Chapter 42 - We Want to Date

“Where are you going?” Asked the man while holding onto Ren's shoulder.

Ren was originally about to stop. But when he saw his acquaintance restraining his body, especially when he felt that there was a 'little compulsion' on the clutches of the hands on his shoulders, Ren turned to him with a displeased look.

“I just want to deliver it.” Sahut Ren while looking at the man. He then glanced at Anna who was standing beside him. "You go first, I'll catch up with you." His love for Anna.

But, Anna still clasped Ren's wrist as if not hearing what the man said.

The one who stopped them, looked at Anna with a frown. Anna's appearance wearing a hat and mask was a little suspicious for her. Especially since he knew the girl was also a Hunter, from the magic energy he felt on her.

But, her eyes also could not avoid the temptation of Anna's sexy body.

"Can you let me go?" Ren said to the man. Ren knew the direction of his eyes and tried to distract the man from Anna.

Ren and the man who stopped her earlier did not answer. The man looked back at Anna, while Ren looked at her with a displeased look.

Anna was wondering if she should just make these people faint. But he undoes his intentions, worried because they will definitely trouble Ren and his brother later on.

“I'm her boyfriend, we want to date but she stopped us.” Anna pointed to the person who stopped them.

“He can't go. She promised me to date.” Anna seemed to not want to give up.

Hearing that, some of them laughed at the same time. Other than the first man earlier, they all seemed quite friendly.

“Why don't you come with us?” Ask one of them.

Anna glanced at the person who had just spoken. He simply ignored her and looked at Ren.

“You want to go with me or with them?” Ask Anna.

Ren looked at Anna with a dazed face. He still did not understand, what the girl meant that seemed to be blocking him. Even by giving silly reasons.

Ren knew that what he and his acquaintances would do was a very dangerous thing. However he desperately needed money for the annual fee of attending Hunter Academy given that he had passed the examination today.

He has very simple goals. Graduated from the Academy, obtained an official license and registered as the Hunter Association in order for him to work under the official auspices of the Association as a team of miners.

Ren does not want excess things, he just wants to have enough salary without risking his life and have a decent income to meet the cost of his life and his brother.

The man looked at Ren. He didn't actually mind the girl coming along. It all depends on Ren.

Anna rolled her eyes as she looked at Ren's expression. "Stupid. I don't want you to go with them. Think of your brother!" Anna in his heart.

"It's okay. I can protect myself." Anna then said.

There's no other way, Anna thinks that she should come if Ren doesn't want to stay with her.

Although Anna guarantees herself, Ren doesn't just approve of it.

"We'll go to..."

Anna cuts off Ren's sentence as the girl shocks him as she draws her face closer to Ren's ear while on her tiptoes.

"I'll call Rin if you leave me here." His whisper.

“B-okay..” Sahut Ren with a doubtful tone.

Ren's answer was greeted by the laughter of all his colleagues.

“Then let's go now.” Invite the older man, he then walked first and then followed by his friends with Ren and Anna who walked at the very back of the group.

“What's up?” Ask Anna.

“It's okay..” Sahut Ren's. He was actually a bit nervous at the moment. He still remembered what the girl had said.

At first glance, Ren caught the strange attitude of Anna who looked very indifferent and seemed to have no burden whatsoever in her mind.

“Are all the rich kids this relaxed?”

“I know you're a rich man's son. But do you know, you'll be involved in big trouble.” Ren said in a half-whispering voice. “And why do you seem to be holding me back from going with them? Do you know where we're headed? And weren't you just looking for your friend?”

Anna turned to him with a slight raise of her head because the man had a body taller than her. Anna guessed the man might have a height of about 180 centimeters.

“Sure. Aren't we going on a date?” Sahut Anna's. “Someone who goes on a date usually also forgets his friend.” Added.

That answer answers all of Ren's questions, albeit very distorted.

“A-what? Y-you're too relaxed bercan-“

“Oh... get your hands," Anna suddenly snatched and held Ren's hand and linked their fingers. “They often turn their head towards us, we should look like dating.”

They were busy chatting while smoking casually as if they were waiting for something.

They seemed to understand the lovers they let stand alone some distance from where they were.

In fact, there were many words of annoyance that Ren wanted to swipe from his mouth at Anna, who had been standing next to him and seemed unwilling to let go of their grasp.

But when Ren wanted to say his words, he always swallowed it back when he met the girl's eyes.

Hearing that Ren resentfully pulled his hand but the girl's grasp was really very strong.

Ren was now completely annoyed and stared intently at the girl.

Anna then turned around and pointed in a direction with her free hand.

“Oh.. look, there's a ship... Are we waiting for that ship?”

A rather large ship sailed up to them. The company has been waiting for the ship ever since.

When the ship was approaching the riverbank, they all jumped directly onto the ship without waiting for the ship to stop.

Anna and Ren, who were still holding hands, jumped together on the boat.

The ship that had come to pick them up was back sailing when they were all on board.
