The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 61 - Unwanted Visitors

In a car Wang Liu Gong was riding in, when someone he hadn't seen for a long time gave him a ride…

The visibly upset Jester Bailey turned to the driver who had lost an important person he was supposed to take to the Hunter Association for interrogation.

“So, he went straight away as we went to the Dungeon gate?”

“Ya, sir. The Master said it would help you and your friend to close the Dungeon," said the driver slightly nervously along with his puzzled face.

Jester hit his own thigh to quell his anger.

The driver was certainly innocent of Rudyard Lau's passing. He was just a hired driver, who had no idea of the affair between Jester and Rudyard.

“What happened?” Liu Gong asked who was sitting at the back, in the passenger seat.

“There's a problem. But we've lost the suspect.” Jester's Law.

He then glanced at the rearview mirror near his head and looked at Wang Liu Gong from there.

“You look thinner, friend.” Said Jester sitting next to the driver.

Liu Gong smiled bitterly.

“Many jobs lately.” Wang Liu Gong.

“Still about Association and Academy?”

Wang Liu Gong stared into the rearview mirror and his gaze met with Jester's gaze. Liu Gong was a bit unhappy with the question Jester had asked that he already knew his direction and purpose.

“I really enjoy my work. It was so much fun" said Liu Gong who then turned his gaze outside the window and stared blankly at the buildings they passed by.

“But the responsibility you carry is huge if things happen like that, right?” Said Jester who then sighed softly.

Jester was wrong.

Wang Liu Gong massaged the temple with the tip of his index finger. He then recalled and thought of the incident that had just happened to the raid team he captained.

The Dungeon that had been conquered, suddenly changed levels with new monsters popping up like it was a thing that had never happened before.

“Genesis like that was really very unpleasant, have you ever heard of something like that happening?” Liu Gong asked back.

Jester shook his head, “I also just first saw it and never heard anything like it before.”

Wang Liu Gong turned to the person sitting next to him, but the man seemed to be unwilling to speak.

Since then, he had been staring at the spear in his hand. The spear was long enough to disturb Liu Gong a bit because both of his legs had to coincide with the base of the spear.

Liu Gong then recalled back to the Academy admission examinee who had almost pierced his neck. Without realizing it, his hand that was massaging his eyes, turned and rubbed his neck that had been injured by the girl's spear eyes.

'Am I traumatized just because of that? I even nearly died in a Dungeon but don't remember much anymore.'

“What is your real reason for preferring Association?”

Finally Jester Bailey asked what he had always wanted to ask. The thing that Wang Liu Gong had always avoided, when Jester Bailey asked him over the phone or a short message.

Actually, the entire Wang family was also curious about what made Wang Liu Gong prefer as a small-income Hunter rather than joining the famous and number one Guild in Southeast Asia, Gold Dragon.

Moreover, Gold Dragon was a family Guild that had always been the goal of the entire Wang family members who had undergone a revival, to devote their lives as a professional Hunter.

Even Wang Zhu Ming who was usually cold and indifferent to the point of glancing at his cousin sitting next to him.

Meanwhile Jester Bailey looked at Wang Liu Gong until he finally turned his body back to face and looked directly at his old friend.

Jester was really worried about Liu Gong.

He and Wang Liu Gong were friends since High School and they together graduated from Hunter Academy in the capital.

In contrast to Wang Liu Gong who was following his family moving to City C, Jester Bailey joined the main Gold Dragon Guild, in the capital.

While the real Wang Liu Gong was also expected to be one of the mainstay Hunters of the Gold Dragon Guild in the branch Guild that was in City C, he was also expected to be one of the mainstay Hunters of the Gold Dragon Guild in the branch Guild, for some reason it suddenly preferred to join the Association as the Hunter Association, the Hunter Association, to make his extended family furious and expel him and then cut him off from the list of family heirs who have been hereditary to build and develop their two big companies, namely the Gold Dragon guild and Asian Soul restaurant.

Wang Liu Gong, who has not been to a family meeting since 8 years ago, never revealed the reason for not choosing to join the number one largest company in Southeast Asia owned by the Wang family that many in the desire of every Hunter in Southeast Asia to join in it.

Wang Liu Gong recalled the first time he had arrived in City C.

At that time, he was actually eager to help his family to develop the Gold Dragon branch guild in C City when his father had just been appointed as the new chairman to replace the old chairman in the guild.

However, after a few months passed, he finally learned that there were things his father and brother did not necessarily do to the previous chairman that made the old chairman was finally ousted from office.

