The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 57 - The Heavy Battle Next

“Me and Gus will pick up the miner team, you go after them to the gate.” Liu Gong said to his two comrades.

Circumstances were abnormal in this Dungeon, making the three Hunters have to split the two teams. Indeed, there are still 10 instructors who are currently with the students. However, there were only 2 C-ranked Hunters there and the rest were only D-ranked Hunters.

“Monster-monster is already near the students,” said Wang Liu Gong again, while showing detection tools on Gina and Gus Stevin.

Gina Stewart and Gus Stevin stared at the detection monitor in Wang Liu Gong's grasp.

There, they can see two large dots in green and red. Green means the Hunter, and red is the monster.

After confirming the existence of the monster, Gina immediately ran towards the black smoke puff that was where the Academy students were.

“Then, I'll be near the gate. You two, go to the miners' team!” Exclaimed Gina who had started to leave from that place, without waiting for an answer from the two of them.

From what the detection device read, the place where the monsters appeared was near the Dungeon gate.

The black smoke puff was definitely the magic energy of the many monsters that had appeared there.

Meanwhile, the situation at the mining team seemed much safer because around the team there had not been any monster magic energy detected.

As professional Hunters, the three Hunters of course knew that the Healer and Tanker were most needed if the state of the raid team's strength was weaker than the monster army.

That's why Gina and Gus Stevin had to split up. Gina preferred to go to the place where the monsters were, because she thought that her skills would be more useful when she arrived there than Gus Stevin. A healer may be more necessary because many may get injured later.

The three Hunters finally went in the opposite direction. Gina headed towards the gate, while Liu Gong and Gus Stevin went towards the mining team.

They ran as fast as they could with the help of the Mana energy they had.

The real Gina Stewart already had a fairly high running speed, using more of her Mana energy to further maximize her speed again.

•••

Meanwhile near the gate, the Hunter-hunters were already preoccupied by the rampage of Golem monsters that were slightly larger in size than the previous Dungeon boss.

Without any preparation, the students of the Academy were fighting chaotically.

The supervisory instructors, who were ranked D on average, looked extremely overwhelmed to protect the students of the Academy. Moreover, they only numbered 10 people.

To protect 17 novice Hunters while protecting themselves, was a very difficult thing to do at the same time.

Moreover, the Dungeon that was originally ranked E had turned into a C rank. Of course, the level of the resident monsters also increased.

The entourage consisting of Instructors and students of the Academy was finally pushed.

The 8 students of the Academy consisting of a Hunter with a Tanker and Warrior class tried desperately to fend off the attacks of one Golem that attacked them with two large hands made of stones.

While the 5 instructors who were also fighting with them, were preoccupied with the interference of the other 2 Golems who were on the back side.

Only able to compensate for the monster's attack for a few minutes, eventually the 8 students began to be pushed back and began to squeeze the instructors who fought back with them.

The 5 instructors whose concentration was divided, finally began to be overwhelmed to fend off the attacks of the 3 Golems, as well as having to protect their students.

°°°

Meanwhile in another area not far from where it was, the 9 Academy students along with 5 instructors also began to be desperate.

The 4 Golems that surrounded them while making a blind attack, pressed them even more and more to begin to be cornered on a stone hill behind them.

“All Mage climb to the top of that hill, do long-range attacks!” Orders Davina, one of the instructors.

Davina who was the only Assassin-class Hunter on the raid team, was fighting against one of the Golems that was starting to be overwhelmed by it.

He was a C ranked Hunter whose level experience point was above most C ranked Hunters. It only takes at least 5 more Dungeon subjugations, then it can already rise to B rank.

However, without them knowing before, the rock hill that had just begun to be climbed by the Hunter-hunters turned out to be a Golem that had a body larger than other Golems. It was a Golem that was camouflaging.

The giant golem that they thought was a rock hill, immediately caught the Hunter-hunters climbing on its body.

6 The novice Hunter who had not had time to escape from the giant Golem's hand-kill was frantically, within the monster's grasp.

Krak.. krak…!

The sound of cracks coming from the thin armor protecting the bodies of the Hunter Mage, made the 6 Hunters that were in the grasp of the giant Golem even more panic.

Cassey Lloyd still has more Mana leftover energy, having consumed the 'magical' pill her mother gave her, trying to burn the grip of the monster hand that made him and the other five beginner Hunters began to experience shortness of breath.

“H-hey, what are you doing?! We'll also burn!” shouted one of the Hunters.

“T-no, what are you doing?! My armor is already destroyed, I cannot resist your fire magic!” yell at the others.

“I want to make his arm burn!” exclaimed Cassey who seemed annoyed with his friends who did not immediately understand what his purpose was.

“It won't affect him!”

Davina who saw her 6 students in great danger, immediately left her fight and jumped onto the arm of the giant Golem.

He started trying to break off the hands of the Golem grasping his 6 students.

Meanwhile, the 4 instructors and 3 students who had been with them, were already preoccupied by the siege of the other Golems that had just arrived.

