The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 134 - Threatened Danger (2)

However, Gina could only feel relieved for a moment.

Every living creature has an instinct to survive. Same with those ancient creatures.

Without caring for friends who drowned and were carried away by the current, Raptors who arrived at the river later immediately trampled their friends to be used as a foothold jumping to the river bank.

Seeing the movement of the Raptor who was trying to save himself, Gina gave a warning to the team members who were still trying to swim to the river bank.

“Be careful, they are following behind you!” gina shouted from the riverbank.

However, along with Gina's words, a Raptor who was near one of the Hunters, immediately attacked and bit the body of the poor Hunter.

Getting a sudden attack, Hunter who was still in the water panicked and thrashed while trying to beat the Raptor who attacked him with all his might.

“Sial! It was difficult to help him while still in the water,” umpat Gina while looking at Hunter who was attacked with worry.

Shortly after, the other 3 Raptors arrived above the river and immediately used the bodies of their comrades who could not swim as a foothold.

The three Raptors jumped by stepping on the head and body of the herd to go to the riverbank.

Upon arrival at the riverbank, the three creatures immediately attacked the Hunter-hunters who were already on the riverbank, who were still waiting for some of their colleagues to swim towards the edge.

The three Tankers who happened to be already on the mainland, directly advanced to block the Raptor. They instantly strengthened their aggro skills to lure monsters into attacking them.

However, the Raptor was not affected. The difference in magic energy is quite large, making the magic of the Tankers does not work on the three ancient creatures.

The three Raptors then split into 3 different directions to attack different Hunter groups, such as not wanting to share prey.

Gina furrowed both of her brows as she looked in the direction where the Raptors were attacking.

“Can they know who the weakest Mana energy owner is?” thought Gina, upon realizing each Raptor was approaching and attacking a D rank Hunter-hunter and only passing a C rank Hunter that was actually closer than where they had been before.

Gina sent healing skills to the 7 weakest Hunters in the team she saw being targeted by the Raptor, including Hunter who was trying desperately to escape from the Raptor in the middle of the river.

Seeing their comrades being attacked, the Hunter who was already on the ground certainly did not let their friend just like that.

The Hunter-hunters directly attacked the 3 Raptors and attempted to save their comrades who were brutally attacked.

A small battle without strategy ended up going fiercely on the river bank.

The Raptors who had agility as well as Mana energy higher than the Hunters, did not take long to surpass the small battle.

Hunter who did not manage to overcome the resistance of the Raptor, immediately made prey. The Raptor bit and severed Hunter's limbs that could not focus, as a result of fighting with excessive fear.

Seeing that the Hunter-hunter was already severely injured, Gina immediately used the last stage special skill she had and sent it to everyone in her team. It was a body regeneration magic.

With Gina's magic protected, each time the Raptor bites and pulls to the point of breaking off the hands or feet of its prey, their severed limbs quickly regenerate.

Gina only hoped that the Raptor would not disconnect the heads of his comrades, as he was confident that his magic would not regenerate the head that had been severed from the neck, he said, although he had never seen it directly because of the skill he just had.

Knowing the opponent can grow the hand they are after as food, the Raptor instead looks happy and continues to bite and chew quickly ‘eatnya’.

Gina wished the Raptors a glut, but it never came.

°°°

Philip Cardis and Davina are doing a wiggle on one Raptor. They saw the Hunter screaming in fear as the Raptor brutally attacked. Philip and Davina took the initiative to save the Hunter first.

The threat-sensing Raptor immediately releases its prey and puts up a fight on Philip and Davina. He attacked them both with his long tail.

When Davina was close to striking her neck, the Raptor was able to fend off Davina's attack with her two short hands that had long, pointed nails.

Although Philip and Davina ganged on the Raptor, but the difference in their strength made the Raptor can compensate for the second Hunter attack well.

Fortunately, the uninterrupted attacks that Philip and Davina carried out finally gave the previously tortured Hunter Raptor a chance to save themselves.

°°°

Although now the Hunter's body has also been protected by Gina's skill, it still makes it frustrating.

In addition to being disturbed because his hand was constantly disconnected and continued to regenerate very quickly, small explosions due to attacks from Mage-type Hunters on the Raptor's body also disturbed him.

Mage-class Hunters with long-range attacks constantly tried to bombard the Raptors with their skills, in order to save the poor Hunter.

Until finally, the Mage's struggle bore fruit.

The troubled Raptor protected himself while trying to float, eventually seriously injured. He released his bite from the Hunter that was his target earlier, before finally drifting away by the river current.

Gus Stevin immediately ran up to the poor Hunter who had just escaped the Raptor's brutality and had already arrived by the river. Gus immediately brings the Hunter to Gina, who has since focused on protecting her comrades with healing magic.

“Staying to be here, we have to get rid of those three Raptors first.” Gus told the Hunter.

However, Gina stops the new Gus from going to help her comrades. “Gus, take Frank to the gate now.”

Frank is a Hunter who has just escaped the Raptor rampage in the river and has just been brought by Gus to nearby Gina.

“Hah? But..., what about you guys?”

“Already, just follow what I ask.” Sahut Gina while looking at Gus Stevin meaningfully.

Seeing Gina's gaze, Gus Stevin finally glanced at Frank who he had just realized looked extremely pale and frightened, with a body trembling violently.

He finally looked back at Gina, “B-okay.” Gus Stevin said with a little stuttering, a little infected with Frank's fear.

Gina could see fear from Frank's eyes, the D-ranked Hunter, who stood trembling nearby.

This raid was the first professional raid that Frank Arnold followed and unfortunately he had to experience bad events like the one he had just experienced.

How not, both hands and feet are repeatedly broken pulled by the Raptor bite and many times also Gina skill regenerates both hands and feet.

Although both his hands and feet had regenerated, the pain he felt when the flesh on his body was torn apart and his bones were detached from his body, it must have been extremely painful and agonizing. Not to mention the horrified feeling he experienced when he had to see the Raptor chewing on his limbs that had just been severed from his place.

Perhaps, Frank would have a deep trauma once he got out of this Dungeon.

°°°

“Hai Frank, relax." Gina looked at Frank Arnold. He was currently unable to freely move because he had to focus on protecting his comrades with magic that kept flowing from both hands. So, he could only stare at the Hunter in hopes of giving it some spirit.

Frank Arnold tried to calm himself down and looked at Gina who he knew was forcing a smile on him, even though the girl herself had a tense face.

“Gus will take you to the gate. Please ask for help on...” Gina wants to name Anna, but she knows Anna may still be inside the Dungeon to keep an eye on the third team. “Seek Kevin Jung for help and ask him to also bring an avatar hunter with him. Tell that to the supervisory team in front of the gate.”

Frank nodded.

It was not that Gina thought more about Frank's interests that she asked the Hunter to go first to the gate.

Excessive anxiety that appears on Frank's face will be fatal if they later have to fight using strategy and done in a team.

A Hunter who is not ready to fight will undermine the cooperation of the team and will eventually put the entire team in danger.

After Gina finished telling Frank her request, Gus Stevin grabbed Frank by the arm and asked him to go with her.

Before leaving, Gus looked at Gina once more and spoke to her, “Be careful. I'll be right back after delivering Frank.” Gus Stevin said with a worried look at Gina.

Gina did not reply to Gus' words, but she forced a smile to respond.
