The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 43 - Illegal Raid Team

Anna looked at the entire ship and saw that there were about 30 men, all of whom had magic energy, inside the ship.

On the other hand, after Anna and Ren were there, all eyes were on the two of them who were holding hands. Especially on Anna who looks foreign and suspicious because she still wears a hat and mask.

“New people?” Ask someone to the man who is the leader of the troupe that just boarded.

“Ya.. she's her boyfriend.” The man's heart.

The man who asked was actually 30 years old. However, her naturally thinning hair and her face were filled with dense crackles, making her appear older than her original age.

He looked at Anna Lloyd closely and could feel the Mana energy from the girl. Therefore, he felt it was fine for him to come with them.

“What is your class Assassin?” Asked the man to brew on Anna, upon seeing her slender-looking body as well as her appearance similar to most Assassin classes in general.

“Warrior.” Anna's voice is short.

“Warrior?” The man was a little distracted when he found out, as Anna's body was no match for a Warrior.

"Although a beginner, but isn't he too lean?"

“Do you know where we're going?” Ask the man again.

“Sure. To the Dungeon, right?”

Hearing what Anna had just said, Ren was shocked. As he remembered, he had never told them where they were headed, as it was a very secret thing.

All the people who were inside the ship were the team that would conduct the unofficial raid of the Dungeon whose gate was in the middle of the sea.

All the Dungeons that were on the mainland were usually already booked and purchased by the guild. Whether it was a large guild that could afford a Dungeon with its own funds or small guilds that bought raid rations on a joint basis and would conduct joint raids to overcome the Dungeon.

While Hunters without such a license can usually only make a living in three ways.

First, they can join small guilds that lack members and they will be given the appropriate pay, once the raid is successful.

The second was to search and conduct raids in Dungeons whose gates were in the middle of the vast ocean or in forests that were difficult to reach, just as they would do at this time.

The Association was usually late to reach out and inspect the Dungeon gates, until it was too late to auction the Dungeon on the official website of the Hunter Association.

Although the second thing was an action that could be called an illegal action, but the Association usually did not take it too seriously as long as the team that did the raid could handle it well and returned from the Dungeon safely.

If they were caught and arrested, the Association would usually only hold them for a few weeks in jail, but would eventually release them as well.

The third is by conducting an illegal raid. Illegal raids are fraudulent things that a raid team does by conducting a raid first on a Dungeon whose raid rights have been purchased by another team or guild.

Of the 3 things above, the first and second way is often done by Hunter-hunters who do not have a license.

However, because it will make more money, unlicensed Hunter-hunters usually do the second way.

They were always looking for a Dungeon gate that was difficult to reach and would raid there before the Association auctioned or conquered the Dungeon itself.

Especially if it happened to be a low-ranked Dungeon. The association usually ignored him and would only conduct a raid there when a Dungeon Break would occur.

Dungeon breaks will usually occur when a Dungeon is not overcome in 3 to 10 days.

Unlike the small guilds, the Hunter Association and the large guilds usually never invited the unlicensed Hunter despite raiding in the lowest ranked Dungeon. They do not want to take the risk of inviting Hunter who has never participated in training, because it will interfere with team cooperation that can be fatal.

For this reason, unlicensed hunters usually do the second way. They did a raid first in the neglected Dungeon, though, because only then can they earn a decent income compared to doing the first way that only relies on the payment from small guilds which is very little compared to the work that risks lives.

In the second way, they will earn more money by selling the results of the raid on the black market.

The Association actually never disputed the second way until it rarely caught the Hunter-hunters who did it. Because, with them successfully overcoming a Dungeon, they actually managed to help keep the world safe from Dungeon breaks.

The association usually only hunts down fraudulent teams that conduct a raid in a third way.

The man stared at Ren angrily, suspecting that Ren had leaked their plans.

At this moment, news of an illegal raid being conducted by a team was being talked about. The man was afraid that if their plan leaked out, the Association would ambush and imprison them all.