Crank...crank…!

Davina continued to attack at the same point in hopes of severing the arm of the giant Golem, while sometimes jumping to avoid one of the hands of the giant Golem trying to catch it.

With its enormous body, which was twice the size of the other Golems, the movements of the giant Golem were a bit slow.

After her attempts to sever the arms of the giant Golem have still not come to fruition, Davina is forced to use her special skills to try to cut off the arms of the Golem and save her students.

Stab... stab...!

Sparks of sparks were scattered every time Davina slashed both her daggers at the arms of the giant Golem.

However, his attack only managed to leave a not-so-deep scratch on the monster's arm.

Davina immediately jumped back after seeing the ultimate attack had not worked, to avoid the attack of the giant Golem who was angry after feeling disturbed by the attack.

However, when Davina had just landed her two feet on the ground, another Golem who had previously fought with the woman managed to land her blow on Davina's body.

Bammmm!

“Ugh..!”

Davina bounced quite a distance and fell rolling up to several meters.

°°°

Meanwhile, the six students who were in the grasp of the giant Golem had already started to lose consciousness.

Their faces turned slightly blue from the pressure emanating from the clenches of the giant Golems and were also aggravated by their slightly burnt bodies, by a futile attack from Cassey Lloyd who had intended to make the Golem's arm burn, or at least wanted to make the monster feel the heat in his palm and release them.

At that absolutely precarious moment, a thick black smoke that was a protective Mana energy, suddenly enveloped the entire body of the six students who were beginning to die.

The black smoke also healed the burns they had sustained. All the wounds on their bodies gradually recovered.

“Hold!” exclaimed Gina Stewart who just sent her healing skill to them.

After giving protective buffs and recovery to them, Gina immediately switched to sending buff defense area and healing skills to Hunter-hunters who were in other battle areas that were already very desperate and also seriously injured.

He then approached Davina and also recovered the woman.

“Please get me the weapon of one of our colleagues,” pinta Gina Stewart on Davina, after she recovers it.

“You're going to fight?”

Gina nodded, “No other choice.”

Not taking long to consider Gina's request, Davina immediately moved quickly towards the Golems who were besieging the 11 Hunters who were some distance away from where she and Gina were.

Davina attacked the Golem monsters one by one from the back of the monsters, to reduce their numbers.

This time, Davina attacked with her full strength in order to make a significant impact on the opponent.

He also tried to continue infiltrating in order to quickly get to the middle area of the monster siege, where his colleagues are.

The Golems that were shocked by the impromptu attack, turned their bodies upside down. However, Davina nimblely dodged the monsters and finally managed to arrive near the beleaguered Hunters.

“Lend your sword...,” Davina's pinta on a Tanker.

Without asking or feeling any objection, the Tanker immediately handed the sword to Davina. After all, the weapon he currently wears more often is his large shield compared to the sword he has been holding on his waist. The focus is to protect students who have fallen among them.

After receiving the sword, Davina immediately left them, while occasionally attacking monsters that blocked her path.

Just as agile as before, Davina's body swerved between the Golems trying to catch and hit her, while raising her dagger if she saw an opportunity to attack.

After making it out of the siege of the Golem monsters, Davina ran quickly to get back at Gina.

After being near Gina, he threw the sword at her, then left at his 4 other comrades, who started to fuss over the siege of the Golem while protecting their 3 students.

°°°

Gina Stewart caught the sword that Davina had just thrown, then turned the other way to save the 6 Hunters still in the hands of the Golem.

However, he was not directly able to reach the giant Golem, as other Golems intercepted and attacked him.

Tang... zang...!

Gina managed to fend off the Golem attack with the sword in her hand, then with a rolling motion forward she slashed towards the Golem's feet.

Crang!

It took two strikes to break off one of the Golem legs, which eventually lost its balance and fell.

Although Gina was a Healer, if she used her magic power to fight, her strength would be the same as a C-ranked Hunter or even a beginner B.

After dropping the Golem, Gina rolled over several times to avoid the attack of the recently dropped Golem, who did not seem to want to give up on intercepting the girl.

Not wanting to waste any time facing the Golem, Gina simply ignored him and went towards the giant Golem.

He jumped up and lunged at the Golem that was holding the 6 students mercilessly.

With his martial arts training with Gus Stevin since he was a teenager under the direct direction of his father who was an S-ranked Warrior-class Hunter, Gina is the only Healer who has fighting skills that are not less powerful than a high-class Warrior in City C.

Gina focused on striking the head and eyes of the giant Golem, as well as trying to avoid the hands of the giant Golem trying to catch her.

If it was an ordinary Golem, perhaps Gina could have toppled it earlier.

After a few minutes of repeating the same thing, the giant Golem that was deeply troubled by the attacks of the girl, finally releasing the 6 Hunters that were in his right hand and trying to catch Gina who was jumping on his shoulders and head while continuously trying to aim at the eyes of the giant Golem.
