Luke did with the reporters. He stared at the tablet in his hand as he prepared to call out the name of the next special invitation.

"No family name? Is he a rookie Hunter from the suburbs?" thought Chu Gong.

After Luke Stewart finished his interview, Chu Gong finally called their last special guest.

"For the last special guest of the evening,." Chu Gong paused on his sentence to look at the media, "She was the best student in the Hunter Academy's freshman admission exam which made media crews all over the country curious about not having managed to meet her during the freshman welcome event the other day," chu Gong continued which he then ended with a smile.

The members of the media exchanged glances between them. A flash of spirit light emanated from their eyes that could finally meet the mysterious schoolgirl.

Chu Gong again spoke, "Then, we invite the last special guest on the night to join us. Miss Anna, we're encouraging you to take your place on the stage of honor."

There was shock on the faces of some of the guests present at the party, upon hearing a name that was very familiar to them.

Although Wang Chu Gong did not seem to have mentioned his full name, the first name of the schoolgirl was very similar to the person they knew.

Brandon Lloyd straightened his body watching a casual-clothed girl walking through the room, heading for the stage.

Cassey, who was still on stage, stared at the student with her eyes wide open.

Although the girl wore a mask to cover her face, but from the gait and look in her eyes, Cassey was convinced that Anna, who was walking confidently to the stage, was the same Anna he knew.

Anna walked past Cassey without turning her head, even glancing at her one bit and directly walked up to Wang Chu Gong to shake hands.

Chu Gong looked at Anna in surprise for not feeling anything special about the F-ranked student before him other than having beautiful eyes, hair and body.

After shaking hands and speaking briefly, Chu Gong invited Anna to stand at the front of the stage to introduce herself and conduct a short interview with the reporters.

Anna nodded at Chu Gong. He then deliberately turned to a man who was also on stage.

Reinhard Bern who was also shocked upon hearing Anna's name mentioned, finally felt asphyxiation as the girl looked at him directly with an angry look.

"Is she the same Anna?" think Reinhard Bern.

Meanwhile, Cassey was trying to calm himself down. Despite having the same name, gait and eye highlight, when the girl passed by, Cassey was convinced that she was not the same person.

"certain." Anna then opened her mask.

Brandon Lloyd and Joana Nankins are shocked when they see Anna's full face, which is exactly the same as the one they know.
