The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 96 - The Nature of Anna

Anna and her friends are immediately rejected by the Academy secretary when she asks for permission to meet Jo Fizer, the head of the Academy.

Although Anna insisted on having the secretary contact the head of the Academy, she refused.

"Mr Meyers, I've really made an appointment with Mr. Fizer. You can ask him directly." Anna insisted.

Actually Chris Meyers, the Academy secretary, did not really care whether Anna had made an appointment or not.

Had it been true, Chris was also not too afraid of the head of the Academy who he thought had less support than him, before the Academy board.

Actually, Chris did want to call Anna to his office related to the problem that the girl made with the daughter of one of his colleagues, the Williams family. And it just so happened that they met in front of the head of the Academy's room.

So, instead of bringing Anna together with the head of the Academy, Chris wanted to directly drag the girl into his own office.

"Siswi Anna, right? How about you come to my office first?"

Anna frowned as she looked at the man with a full-fledged look.

The man's face indicated there was hidden intent behind his offer, until Anna suspected him a little.

"Is there anything important you want to talk about? I have urgent needs with the head of the Academy." Sahut Anna's.

Hearing the words, which he thought, were less polite than the snot girl before him, Chris Meyers was about to get angry. However, in order to keep his wibawa, he ended up forcing a bland smile on his lips.

"Do you think it's polite to talk to someone much older than you, Anna's student?"

Anna laughed when she got the question. Those words were ordinary sentences that he often heard when someone asked that he be appreciated as an adult.

"Mr Meyers. We are not in a family that should uphold age. We are in a social society that has equal status in its own interests. If you're feeling more polite, why don't you tell me directly your purpose of taking me to your office while I have affairs with the other party?"

After Anna finished her sentence, Lucy, Yola and Ren looked at each other. They did not expect Anna to be brave and could express her opinion to someone who was much older and also had a high position in the Academy.

It is different with Bimo. Bimo already knew Anna very well and knew what kind of tongue Anna had when she was arguing.

In the Lloyd family, Anna is the only child with a dangerous tongue compared to her three half-siblings.

Robin is a quiet man, Cassey is known for his friendliness and meekness, while Andrew is a submissive boy.

Anna was famous for her very slippery speech. However, Bimo knows that Anna is actually a girl who is light-handed in helping others.

"Sissy Anna!" Chris Meyers snapped.

“I have a very big dream for the future of City C, even Southeast Asia. And it starts from today, Mr. Meyers.” Said Anna. He began to speak impatiently.

“You know, sometimes criminals are born from a good boy who wants to take care of everything in a good way, but it is blocked by adults who feel themselves wise and too feel to be important.”

"Siswi Anna, why are you talking bouncy? I'm being..."

"You wanted to take me to your room and intimidate me with the Williams princess right? It's a trivial issue that I don't consider important. Because I know, you got the report wrong. Why don't you investigate the truth first and then talk about it after my business and the head of the Academy are done?"

Chris Meyers was shocked when Anna could guess his intentions correctly.

Unbeknownst to Chris, Anna was able to hear the man and the Williams family talking over the phone while Anna was in the Academy's headroom.

Anna stared intently at Chris Meyers eyes.

Uncomfortable with that gaze, the fat man turned his gaze then glanced at the student standing behind Anna while smiling sinisterly at them.

He then looked at Anna with a look of disdain and seemed to be indifferent to the words of the student who only considered as a person who had just gained fame and became arrogant afterwards.

Chris Meyers laughed. Laughs that look very forced.

“Siswi Anna, I know you are talented. But, being arrogant just because you managed to subvert a beginner rank C, you judge yourself too high.” Chris Meyers said, forcing his smile. He was actually holding back the anger that started to overflow in his heart.

Chris judged the arrogance as Anna showed it was common to see. The pride of a teenager who has not known the real Hunter world.

Chris then looked at the entire crowd standing behind Anna one by one to remember their faces. Since he felt that he had been humiliated, then he intended to make calculations on all of them later on.

Chris' gaze paused on Bimo Gandri and was a little confused to see the man carrying a mannequin on his back.

Chris spoke again, “And why do you all have to skip the morning lesson? Is following him more important than following a lesson that is very useful for your future?” chris said, trying to advise them all to get rid of their embarrassment.

Anna wanted to tell him again, but she felt that the presence of someone she had been waiting for was not far from them. So he stayed quiet.