At that time he had already tried to ask 'the thing' to his father and brother, but they asked him to remain silent.

Wang Liu Gong who was unhappy with his father and brother's actions finally decided to report it to the Hunter Association, but because the evidence of his father and brother's actions completely disappeared, he finally gave up.

From just dabbling to match up to the new confusion, Liu Gong finally really liked it.

“I just love it. That's it.” Liu Gong then turned to Wang Zhu Ming who was sitting next to him.

The gaze Wang Zhu Ming felt, made him uneasy and turned to him.

"And you, why are you suddenly in C City?” ask Liu Gong. He had actually been curious since he first met Zhu Ming inside the Dungeon earlier.

“You really broke up with your family? It has been since two weeks ago the head office informed you that Zhu Ming and I will be in City C at least within 2 months.” The familiar Jester Bailey voice seemed like Wang Zhu Ming would not answer that question.

Seeing Liu Gong just nodding and not responding to what he had just said, Jester Bailey let out a sigh and leaned his body on the chair.

“You don't even want to know what we're going to do here..” said Jester Bailey quietly.

“I have no dealings with the Wang family, so I have no right to know, let alone ask.” Wang Liu Gong.

“One of our main goals to City C is to investigate the untrue things that it seems like uncle Xu Chan and Chu Gong did 8 years ago.” Wang Zhu Ming who had been silent since then suddenly spoke and it caused a reaction that the man had already guessed from Liu Gong.

Wang Liu Gong straightened his sitting position and turned to Wang Zhu Ming with his eyes widened.

“K-you already know that?!”

After arriving at the parking area of the Hunter Association's office, Wang Liu Gong, who had an office on a different floor from where his old friend and cousin had been, finally split up.

As they finally promised, the talk of their father and brother in the car was kept secret until Wang Zhu Ming and Jester Bailey found the evidence.

For some reason, even though Wang Xu Chan and Wang Chu Gong were his own father and siblings, he was very excited to open up to the crime they had committed 8 years ago.

After they separated, Wang Liu Gong went straight to his office which was on the 2nd floor of the Association building, while Wang Zhu Ming and Jester Bailey went straight to meet the Association Chairman.

When Liu Gong arrived at the floor where his division office was located, his secretary who was in front of his room told him that there had been someone waiting for him in his room since.

Liu Gong was a little suspicious because he had not previously had an appointment to meet anyone and that made him enter his room immediately.

The man who looked so tacky immediately stood up from the sofa when he saw Wang Liu Gong appear from behind the door.

Stretching out his hands, the man who had a burly body and broad shoulders greeted Liu Gong.

“My little sister, has not met for a long time.. How are you?”.

Greet the man who was Liu Gong's biological brother, Wang Chu Gong.

Seeing who his guest was, Wang Liu Gong's eyes were red with anger.

'Among my many acquaintances, why should this rotten brother visit me?!'

She disliked her brother so much not only because of the actions that her brother did 8 years ago, but also because of his actions and gestures that deviated from the laws of the Association after him.

Wang Liu Gong walked over, stood face to face with his brother and spoke in a displeased tone.

“What are you doing here?”

Wang Chu Gong laughed. He took a step around Wang Liu Gong while pretending to look around the room.

“I just want to visit my sister's simple room because I happen to have some business here" he said and looked back at Wang Liu Gong. “And again, haven't we seen each other for a long time?” He added, who then grinned.

“You've seen my room, now go.”

Liu Gong held back his anger. His fists clenched beside his body. He did not know who would end up as the victor if they were to duel.

His older brother was an A-rated Tank-class Hunter, while he was himself an A-rated Warrior. Perhaps, they would only fight in balance if the former only used his defensive skills.

“Ow... ow.. ow....”.

Chu Gong leaned his body towards Liu Gong and lowered his color glasses slightly, to stare directly at the two eyes of his sister.

“I won't kick you out if you mess in my office.” He said, and then he laughed.

Chu Gong who was the Hunter of the Gold Dragon guild of C City was also trusted by the Wang family as the CEO of the branch Asian Soul restaurant, in C City.

When he saw that Liu Gong was not responding to his words, Chu Gong spoke to his sister again.

“There are some empty seats in Asian Soul if you want to join me, your life will not be too simple.” Said Wang Chu Gong who then left the room while leaving behind a voice of laughter that he made.

Liu Gong stared at the door that had just closed. He did not understand what purpose Wang Chu Gong had for meeting him. However, from what the man had just said, he knew there must be things not right contained in it.
