The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 65 - Dungeon Break (3)

The Dungeon Break…

The remaining 13 Hunters were fighting to defend their lives, instead as a hero who was about to exterminate the monsters that had come out of the gate.

Those Hunters had already begun to be surrounded by 8 High Orcs that were much stronger than them.

There were only 5 C-ranked Hunters there. Of course, they were not worthy opponents for a High Orc who on average possessed strength equivalent to an A-ranked Hunter.

Hunter-hunters who are now between the life and death boundary is a combination of Hunter who served as a gatekeeper and Hunter who happens to be doing a change of guard.

All of these Hunters were from the Black Diamond guild.

“Damn it, why is help from guilds and Associations so late!” Take one of them. He even dared to 'cowat' his own guild when death appeared in plain sight.

Among them, there was a Hunter who had been severely injured. He was now even able to sit among the other Hunters who were trying to protect him.

Actually, the Hunter-hunters weren't protecting him. They just happened to have been cornered after running quite far away from the gate, to save themselves from the rampage of the monsters hunting them.

The Hunters were now cornered in a small circle and turned their backs on the sitting, severely injured Hunter in the middle.

The mortally wounded Hunter was Robin Lloyd, who happened to come to check on the state of the Dungeon, which the Black Diamond guild used as an asset storage warehouse, in the form of magic crystals.

Unfortunately, when Robin just entered the Dungeon, he met the High Orc troops who were on their way to the gate to Earth.

Robin instantly became the moons of the High Orc army that directly attacked him mercilessly.

Despite being unlucky, fortunately Robin who had just returned from a raid in another Dungeon, still wore his armor fully and still carried a sword with him. If not, he would have died by then.

Robin finally gave a small resistance, while running away out of the Dungeon.

His comrades guarding outside the gate, who were not allowed to enter the gate at the behest of Brandon Lloyd, were shocked when Robin came out followed by dozens of High Orcs.

The extremely powerful High Orcs, easily finished off some of them. Even Robin's comrades who had come with him after conducting a raid in another Dungeon, were killed very quickly.

The much stronger High Orcs were like just playing around with the Hunters. While the Orcs came out later from the gate, went to the buildings of the houses and destroyed them.

Fortunately, all the residents who lived around the place were still in displacement when the gate opened a few days ago.

They were reluctant to return because they saw that the gate was still there, even though the Black Diamond guild had guaranteed that the Dungeon was empty and paid for the gate between the dwellings.

Robin who was the eldest son of the guild owner was certainly protected by his comrades desperately. Because of this, his comrades died faster than the gatekeepers.

Robin, who lost the people who protected her, is severely injured.

The High Orc who saw his opponent was extremely weak, toyed with him by throwing Robin's body around like a meaningless throw-away toy.

Robin who already had a blurred vision, looked around him.

There were only 12 Hunters there who had been within the siege of dozens of High Orcs, while the Hunter assistance they had contacted seemed to still not arrive.

Robin chuckles.

“This is vengeance from the sky,” murmured.

He suddenly recalled his poor half-sister, whom he knew had been killed by his own biological sister.

Robin did not know about the incident directly. He overhears a conversation between Brandon Lloyd and his personal assistant, Rudyard Lau, as he knocks on the door of his father's office.

Although Anna was her half-sister, she did not hate Anna. However, he also did not care for his half-sister in particular.

But, he should have reported Cassey's evil deeds and his father's indifference to the Association. That's what he regrets right now.

“Why when I can still do it, I dare not report it?” thought Robin, regretting her cowardice.

Tangggg... yanggg…!!!

The sound of Hunter's shield colliding with a High Orc club disperse Robin's daydream. He had almost forgotten that he was in a High Orc siege.

With the remnants of his strength, Robin tried to rise to his feet using the sword in his hand as a buffer.

Coinciding with that, the High Orcs began to charge forward.

Crakkk…!

Those Hunters were truly no match for High Orcs. When they fought at the beginning, the High Orcs were just testing the Hunter's fighting prowess and ended up just playing them.

