The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 49 - Elves (2)

“What's up?” Eleanor asked who had just arrived near Fael. He saw Fael's surprised face before throwing a twig in his hand.

“There is poison that comes out with blood from his body.” Fael.

Eleanor saw the twig that Fael had just thrown. The twigs and some leaves at the ends seemed to wither and die afterwards. Not only the twigs and leaves, the green grass underneath was suddenly withered and died.

Fael asks Eleanor to stay away from the corpses near them. At that moment, the poison that spread from the body of the dead Elf, began to spread around the corpse.

As the area of the poison spread wider, Fael and Eleanor finally decided to jump onto the tree branch.

From there they could see around the area where the Elf corpses were blackened. The entire plant around the corpse, withered and died.

Glynka arrived about 2 minutes later. His forehead instantly recruited upon seeing what was happening beneath them.

“What is poison?” Glynka asked while looking at Fael.

“Yes. Their blood contains poison."

“You all right?” Glynka asked again, when she saw the blood on Fael's clothes that she knew came from an Elf who had now become a corpse.

Fael looked at the clothes he was wearing and then at his arm that was splashed with blood.

“I'm fine.” Sahut Fael.

“Will their new blood spread poison after they die?” Guess Eleanor.

Fael nodded. “It looks like so.”

After responding to what Eleanor had just said, Fael turned to her right.

Before long, Eleanor and Glynka were also staring in the same direction.

“They don't even bother to hide the energy of Mana.” Fael. “How many enemies this time?” Fael asked Glynka who had a long distance of sight.

“I don't know.” Glynka.

“They still haven't entered your visibility?”

Glynka. “I mean, they are very much. Probably more than a hundred.”

Fael clucked.

“We just hide. Anyway, you've run out of arrows.”

Eleanor and Glynka nodded.

Just as they were about to leave from that place, a shadow that shot out at high speed approached them.

Fael who could see the presence of the enemy coming while pointing his weapon at Eleanor's neck, instantly pulled out the short sword from her waist.

‘Traaannggg!!!’

It was fortunate that Fael had managed to fend off the surprise attack, otherwise, Eleanor would have already lost her head.

“Away!” Fael shouted that directly jumped onto another branch to prevent the opponent from chasing his two brothers.

The skinny elf chuckled.

“You are indeed very strong, Fael.” Praise the Elves who just came and attacked. He then glanced at Eleanor. “It's a shame that I lost the chance to kill one of the best witches in the Fire Clan.”

“It was the only chance you had.” Sahut Fael in a cold tone.

Cirdan, the opponent who had just appeared before them was again chuckling.

“I don't think the famous Fael from the Fire Clan even became a spy."

Fael hush. He glanced at her side for a moment to look at her two brothers.

“I think you and your two brothers are unlucky. You must not have expected this Wind Clan territory to become a war zone, right? Hahaha.”.

Fael grunts. "What are you laughing at? Aren't you stuck here, too."

Cirdan is puffing and a little embarrassed. "You're right."

Cirdan who was also sent by the Ice Clan to spy on the Wind Clan for the same reason that the Fire Clan had was also being trapped in the territory of the Wind Clan.

As Cirdan seemed to be pondering, Fael used the opportunity to throw a small knife at Cirdan.

Because of the distance they were standing at a distance, Cirdan was able to see the impromptu attack and tilted his body to avoid the attack.

However, from a direction he did not see, a blue fireball came quickly and hit his shoulder.

“Ugh..!”

Cirdan bounced around while patting his burning shoulder to put out the flames that burned his clothes and skin.

However, his gaze was now turned on a sword that was pointing towards his neck.

“Taaaang!!”

Fael's arm was sidetracked as his attack was fended off by a sword that had great magic energy.

Not until there. The elf who had just saved Cirdan's life, was now counterattacking.

Fael jumped back to avoid the attack. Actually, he also wanted to take a pause to recover the state of his hand.

The magic power that had just clashed with him made his right hand that was grasping the sword slightly numb.

"Stop the others, I'll take care of Fael." Nyrna's orders then jump towards Fael.

With magic energy overflowing from his body, the sword blade of Fael changed color from gray to reddish.

"Crank... Crang...!"

The sound of two short swords clashing with power echoed around the battle area between Fael and Nyrna.

