Chapter 18: Ryo vs. Kushina!

“Ryo Yamanaka, this is all you have?” The storm of Kushina's attack greatly overwhelmed Ryo. The speed and power given to him by the One Tail Cloak mode is wilder than anything he could have ever imagined of him. The mode of the Thunder Chakra and the blade of the Chakra was barely enough for defense.

“Well, since I'm in this condition, I don't think it needs to be too good with my Sensei.” Ryo said that as he spread chakra throughout his body, switching to Lightning-Es Chakra Mode!

Since his eyes could not keep up with Kyuubi's fashion speed, he simply closed them.

“[Water Press: Wild Water Wave!” Ryo opened his eyes and aimed away from Kushina releasing this C-class Jutsu. However he continued his attack on Ryo without thinking about it.

"Frozen!" The waves of water froze, and Kushina's fist hit Ryo's back! At that moment, he disappeared.

"Ninjutsu Space-Time?" Being Minato's girlfriend, she was familiar with Justu the God of Flying Lightning that she used! And the technique used by Ryo earlier was very similar to that.

“[Chidori]!” On the ice behind Kushina, Ryo quickly formed his seal. And with whatever chakra was left, he released Chidori, losing his mode of lightning chakra simultaneously.

Less than a meter away from Kushina, it was a direct attack!

The Ice and Sharingan are Ryo's most important trump cards. They were secrets known only to a select few: His ownership of the Sharingan was known only to Yamanaka Chinse, Yamanaka Inoichi, and Hatake Sakumo; with the latter being the only person who knew about his ice affinity.

The reason why Ryo revealed the secret of his Ice Element was because on one hand, he overwhelmed him and he felt the need to use it, and on the other, he was his instructor. He knows from the anime that the relationship between the instructor and their student is always strong, and that having to go on a mission with him will make him finally gain a strong bond and reveal all the secrets anyway. So he decided to take the initiative and break the ice by being very honest.

"Is this some sort of bloodline boundary technique?"

Ryo shook his head and said he didn't know.

Characteristically, Kushina is more of a simple-minded person, who will only throw away problems they cannot solve. So he went on to ask:

After eating ramen, Kushina sent Ryo back home after agreeing to meet the next day at the 3rd training ground .

After greeting her and returning home, Ryo lay on his bed remembering their fight

This battle was the most fun he had since he crossed over. His battle with Sakumo usually finished very quickly due to the huge difference in skill and strength.

And fighting Jounin who is also a Jinchuriki is a great way for him to train enough to survive the upcoming war, even though he will probably continue to lose to him.

And also having Kushina Uzumaki, of all people, as her teacher is not bad either!