However, when the High Orcs got tired of playing with the weak opponent, they immediately attacked and killed the Hunters they had surrounded.

Robin could feel a splash of blood hitting his face, as the High Orc short sword had separated the head of a Hunter from his body.

There were 4 Hunters that fell at the same time.

Robin tried to lift his heavy sword, to give an attack on one of the High Orcs.

“At the very least, I will bring one of them to die with me!” robin's Oath. His voice just sounded like a murmur.

Robin looked at the High Orc with his blurred vision and tried to raise the sword with both hands to stab the monster.

The 2-meter-high Orc kicked the sword in Robin's hand. The monster then chuckled as it raised the baton in its left hand, then swung it right at the poor Hunter's head.

Crack... crack... crack…!!!

Robin, who no longer had strength in both knees, fell to his knees.

He stared at the figure of a High Orc that lost half its body.

'Huh?! What the hell's going on?'

Robin blinked his eyes, which had blurred vision, then rubbed them with both hands.

Bamm…

The body of the High Orc who was about to swing a club to his head fell down in front of him with only the waist to his feet left.

Robin looked around and saw the dozens of High Orcs that had surrounded them had almost a similar fate.

He then looked at some of his surviving comrades who were crying in fear with their pale faces, sitting on the ground. Some of them were in a prostrate position while covering their heads, looking afraid of death.

Although they are professional hunters, when death is in sight, they can also feel the fear of death.

There's only one person standing there right now.

“People? Or Bear? Or the guy in the Bear costume?” thought Robin. He rubbed his eyes again with the back of his hand before looking back at the figure.

Although the costume he wore did not fit on his body and looked dirty. Robin can confirm that he is a cosplayer.

The cosplayer bear then walked over to Robin.

Robin looked up to stare at the cosplayer who also seemed to be looking at him closely.

°°°

Anna had a sad feeling when she saw that her half-brother appeared to be seriously injured.

She has many memories of Robin, who, though hardly ever invited her to chat in person, has always been the first person to give her a birthday present since she was 8.

‘I don't know if this is enough to repay the good memories you always give me every year, but I'm glad it's not too late to save you.’

Anna who was inside the bear costume then turned around, leaving Robin who was still staring at her in a daze.

There are still many High Orcs there.

The dozens of High Orcs had already run over to Anna with guns in hand. Anna also ran towards them quickly, to keep their range from Robin who was still lying behind her.

The High Orcs who had previously attacked with a fiery spirit, confused as the creatures they were aiming for vanished from sight.

Just a few seconds later, the sound of objects breaking, breaking, even exploding, filled the area.

One of the High Orcs who was in the raid squad, stared in horror at the bodies of his comrades who suddenly exploded without him knowing who did it.

But before long, the creature that seemed to be the mastermind of his comrades' death had revealed its form.

In the High Orc's view, he was a strange, thick-haired little creature that seemed to be extremely thin and starving, or a creature that had a very old age.

The High Orc saw that the entire skin on his body looked saggy and saggy like the wrinkled skin of an Orc that had lived for hundreds of years in his world.

“What did you notice?”

The creature suddenly spoke to him.

The High Orcs were shocked when they heard the creature could speak their language.

“S-who are you?”

“You don't need to know who I am.” Sahut Anna's. He then pointed at the other High Orc troops running towards them.

“Who is their leader?” ask Anna to the High Orc.

The High Orcs hesitated to answer him. But the moment the creature raised its weapon and pointed at him, he became afraid.

“King... Our King is near the gate," said High Orc.

The creature nodded. His movements were funny because his head was twitching strangely. The High Orc almost laughed, yet he did not have the guts to do so.

Anna was about to prepare to go to the gate. However, he sensed the presence of another Hunter that had just arrived around the place.

“Energi Mana her...,” Anna turned around and turned her head to the owner of Mana's energy.

He was very surprised when he saw the person who had just arrived, just like the person he was thinking about. To the extent that, without realizing it, he took a few steps back.