“Come back to your class, it's still not too late to take a lesson.” Chris commands by trying to speak as gently as possible.

However, the 4 people who had since stood behind Anna did not budge from their place at all.

Bimo and Yola, of course, prefer to obey Anna. In addition to their debt to Anna, Bimo has always been loyal to her parents.

Lucy's? He just doesn't like it if he has to obey people who in his eyes seem like a greedy person who acts wise.

Anna had already raised one hand and was about to point it at Chris Meyers. But coinciding with that, Jo Fizer finally arrived.

“Sissary Anna! Hold first!” jo Fizer shouted as he ran over to them.

An instructor who saw the small commotion had already contacted Jo Fizer earlier. So, the real Jo Fizer had already arrived at the parking lot, finally running quickly to his office.

Upon arriving near them, Jo Fizer stared intently at Chris Meyers. The gaze that made the man shudder when he met looked at her.

‘What's up? Why is he staring at me like this?’

“Do not mess with him!” Snapped Jo growling and held back her tone so as not to shout loudly at the Academy secretary.

'Fortunately I arrived on time. Otherwise, perhaps he had already died because his folly provoked the anger of an inappropriately young teenager.'

Jo then looked at Anna. The look on his face that had previously looked angry, instantly turned 180° when he looked at Anna.

After smiling, Jo speaks, “Siswi Anna, come with me into.” Take Jo along while pointing towards the door of her room.

After talking to Anna, Jo turned her head back to Chris who was still standing frozen behind her. “Follow to the inside, we need you to set up virtual monsters.”

“Mr Fizer, we don't need him.” Anna said, before Chris could answer Jo's request.

“But, we need Mr. Meyers to set up a virtual monster with the power of its original quarter monster.” Jo Fizer told me why they needed the man.

“We don't need it. In fact, I would like to ask you to set up his virtual monsters to be on par with a C rank Dungeon or at least D.” pinta Anna.

“What?”

Jo Fizer is wide. However, when he remembered that the prospective student who was going to take the exam was an S-ranked novice Hunter, then he agreed.

“Pak head, are you sure you will open the after-acceptance exam?” The new Chris Meyers realized the situation, reminded Jo Fizer.

Although Jo is the head of the Academy, to open the after-admission exam requires permission from all members of the Academy's board.

Chris is convinced that Jo has not yet held a meeting to vote on whether or not the follow-up exams can be done, given that none of the people from the Academy board have come with him.

“Voting board is not required. I think they will be able to understand it if they already know who the prospective students will take the exam.” Jo Fizer cold.

Actually, it wasn't because of Chris' attitude towards Anna that made Jo look blatantly dislike Chris Meyers, she did not like the Academy secretary from the start.

Because of the political interests of a few people, Chris was chosen as the Academy's secretary.

“Master Fizer. Instead of you prioritizing the interests of these students, you should take care of the Williams family report first.”

Jo Fizer finally turned his body and stared intently at Chris' eyes.

“Mr Meyers. You didn't hear the news? Mr. Williams was arrested by the Association last night. So, instead of you thinking about their problems, you better think about your position first." Said Jo who then smiled cynically. He knew that with Maxim Williams in prison, support for Chris would drop dramatically.

Jo continued to speak, "And again, it seems that the report you received regarding Anna's bad actions on the Williams family's daughter was the exact opposite. Have you investigated it properly?"

“A-what…? But, Mr. Fizer we can't.”.

“Can we talk later? I already have an appointment on this young Hunter-hunter.” Cut Jo Fizer.

Jo Fizer finally turned back and looked at Anna, then forced his smile on the girl.

“Siswi Anna, is she a prospective student who will take her exam?” jo Fizer asked as he glanced at Bimo Gandri who had come in wearing no Academy uniform.

“Ya, Mr. Fizer.” Anna who then returned her smile with a gentle smile.

“Then, since there is no need to make the virtual monster ability drop setting, we will go directly to the sports arena.” Said Jo Fizer who then raised one hand to show the way and let the young people follow him.

While following the head of the Academy to the sports arena, Ren, Yola and Lucy recall the events they just saw.

They just found out Anna's true nature that she had never shown before. They thought Anna was just a relaxed person who didn't seem to take a conversation or issue seriously.

Because of the experience, they finally decided to be careful the next time they want to argue with Anna.
