Chapter 79 - The Meeting of Returns

“I found you!”

Anna exclaimed with her cheerful tone.

When Anna wanted to go to the cafe, she accidentally saw Ren sitting alone eating his lunch.

He recalled the results of the raid sale he had placed on Ren, so he immediately walked up to the man excitedly and forgot about his annoyance at Milena Williams.

But he was preceded by two other students who he thought were friends of Ren, because they immediately sat with him.

Not wanting to disturb Ren and his friends, Anna finally turned around and went again towards the cafe and intended to just meet him later.

During her time at the cafe, the curious Anna finally ‘uping’ their conversation.

When Ren realized that he was under pressure from the children of the rich, inevitably Anna finally went to them.

“Why are these people like them always everywhere and also very much?” thought Anna as she walked over.

“You're Gina Stewart's cousin?” ask Luke without making small talk.

“Ah.. true. Aren't you two cousins?” Belinda who just remembered it, cut off the conversation.

Luke smiled cynically.

“While, I don't feel like I have a cousin who's the same age as me. My cousins are older than me, even older than my sister.” Luke said as he looked at Anna with an accusatory look. He thought the confession was from Anna.

Anna didn't respond. He looked at Ren and spoke to him.

“What is the food good? You look so greedy that you ignore them.”

Ren regained his senses from his daydream, then turned his face away, staring at the food on his desk.

Ren's attitude that had been clearly seen as uncomfortable being there, changed instantly.

He sat straight up when he saw Anna there. He even nodded his head politely as Anna spoke to him.

“Y-ya.. the food is good.”.

Anna stared at the herbal soup on the table and frowned, “But it looks like this is less tasty.”

“Hey... I'm talking to you.” Cut Luke in a rather high tone of voice.

He was never ignored while talking and immediately felt annoyed when the person he considered deceived social status by claiming to be his cousin instead ignored him.

"You can ask Gina that."

"I'm asking you!" luke said, raising his voice somewhat. He was starting to not be able to keep his emotions.

“I don't have time to talk about things that don't even come from me. I came here because of him and have no business with you." Anna then looked at Ren. "Are we just moving? You can bring your lunch." Anna asked Ren. He then smiled gently at the man from behind his mask.

Everyone could guess he was smiling from the movements around his cheeks and eyes.

Her eyes looked very beautiful when she was smiling, and it made Ren so misbehaved.

Gordon noticed that there was a dislike of Luke's countenance and gaze on Anna.

He thought that this was an opportunity for him to be able to get along and establish a good connection with those two future Hunter candidates, if he could mediate between them.

“Is this like a little family quarrel?” gordon then smiled stiffly. He wanted to melt the atmosphere, but the moment he tried it, he felt awkward instead.

Gordon was a bit surprised as Luke turned to him and looked at him angrily.

“He's not my family!" Luke's mouth was tightly wound. His voice was trembling like he was holding back anger.

Knowing the man was holding back her anger, Anna finally gave her attention again to Luke and looked at him.

The calm look in his eyes with his two clear eyeballs made Luke who happened to have looked back at Anna, feel a strange thing in his heart.

“It wasn't me who asked Gina to say that I was her cousin's sister. He said it first.” Anna tried to explain again politely, then smiled at the man who looked enveloped in anger.

When she saw that Luke was silent while still looking at her angrily, Anna spoke again. "You ask Gina yourself, okay?"

"I know my sister. He couldn't have done that stupid thing to an unknown person."

'Oh, I can't take it anymore.'

Anna who had been patient since earlier, because she valued Gina very much, shook her head.

"From what you just said, I know that you don't really know your sister's nature."

Luke laughed bitterly.

“You are so arrogant!” Bait Luke. He could not hold himself back until he shouted.

“Arogan?” Anna looked confusedly at Luke, then recalled her words which made the man address her arrogantly.

“Your attitude in the class earlier, the way you humiliated your classmates, it was really arrogant.”

'Oh... So that.'

Anna was about to laugh after hearing Luke's words. He knew Luke was in the same class as him, because the first time he entered the classroom earlier, he felt a much greater Mana energy in one person than the other students. So, of course Anna immediately noticed him.

“You defended the wrong person. I can't believe Gina has a sister like you, who is narrow-minded. And again, why did you switch the conversation? Didn't you just ask me why I could be Gina's cousin's sister?” Anna said as she looked at Luke with a disappointed expression.

However, his expression changed a few seconds after. He then tilted his head and slightly narrowed his eyes and went back to speaking, “Are you and Gina not communicating well?” anna asked, as she suddenly remembered Cassey. He did not want the same thing that happened to his family, happened to Gina.

Anna guessed, Luke was just jealous because he thought his brother was not paying attention to him anymore.

Luke kicked the table with his hand. All the things on it, all of which were Ren's lunchbox and drinking glass, scattered.

Except for Anna's drink.

They don't realize the glass vanished from there, before Luke lands his palm on the table.

The students who were watching the small commotion were shocked when they saw Luke suddenly losing control and getting angry.

They talk to each other in whispers.

Luke realized. After glancing to his left and right, he stood up and was about to leave. But earlier, with a trembling voice he spoke to Anna.

“I don't know what makes my sister friends with someone like you. He didn't even see me after three years of not seeing me. You will regret your arrogance later.”

After speaking, Luke turned around and left. Gordon and Belinda, who had been silent since not knowing what to do in the commotion, went after him.

After Luke leaves, Anna puts her glass back on the table. He was still staring at Luke who was walking at a very fast pace, splitting apart the crowd that they had unknowingly gathered from earlier to notice the small commotion.

'She was blindly jealous of her brother's affection and took it out on me? How boyish.'

Anna finally sighed softly. "Gina is indeed a person who deserves to be loved that much" he thought.
