The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 104 - Retaliation On Cassey

Everyone was puzzled when they finally realized the disappearance of the three people.

In fact, Wang Zhu Ming who had previously held Brandon Lloyd tightly, was shocked when he felt his fingers tightly grasping Brandon's arms being forcefully opened with an extremely terrifying force.

If Wang Zhu Ming had been forced to fight him, he was sure that his fingers would break. That was why he finally let go of his grasp.

While everyone is still confused looking around them to find the whereabouts of Anna, Cassey and Brandon Lloyd, their attention is finally turned on the giant monitor that became the stage background.

Welcome posts that previously filled the screen, replaced with a video show that they know is the result of CCTV camera shots.

Cassey and Brandon Lloyd are shocked to find themselves suddenly in a luxurious room completely different from the banquet hall.

Surprised, they ignored Anna for a few seconds and only regained consciousness when they heard Anna speak.

“This is the sixth floor in Asian Soul.” restaurant Anna's words that restored Cassey and Brandon's consciousness.

“This is the same place as the place of torture that your daughter did to your other daughter,” Anna spoke while staring intently at Brandon Lloyd.

“A-anna... K-you're alive?” the question came out of Cassey's mouth.

Anna turned her gaze to Cassey.

A feeling of sadness just flowed in his heart when he looked directly right at his half-sister.

Ever since Anna recalled what Cassey had done to her, she actually couldn't decide what to do to Cassey. For this reason Anna only scares her step-sister by pretending to be a ghost.

However, Anna tried to harden her heart and spoke indifferently, “You are funny. Why are you asking with such a trembling voice after you previously wanted to attack me? Didn't you just use all your strength to pull me?”

While enduring the pain on his right shoulder. Cassey again spoke, "It's not so..”.

“You seem to be a showman.” Anna's voice was quick, cutting out Cassey's sentence.

“Anna!” Jerky Brandon. He then ran to Anna.

When the middle-aged man was close to Anna, he immediately tried to catch the two shoulders of the girl. However, a kick preceded Brandon's ambush and floated into his chest.

Bukkkk!!!

Brandon Lloyd bounced as far as the distance of the room that has a length of 12 meters.

His body hit hard against the wall of the room and then crashed equally hard onto the floor.

Cassey looked up at the incident. He had not expected a weak F-rank Hunter like Anna to be able to catapult the body of an A-rank Hunter so easily.

In fact, not just easily. Brandon's body flew very fast. Had there not been a wall in the way, perhaps his father's body would have flown even further.

In addition, a loud bang hit the wall of the room, proving how loud the kick Anna threw.

Anna tried to ignore the fearful face that adorned Cassey's face, and continued to try to harden her heart.

Anna took one of the chairs from under the table and threw it at Cassey who swiftly caught it with just one hand.

Anna then took another chair and sat on it.

“Sit.” Pinta Anna with an indifferent tone.

Cassey wanted to throw the chair back hard on Anna, if she had not seen Anna's power that could easily fly Brandon Lloyd.

Forcibly, Cassey complied and they sat facing a distance away.

“That time, I asked. Why did you do that to me, but you didn't answer that at all and continued to torture me,” Anna spoke while looking intently at Cassey's eyes. “Now, I want to know.”

Cassey's silent. He did not understand why Anna had to bother to ask him that question again. In fact, if he wanted revenge, Anna should be able to just beat him up.

Meanwhile, Anna was also silent as she continued to watch Cassey. She didn't actually need that answer because she knew Cassey was doing it out of jealousy, and had held back her long-standing hatred as a half-sister.

Anna just wanted to buy some time to stay in this place for the next few minutes. It took some time for everyone in the banquet hall to finish watching the CCTV footage Miyuki was broadcasting.

Since Cassey did not answer the question, Anna spoke again. “If you don't answer, I'll change the question. So, is the kind and caring attitude you gave me since childhood just a play?”

The second question made Cassey uncomfortable as she tried to recall her feelings while growing up with her half-sister.

Feeling like he was being played, Cassey stood up. Wanting to attack his stepbrother, but the detached joints of his hands and his father's crawling body trying to get up from the floor, had given clarity how far their current power difference was. That led Cassey to abandon his intentions.

“Anna!” Brandon again snapped while trying to get up.

Both knees were shaking violently. All he received was a kick. However, there was a powerful magic energy left in his body that made the entire bones in his body feel extremely pained.

Without Brandon noticing, the magic energy Anna had left him through the kick earlier, made Brandon's Mana energy evaporate from his body. That thin smoke-like Mana energy slowly evaporated leaving the middle-aged man's body.

With trembling steps, Brandon walked slowly to approach Anna who was looking at him with a look of disdain.

“You son of a bitch! What dare you do to your father?!” as he walked, Brandon cursed.

“Mr Lloyd, don't try to talk rudely to me. Now, I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for you.” Anna said without any emotion from the tone of her voice, different from when she spoke to Cassey.

“Thank you not! I'm your father!”

“Hah? Oh. you're right. You made me exist in the world. But you just made it and never remembered that I was there after that.” Anna then smiled cynically.