Although in the end they will not prove to be illegal raiders because they do not have the ability to conquer a Dungeon by eliminating all monsters and their mining materials as is widely reported, but they would definitely not have any more freedom in the future since it would definitely be blacklisted by the Association.

Especially when looking at the appearance of the woman that Ren was currently carrying with him. The woman looked like she had a well-groomed body. It can be seen from the skin around his eyes, the skin of his hands and feet are plastered clearly because he uses hotpants jeans.

The man guessed, that woman must be from the upper class who definitely has a relationship with the Hunter Association.

He could guess the intention of the brewpub man who was the team leader who seemed like he was going to scold Ren, and wanted to deal with the situation quickly.

The man stared back at Anna. “You Hunter is not licensed?”

“Ya.” Sahut Anna's.

He's not lying. Because before he graduated from Hunter Academy, he was also classified as a Hunter who did not have a raid permit and had not been registered with the Hunter Association.

The man still stared at him for a long time before returning to speak.

“Alright, what weapons do you usually use?”

“Spear or sword.” Sahut Anna who almost said ‘I don't need gun’.

The man stares back at Ren then looks at the gang leader who brought Ren. The head of the gang was the man who had allowed Anna to come with them.

The man then looked back at Anna. “You've already followed raid?”

“Not yet, I heard it from my acquaintance.”

The man then turned to look at a man sitting on top of a large chest. The man is the team leader of the black market.

“Is there still a sword or spear that he can use?”

“We only have sticks left. But this is a wand for Warriors, not a Mage wand. So he can borrow it.” The man's heart.

The man looked back at Anna Lloyd.

“You have no problem with that?”

“Sure. And.." Anna turned to Ren. "He will protect me.” Anna said as she looked back at the man.

Hearing that, the entire ship burst into laughter.

“You crazy? You think we're kidding?” Ren protested to Anna in a half-whispered voice.

“Handering? Our relationship? Or my words just now?” Anna then blinked one eye at Ren.

Ren could guess the girl must be playing tricks on him.

“By the way, do your best this time.” Said the team leader from the black market. “Association is conducting rigorous research on illegal raids which are now widely discussed. This will probably be our last chance to work together in the near future.”

‘Cough!’

After the black market team leader finished talking, the people did not look at him anymore. Everyone's eyes were fixed on Anna who had suddenly coughed.

"I'm fine, please ignore it." Anna said as she realized all eyes were on her.

The ship they were aboard finally arrived near the Dungeon gate after a full 2-hour journey.

The raid team of 22 people, including Anna in it, is now in line to receive a raid equipment loan from the black market team.

Black market teams provide equipment such as large backpacks, groceries and drinks and small axes for mining. Then there was a simple vest in lieu of armor, which Anna valued even lower quality than the one in Hunter Academy. And of course weapons to use to fight against monsters later.

Black market teams have always worked with unlicensed Hunter-hunters to grow their own businesses.

The proceeds of the illegal raid will be purchased directly by the black market and equipment rental fees will be deducted once the proceeds of the sale are cashed in.

Each of the black market team deftly prepares a large backpack for each Hunter and has filled their backpack with the necessary equipment.

“Dining rations available for three days Dungeon time. It was probably around three or four hours of time outside of the Dungeon. You guys should hurry up. It's possible that the team from the Association will arrive in six to eight hours.” Said the head of the black market team while handing over some special watches that are required to be carried every raid, to the head of the raid team.

The clock made with the materials of the raid would still function inside the Dungeon. Unlike ordinary electronic devices that will not work when in a Dungeon.

The clock was the most important item especially for the illegal raid as it is today. Because the time inside the Dungeon does not run as it does outside the Dungeon. The time that runs inside a Dungeon is much faster than outside a Dungeon.

For this reason they needed the watch, which ran at the same time as the clock outside the Dungeon, to know when to get out before the Hunter Association raid team arrived.

After pairing the watch on his wrist and pocketing the rest, the raid team leader asked the readiness of his members.

When they were all ready, the team immediately jumped inside the gate, while the team from the black market waited on the ship they moored around the Dungeon gate.