With her full strength, Fael was actually slightly superior to Nyrna, but Nyrna's speed that was at a level above Fael, made the female Elf able to keep up with her opponent.

Cirdan, intent on attacking Eleanor and Glynka, was busy dodging the fireballs Eleanor shot at him nonstop.

Unlike the ordinary magician class, Eleanor can fill and fire her blue flames almost without a pause from her two hands.

Eleanor was not too worried about running out of Mana energy, as Glynka who had already run out of arrows gave her a buff to conserve Mana energy.

The battle of the five Elves was taking place in a high place among the giant trees.

Many branches of the tree through which the sword slashes of Fael and Nyrna are now falling.

While the trees that received the impact of Eleanor's attack that Cirdan managed to avoid, began to burn.

Because it was busy fighting, the 5 Elves were unaware of the arrival of another opponent. They were the owners of the Wind Clan territory.

The hundreds of purple-bodied Elves who had just arrived, stared at the fierce fight of the 5 Elves who had leaped from the branch of one tree to the other.

Their leader then ordered the Elf archers to prepare a bow, while the Elf mages were also ready to attack.

“Strike!” Exclaimed the purple-bodied Elf leader. He was the head of the Wind Clan.

When the order was given, hundreds of arrows shot towards the top of the tree where the 5 Elves were busy fighting.

By having arrow skills that have been trained since a young age, Elves can shoot at least 3 arrows in 1 bowstring.

In addition, their shots almost never missed the target, especially with their distance now being very close.

Seeing the coming rain of arrows, the 5 Elves who were fighting instantly stopped their attacks between one and the other and went to take cover behind the trees.

However, their shelter instantly disappeared as the trees were broken by the sudden windstorm.

That whirlwind was an attack just carried out by the magical Elves of the Wind Clan.

When the hideout of the 5 Elves was revealed, arrows rained down on them again.

The five Elves quickly moved to take shelter back between the trunk and the tree branch.

That was the only way to survive the hundreds of arrows all aiming right at each of their bodies.

The same thing repeats itself. As they hid, the typhoon again obliterated their hiding place.

Not wanting to exhaust the mana resources and energy of his troops, the purple-bodied Elf leader of the Wind Clan ordered his troops to stop attacking.

The Elf leader then summoned 3 other Elves who were his warlords.

“Server them.” The command of the Elf leader while pointing at the place where Eleanor, Glynka and Cirdan were.

After giving his order, the Elf leader unsheathed his sword and jumped towards where Fael and Nyrna were.

Seeing the leader of the Wind Clan coming towards them, Fael and Nyrna glanced at each other and nodded their heads.

They knew that if they had to fight one-on-one with the leader of the Wind Clan, they would definitely lose. So they decided to work together.

The Elf leader attacked Fael first.

Fael, who did not want to fight, avoided the attack by jumping to the left, to stay away from Nyrna's position. He and Nyrna have a plan to attack their opponent from two different directions in order to interfere with their concentration.

The leader of the Wind Clan Elves chased after him. He slashed his sword back at Fael. However, this time his attack was accompanied by a huge magic energy that caused a wave of wind on each sword.

Fael was able to dodge the attack, but not the wind wave that distorted the air around him.

Fael's body seemed to be trapped in an invisible air space, then swayed udders without being able to control.

Nyrna saw the opportunity as the leader of the Wind Clan's Elf turned his back on her.

With his full strength, Nyrna then unleashed his attack.

From the tip of his sword, appeared an ice magic blade that instantly shot rapidly towards the nape of the leader of the Wind Clan Elves.

You know there will be an attack backing him, the Elf leader moves aside.

He then glanced and smiled cunningly at Nyrna, who was now looking at her ice blade with glaring eyes.

The ice bar that contained that huge magic energy, flew far away towards Fael who was being trapped in the wind skill of the opposing Elf leader.

Surprised by his misdirected attack, Nyrna belatedly realizes the arrival of the Elf leader's sword which is now heading to his neck.

The attack came very quickly. Nyrna would even die without even having a chance to blink her eyes, when she was already resigned to her death.

However, Nyrna felt the surrounding air suddenly warp, then the circumstances around her changed.

Nyrna turned to her right and left where Eleanor, Glynka, Cirdan, and even Fael were already there.

He then looked at the back of someone who was standing on their back, facing the leader of the Wind Clan Elves.
