Chapter 53 - Wang Zhu Ming

The man was the one who had been sitting a bit away from them.

Rudyard looked at him with a slight tilt of his head then turned to where the man had sat before.

He estimated that even if he ran very fast, it was impossible to be in front of them in just a matter of seconds.

"Did he walk here before without me knowing?"

The tall man looked at Rudyard Lau with a watching look.

At such a gaze, Rudyard felt displeased and returned his gaze with his glaring eyes.

“Exit. You will regret your foolish actions interfering in the affairs of others.” Rudyard. It was a common threat a high ranked Hunter posed to a low ranked Hunter if their affairs were to be interrupted.

The handsome man did not budge from his place. He smiled at them even.

As tension looms, Anna emerges from behind the body of the man trying to help her.

Anna then spoke while looking at Rudyard Lau.

“Tell my dad, I'm still busy. I'll see him later when the time is right.” Anna then smiled before resuming her sentence. "Oh yeah... You better not underestimate this guy." Anna said as she glanced at the handsome man.

The one who was between Anna and 3 followers of Brandon Lloyd, glanced at the girl. He could see a mischievous smile etched on his lips.

“Is this about the problem of juvenile girl delinquency?” Thought the man. He now somewhat regrets his actions because he may have meddled in the affairs of parents and spoiled rich children.

But, from what he heard earlier, it did not seem like a trivial juvenile delinquency problem.

I was just sulking and didn't want to go home because my father seemed to be defending my brother, instead of reporting it to the Association." Said Anna.

The girl then turned around leaving behind the 4 men who were staring at her back in disbelief at what they had just heard.

As Anna left them, she came across a man who was no less handsome than Wang Zhu Ming.

With just a smile, Anna managed to make him walk while continuing to stare at her, until almost bumping into Wang Zhu Ming.

Wang Zhu Ming held both shoulders of the man who had just arrived, to the point of embarrassment.

“Zhu Ming, who is he?” Jester Bailey asked Wang Zhu Ming.

Wang Zhu Ming shook his head. He turned around and stood looking at the 3 other men with a threatening look.

“What did he say was true?”

Rudyard who was still shocked by Anna's honest words that the girl casually uttered even in the presence of a stranger, was finally able to return to his calmness as he was diverted by Wang Zhu Ming's question.

Rudyard stared at the newly arrived Jester Bailey. He could feel a great Mana energy coming from him. He guessed that he was an A-ranked Hunter.

However, Rudyard remained calm because from what he knew, his Mana energy was a Healer.

"How could two C-rank Hunters not dwell on an F-rank Hunter?"

Jester Bailey smiled sinisterly at Rudyard. He then spoke to the middle-aged man.

“Are you trying to find trouble with Wang Zhu Ming, sir?”

Rudyard Lau furrowed his brows as he felt like he was no stranger to the name.

He turned back to the handsome man who was clutching the nape of his two followers, then looked at him carefully.

It didn't take long, his eyes widened as he recalled who the man was.

“T-lord Wang?” Rudyard said with a trembling voice.

He too late realized that the gallant man before him was an S-ranked Hunter who was disguising his Mana energy.

"Damn it, how could I forget his face?"

Rudyard then recalled Anna's words earlier, then regretted the moment he finally realized he was being framed by the girl.

"That damn brat, he seems to have realized who this guy is first." Rudyard's sesal in his heart.

Wang Zhu Ming turned his head under the balcony. From where he stood, he could see Anna who had just gotten into a taxi and left the cake shop.

Wang Zhu Ming turned back to Rudyard Lau.

“I asked once again. What did the lady say was true?”

Rudyard's entire body trembled. He was not ready to be interrogated at this time and gave false answers calmly, as he often did when dealing with the Association.

The two shaking followers of Rudyard stared at Rudyard. From their gazes, it was clear that the two men were begging him for help to get out of the matter.

Moreover, from the passage Anna said earlier, it seems that the real problem that made Anna leave was not because of the matchmaking problem, but the problem caused by the persecution of Cassey.

However, Rudyard shook his head. It was the code so that the two poor Hunters could remain silent and obey Wang Zhu Ming's orders.

After the tub was loaded full of magic crystals, Anna took the truck to an empty house which was also where the magic crystals had been placed before.

Miyuki, whom Anna had contacted while she was still at the cake shop, seemed to have been waiting there.

As Miyuki looked at the mountain of magic crystals Anna was carrying, she looked extremely astonished, just like before.

“Actually, how do you get all these magic crystals?” Ask Miyuki. His face did not hide his curiosity.

Anna, who was still in the truck after unloading all the crystals with a hydraulic tub, smiled at him.

“I'll be back later. You wait here.” Anna said without noticing Miyuki's question.

As Anna recalled Rudyard Lau's words, she looked at Miyuki with a frown.

"Miyu, can you hack the CCTV in Gina's apartment and the surroundings? I want footage of the days when I was still unconscious."

Miyuki simply returned her gaze without responding.

"You don't want to?"

"What do you want from the tape?"

"You'll find out later when you see the tape yourself."

Miyuki grunting.

"All right."

After getting that answer, Anna bailed to go pick up the magic crystal again.

He turned back the truck he was driving and went to the same forest area, in order to reopen the gate there and transport the magic crystals back.