Anna spoke again, “You remember when you ever spoke like a father and son to me?”

Brandon was about to snap again, but he suddenly felt his throat as if it was gripped by an intangible force.

His body floated slowly leaving the floor of the room and flew towards Anna.

After their remaining distance of about 2 meters, Barandon's body slammed violently onto the floor to make both kneecaps crack.

Brandon couldn't even use his Mana energy to protect himself.

“You don't talk too much. I've no respect for you in the least. I brought you here just to give time to the people in the hall to watch the CCTV footage of the persecution that your dearest daughter did to me.”

Anna then stood up and approached Brandon Lloyd, “Master Lloyd. Now that I just realized, it turns out you are not as valuable as I used to think.”

“Anna..!”

Bukkkk!!!

Anna punched Brandon Lloyd in the thigh, causing her thigh bone to break instantly.

“Arghhh..

Bukkk!!! Kraakk!!!

Anna kicked back, this time on Brandon's jaw, breaking him and the bottom of his mouth fell open.

“A-anna... What did you do to our father?”

“He's your father. Might as well. To be sure, after I thought about it for a few weeks, he doesn't feel like a father.” Anna said indifferently.

“Anna..," Cassey started crying. In his life, only this time he felt afraid of someone.

"Do you know why I beat him?" anna asked as she pointed at Brandon Lloyd who was lying on the floor and moaning in pain.

Brandon's eyes widened, staring at Anna with a look of hatred mixed with anger.

He wanted to yell and scream, but could not do so because his mouth was wide open and could not clench.

Because Cassey never spoke up, Anna spoke again, "That day, I saw you like a psychopath who continued to torture me without even explaining the cause. Or the... Have you told me the reason? I forget. You beat my head so many times back then."

Anna forced a smile, before returning to speak.

"Now, what do you think? I'm just showing you the same thing you did. Does this look really bad? If so, why did you do it to me?"

Cassey cried even harder, then fell to the floor.

The sentence that Anna spoke was complemented by her cold tone, making Cassey's body tremble violently and finally fall limp.

The scene before him, gave the girl a mental attack.

Cassey realized, if Anna could torture an A rank Hunter that easily, Anna could also do the same to her much more easily.

If Anna had a grudge against him, why wouldn't she do it?

That's the thought that came to Cassey's mind that made him lose the confidence to be able to run from this place.

Anna approached Cassey and sat down in the chair that Cassey had been sitting in, while Cassey sat on her knees on the floor looking at Brandon with horror in his heart.

"I probably wouldn't have beaten him like that if he had been quiet and didn't upset me until the CCTV footage was over."

Anna grunts.

“But, actually I am also grateful for beating him up. Do you know why it was grandpa and not him who took me and my mom to the Lloyd family?"

Anna was silent for a moment as she continued to stare at Brandon Lloyd who was still looking at her angrily. The man even started crying. Not because of fear or because of hearing what Anna said, the middle-aged man cried because he could not vent his anger on Anna because he was helpless to wake up and beat the girl.

Anna knew Cassey would not answer her questions out of fear and kept crying. So, she went back to talking, "My mother used to be raped by her. So, I am the son of this man's contempt. Grandpa who was ashamed to have a child like her, finally took us to live in Lloyd's residence and married my mother to her,"

"Did you know that already? Did your playboy uncle never tell you?"

Cassey didn't dare to tell him. He's never known that before. He just continued to cry as he stared at the marble floor below his knees.

“The thing I remember so much is when my mother died. This man was not even present at the funeral and reasoned that he should go to the Dungeon, as it was more important to keep the citizens safe. Doesn't that sound like a silly joke? It's for the sake of business, not for citizens."

Cassey continued to cry without daring to raise her head in the slightest. Although she does not remember the incident, Cassey knows what Anna is saying is the real thing. He knew his father put his business and dignity ahead of anything.

Hearing Cassey's shrill voice growing louder, Anna finally stood up and walked up to him crouching right in front of her.

Anna held onto the detached part of Cassey's joint, then with one move, Anna reattached it.

Anna then held Cassey's face with both hands, on the girl's cheeks and then spoke softly to her, “Since I woke up from a coma, I've always thought about what I should do to you. You know, you've been so kind and loving to me since we were kids, even though you used to say that you actually had to."

"Actually the affection you have left me since we were children has incriminated me to avenge the only evil deeds you have done to me, even if your evil actions have caused...," Anna thought again about what she was going to say. She almost said that she was actually dead and alive again in the body of another person who was very similar to her, but Anna put it away and changed her sentence, "You caused me to almost die."

"You left me a lot of good memories. If you'd been mean to me since we were kids, I probably wouldn't have grown up with the confidence I have today."

Anna sighed softly, then continued her sentence, "Since I decided to confront you guys face to face, I never thought of replying to what you did with the same thing. I just have a grudge against that guy."

Anna embraces Cassey and pulls him to her feet.

"Now, you'd better turn yourself in and reflect on what you've done. Consider this time I avenge the good deeds you gave me since childhood. If I knew you were repeating what you did to me again to someone else, I would feed you to the monsters in the Dungeon."
